Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had such a fun Christmas. It was so nice to be in our very own home, speaking of I have never posted pictures of our house on here, I will have to do that.
Christmas is not Christmas until we do our Sheppard family nativity. Every year we act out the nativity with J.D.'s family. J.D. has been doing this ever since he was born. Lachlynn and I were "sheppards", how fitting, and J.D. was a wise man and a donkey!


Then we went to my parents and we open Christmas pj's. Lachlynn opened hers and said " oh my jammies".



She had such a good time opening presents! I think her favorite things she got were her baby doll and these blocks. I find her in her room playing with the blocks and her dolly all the time, it's so cute. She will talk to her baby and say things like. " nigh, nigh baby" or singing to her baby while rocking her.


She loves to dress like me. I was wearing high heels the other day and she went and got her dress up shoes and put them on. Later I was trying on my new leg warmers and she wanted to wear some,so this is Lachlynn's version.

Another wedding cake! I was pretty busy with cakes this month, but I have had a lot of fun too. I need to make a cake blog so not every post has pictures of cakes. Anyways this one was three tier. The bottom was vanilla with raspberry filling, the middle was a spice cake with butter cream filling, and the top was chocolate with raspberry filling. The outside was a vanilla butter cream frosting. It was for my cute cousin's wedding. Anyways now that I have cakes out of the way, I can focus on Christmas full force! I love Christmas, Lachlynn was so little last year and didn't really understand what was going on, but this year she is excited which makes me and J.D. way excited! I hope you all have a happy Christmas!

Latest creations!

Well I made this wedding cake for a girl in my ward, and it was so fun. It takes a lot of work, but I really enjoy making them. There's nothing like put that last touch to the cake and calling it good! This was a 3 tier cake, all vanilla with a raspberry filling, almond butter cream, and vanilla fondant.


This one was for my friends little girl, she was turning one and wanted an owl smash cake.

Well the other night when the so called blizzard rolled into town my niece was sleeping over and wanted to go out in the snow, so we braved it and played in it for awhile. I was so fun!!! I love Lachlynn's little snow gear.



We celebrated my 24th birthday, man I feel old. I still feel like Iam 18. It was so fun. Anybody who knows me knows I LOOOVVVEEE my birthday. I pretty much can't sleep the night before. J.D. goes the extra mile each year to make it really special. He is very sweet. Also if anybody knows me they will know I LOOOOVVEE cake. So like always I ate cake for my birthday breakfast and so did Lachlynn, what a good mom.


Like I said I just love this girl! She got new Pj's, she calls them her ridit jammies, because they have frogs all over them. She had just woken up and I love her messy hair. She is finally getting hair! YAY!!!


We put up Lachlynn's Christmas tree in her room and she loves it! She can't fall asleep with out it on. If I forget she will tell me "mama lights on".

The other day I was cleaning the house and I realized that I hadn't seen her in a while. I looked everywhere and was calling her name, but she was nowhere to be found. I walked by the laundry room and noticed out of the corner of my eye the dryer door open. She was playing hid and go seek, but didn't let me know. She is so clever!

She is getting really excited with all the Christmas stuff. The other day the "Toys r us" magazine came in the mail and she loved looking at all the toys.

Happy Halloween!

We had some much fun this Halloween. We wanted to be mummies so we made our costumes and the best part was that J.D. did everything. He spent hours sewing all the costumes, what a great dad!




The very first house we went to the lady gave Lachlynn some m&ms and she sat right on her door step and wanted to start eating them. She had so much fun. Halloween is so fun with little ones!

By the end of the night she had just had it!!

Update... lots of pictures!

So the other day I went to the dr because I have been getting migraines, and of course they want to draw blood. I hate needles!! I was brave and let them do it, but I didn't know it would hurt so bad!! They hit nerves while doing this so my arm is in the most pain I have had in a long time! I don't know if you can see it in the pictures, but it is so bruised! My arm was swollen and I couldn't move it for days. I went to the dr and he said I have nerve damage, so AM taking medicine like crazy. Moral of the story is.. think twice before letting them stick ya!


My little brother Landon plays football at hunter high, he is a senior this year, so me and J.D. have been die hard fans. He is so talented, it's been so fun to go to pretty much all of his games.

Lachynn LOVES Halloween. J.D. checked out a Halloween book from the library and it's her favorite thing, You can ask her what a ghost, bat, witch, monster,wolf, mummy, pretty much anything says and she will tell you. We went to garner village and she loved all the stuff there. She calls every Halloween decoration "pooky".


We went to the pumpkin patch and lachlynn loved it. She kept sitting on the pumpkin like chairs, she loves chairs.




Often times I will be doing stuff around the house and I will realize that it is quiet, then I will find Lachlynn reading in her room.


Lachlynn loves her daddy, they wrestle, sing, dance, and love each other, they are so fun to watch.
