Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Carving

We went to a pumpkin patch here in Thousand Oaks last Friday.  We then carved the pumpkin tonight.  Here are the pictures:

Trick or Treat Street

Halloween 2009 is upon us.  We had our first dress-up event on Saturday at the Thousand Oaks Community Center.  This year Stacy and Reagan are Maleficent and Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.  Merrick is Darth Vader, and I'm an undead Sith Lord from Star Wars.  Some of the little girls were scared of Stacy's Meleficent costume, but a lot of them came up to see her--she felt like one of the characters at Disneyland.  Merrick was super excited when someone in a Darth Vader costume showed up.  This was the best Darth Vader costume I've ever seen.  It also helped that the guy was probably 6'6".  Merrick was a little scared when he got close to him, but he still gave him a high five.  After we met Darth Vader, Merrick, Dustin, and I had an epic lightsaber battle.           

Cincinnati, Chicago, Disneyland, and Birthday Parties

Here is a quick summary on what the Adams Family have been up since we last posted. On October 7, Merrick and I went to see the first game of the NLDS. Merrick was a really good sport, and cheered for the Dodgers the whole time. He was also very patient, because the game last 4 and half hours. The next day I flew to Cincinnati for an Australian Football Tournament. The San Francisco team did really well--we finished third out of 24 teams. After the tournament I rented a car, and drove to Chicago to run a booth with Dustin at the Coil Winding Convention. After three days of selling bobbin winders, we flew back to Los Angeles.

While I was gone for a week, Stacy had the daunting task of watching all three kids by herself. Fortunately, she had help from family. After I got home from Chicago we went to Disneyland. Reagan got to meet all of the princess while she had lunch. The next day, October 17, we celebrated Chloe's birthday at Moorpark. The next day we went to Underwood Farms for another birthday party.

Everyone is a little upset that the Dodgers lost in the playoffs, but life goes on. Here are a ton of pictures in no particular order, because I'm too lazy to order them:

Weekend Trip to Half Moon Bay

On Saturday, Lincoln, Stacy, and I drove up to Half Moon Bay to attend one of Stacy's college friend's wedding. Link was an excellent long distance passenger. On Sunday, we went and visited Melvin, and then drove back down South. While we were up in the Bay Area, Reagan and Merrick were having a lot of fun at my parents' house in Oak Park. They went to the Moorpark zoo, a volleyball tournament, and hiked in the hills. Thanks for watching the little ones.

Yesterday, we made a quick trip to La Canada to visit our friends from Walnut Creek, who are living down South now. Merrick and I played a great game of disc golf, while Link, Reagan, and Stacy went to the library and the park. Afterwards, we all went swimming and slid down the slip-and-slide. Stacy and I love the La Canada area, and hope that we will have enough money

to someday move there.

Tonight, Merrick and I are going to the Dodgers playoff game. Merrick has been asking to go to Dodgers stadium for the past week. Hopefully the Dodgers can win.

Tomorrow I'm flying out to Cincinatti for my Nationals Aussie Football tournament. Afterwards, I'm driving up to Chicago for a Winding Systems Convention. Dustin and I are going to have a booth for Adams-Maxwell. This whole trip is going to take a week, so this means that Stacy and the kids are going to need a lot of help. So if anyone wants to help out, we would be very appreciative.
