T'is the holiday season

My baby sister is home! 4 Months in Moscow, Russia and she is finally home. I have missed her like crazy. She had an amazing time and said that it was "bitter sweet" coming home. We picked her up at the airport at MIDNIGHT! I can't tell you the last time I stayed up that late. I didn't end up getting home until 3:30 am. It was worth it. 

One of Chet's best friends has been dating his (Chet's) cousin Shayla. We LOVE it! They are so much fun to hang with. Shayla turned 25 on the 18th and when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said she wanted to go on a date with me and Chet, without our kids.... DEAL! We drove down town on, probably the coldest night of the season, and ate at Tuconos, yummy. Then we walked around temple square and looked at all of the lights. We had so much fun. 

 Our Taylor family Christmas party was a blast this year. Our kids are all getting older and are playing so well together. This picture is Bailee, and Brian and Mindie's boys, Kash and Ridge. We had to document them sitting with Bailee... that really never happens. My poor Mom had oral surgery the day before our party and was all bruised and bleeding like crazy. Kane ended up taking her to the hospital to see if they could stop the bleeding. They ended  up sending her down to Orem to an Oral Surgeon. She is doing better now but had to miss out on our awesome party. 

Gardner Village

This year we went to Gardner Village in Midvale. If you have never been, now is the time to go. During the month of October, they go all out and decorate for Halloween. They have the cutest witches with different themes everywhere! Jack loves it and Gwen, well she didn't know what to think. I sat her next to one of the witches and she FLIPPED! She looked at the witch and immediately started crying and trying to get away! Other than her little episode, we had a blast walking around and seeing all of the fun decor.

 

Bailee Jo

My baby sister is in Russia for 4 months with a group (International Language Program) teaching 5 year old children English. She has been there for almost 2 weeks now. We miss her like crazy but we are so proud of her. She recently sent some pictures but no descriptions but I thought I would share them.

August

Holy smokes where did this year go? I can't believe that my babies are 4 and 1 now. They are both at some pretty fun ages right now. Jack wants to help so much and Gwen is finally big enough to sort of keep up with her brother. For Jack's birthday we had a big pirate treasure hunt party at the park with friends and family. It was such a blast! We didn't really do much for Gwen's birthday but she had fun opening and playing with her presents. We had a BBQ at my parents' house the next day where she got her cupcake. She was a little sketchy about it at first but it didn't take long for her to dig in! 

My baby sister Bailee is leaving for Moscow, Russia first thing in the morning. I am so excited/nervous for her to go. She is going to be teaching English to children for about 4 months and will be back just in time for Christmas! She is going to have a blast and I cant wait for pictures and to hear about all of the cool experiences she has.

Playing Catch Up!

Okay it has been a long time since I have done a really great post. First thing, HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TO ME AND CHET! We went out to dinner last night to celebrate and we had a blast. Bailee was kind enough to take a picture of us, she said that we are cheesy, and I am okay with that.

(just FYI, These are not in chronological order) 

Jack had his end of the year preschool program and he rocked it. We had to get a picture with his amazing teacher, Miss Sheila.  

For Memorial weekend we were in good old Delta, Utah staying at my brother Justin's house. Bless him and his wife Carolyn for letting us all camp out on their floor, beds, wherever we could find a spot!                                                    

 My sister-in-law, Steffany called me randomly one day and asked us to go to Wheeler Farm. I had never been so naturally I said yes! The boys had a blast seeing all of the animals.

And of course we have done TONS of swimming at the Maxfield residence. What an amazing family to let us come and swim every week! THANKS! 

I have an underwater camera so obviously we went crazy with it!

Taylor/Loader Family Picture 2012

Just the biggest family EVER!!! I didn't think it was that big until we got family pictures. I think they turned out super cute. Bless the photographer, trying to get a perfect shot with 14 little kids? What a chore! 

I have been slacking in the blog department. This is not an official post by any means but here is a little something something just to show you how big, and stinkin cute my little baby is! Gwen is 8 months now and sitting up, getting ready to crawl. I just got her her very first polka dot bikini and it looks so cute on her! Can't wait for summer. Here she is...

Stitches #2

It has only been 8 months since the last stitches incident. My goodness! There we were, getting ready to leave Lee and Steffany's house after a fun evening of awesome dinner and girl scout cookies and and all of the sudden.... CRASH! SCREAMING! BLOOD! Jack and Breken were running around chasing and playing and Jack ran into a door. Lee... being a nurse... bandaged him up. All Jack wanted at that moment was Breken! It was pretty cute. They kept Gwen while we took Jack to InstaCare. He had to get 6 stitches and he did amazing. He didn't cry or fight or anything! After all... this isn't his first rodeo and I know it wont be his last. What a tough little boy!

Doing Hair

For those of you folks who have no idea... When I got pregnant with Gwen, I got sick and really ornery. I started to not like doing hair. That is SO NOT ME! I love doing hair and am very passionate about it. So I told myself that I needed a break. I am not ever going to completely stop doing hair. I just needed a breather I guess. I was working for myself and honestly, I know this sounds crazy, but I really didn't enjoy that. Most people build up their clientele so that they can do their own thing. I always have been different from everyone, I like working for someone. I love going into work, doing hair and coming home, not worrying about clients calling me or being out of product or paying rent. Getting to the point... I found a cute little salon in Herriman, there are condos on top and businesses on the bottom. The owner of this salon lives upstairs but it is completely separate from the salon. Such a cool little set up. I am now working there on Monday and Tuesday evenings and am loving it! It is just what I needed. Get out of the house, do what I love, and not worry about a thing! It seriously is the PERFECT set up for me right now in my life and I couldn't be happier. If anyone wants to start coming to me, or come back to me, the salon is called

Best Friends

This picture was stolen from my sister-in-law, Steffany's blog but it is so freaking cute! Breken and Jack are exactly 4 weeks apart and have been buds from day 1. The day before New Years Eve, Steffany offered to keep BOTH of our kids. I know she is amazing! Chet and I were going to go snowboarding but the snow was crappy so we went to the Gateway and ate and shopped all night. The perfect date in my mind! Then on New Years Eve we went back to Steffany's house and celebrated the new year on Miami time. I guess you could say we are old farts now who can't make it till midnight. I'm okay with that! We have made it a tradition to celebrate with Lee and Steff and Breken and we LOVE IT!! Steff made some awesome chili verde and salsa and we had some yummy key lime pie for dessert. The boys seriously played non stop for probably a good 4 hours. Gwen fell asleep (and stayed asleep) on her bed and the adults played a hilarious redneck game.... I can't remember what it was called but it was so funny! What a fun way to celebrate the new year!
