Merry Christmas

Well tons has happened since the last post. Last Saturday was Kerrin's baptism, and we were so happy that we were able to go watch her. And then Monday was Christmas Eve, and we had fondue at my parents which was amazing and we all opened one Christmas present. Josh and I opened a new camera, which we were so excited about. (I still haven't uploaded the pictures from our old camera yet) Then Christmas came! Josh and I set our alarm for 7:30 and woke Farrah up and we all went down stairs and opened our presents. Josh surprised me with my last present...he got me an ipod video nano, which I had no idea he was thinking of getting me. I love it so much....and him. We got to my parents house at 9am, and we got to talk to David for the last hour of his two hour phone call home. He sounded so good...he just loves it out there in Austria. Next we had a great homemade breakfast from my dad, and then we opened up presents at my parents (we didn't get done till 2:30!) It was so fun. On Wednesday morning Josh and I got up at 5am and we left the house at 6am and we all headed down to Greenville Kentucky to visit Josh's family. We stayed there one night and then headed back to Ohio. Last night we had "date night" with Liana, Collin, Lilly, Janine, Nick, Laurel, Brandon, Maribeth, Scott, and Joel (Adra came too). We went to Graeter's ice cream and then went bowling. It was tons of fun (although I was extremely tired! Farrah stayed the night at Gramma's last night. Well there you go. Tonight is going to be so much fun, we are having a huge fondue party with the Skousen's (I think we are going to have 6 fondue pots running!)

Early Christmas

Last weekend we went over to Indiana to have an early Christmas with Josh's family. We had so much fun. Farrah and Anabelle played non stop, except for the occasional nap. We watched lots of movies, played a couple hands of texas hold em (until the boys gave up), and the boys had fun playing ping pong out in the new pole barn. We always have a blast when we all get together. On Sunday morning we opened our Christmas presents (there was a snow storm that passed during the night, so we didn't go to church because we couldn't see the road). Farrah did pretty well opening hers, except for the last few....she was too busy playing with her new toys to worry about opening any more. We had a great Christmas....and we still have two more to go (ours and my parents)This was Adra's first Christmas, and she did really well! By the way she is turning into a thumb sucker, within the last week she is becoming a pro at finding her thumb. Farrah only sucked her thumb a couple times. She is also a "drama queen", thats what I call her. She is such a good baby and hardly ever cries, but she can go from being perfectly content to being horribly upset in a matter of seconds.
Let me explain some of the pictures...
Josh had BC in the gift exchange, and part of his present was this wrestling mask. Last time he went to Mexico he met the man who makes all the masks for the professional wrestlers in Mexico. Josh bought a couple masks, one for himself and one for BC. Josh's wrestlers name is Dr. Wagner Junior (we all thought that was pretty funny). Farrah and Anabelle were not crazy about the masks at first but they were soon kissing their daddies while they had the masks on.






Suzanne made sock monkeys for all the girls, she also got Farrah a potty. Farrah thought that the monkey needed to go potty.

PEEPEE

Last night was pretty exciting. Farrah got an early Christmas present a while ago....a potty. Farrah likes to sit on it and try to go potty, so last night she wanted to go on it. She only sits on it for a couple seconds and then wants to go play some more, and last night was the same. Well about 15 minutes later, we were in the basement, and she ran over to me and kept saying "potty", so i took her upstairs and she sat on the potty for a couple seconds and jumped up, so i went and got a book to read to her so she would sit on the potty longer. She sat for awhile and then jumped up and started to pee, so i sat her back on the potty and she finished peeing in the potty! We were so excited. After she was done I showed her the pee and told her how proud i was that she went pee pee in the potty. She then preceded to stick her hand in the pee! so i quickly scooped her up and stuck her in the sink in the bathroom to wash her. Josh came up to see what was going on and i gave farrah to him and told him what she did....he was so proud. So he got another diaper on her, while i cleaned the bathroom floor. We then gave her a "way to go" sticker. Then we had farrah come back into the bathroom and we poured her pee pee down the toilet and had her flush it and say "bye bye pee pee"
It was very exciting.....we will just see if she does it again!

What a day

Well the day is not even half over, and I am spent! This morning a photographer came over to take pictures of Adra (we had a free 8x10 included in the newborn pictures we ordered) So the photographer came at 9:15, and Farrah was into everything, like all toddlers are, and she was there for almost 2 hours. Adra did well, but we will have to wait to see how the pictures turn out. Farrah seems to be into everything lately, and today she proved it! Well i decided to try and take some cute pictures of the girls after the photographer left. I have a mile high pile of laundry and a list a mile long to get done before this weekend! (inhale exhale......and relax......i just keep telling myself that!) Adra is crying.....got to go feed her.

Another weekend zooms by

Time just seems to be going by so fast. Adra is 8 weeks old today....I really can't believe it! There is so much to get done, and not enough time to do it. With the help of Joshua I am trying very hard not to get too stressed out! I am working on Christmas cards, and hope to get them out in the mail sometime this week....fingers crossed! This weekend we are having Christmas in Indiana with Josh's family, so i need to finish buying presents and then wrap them! OK, lets think of what we did over the last couple days. On Friday the girls and I went with my parents to to get a live tree for their house. Friday night was the ward Christmas party and we made gingerbread houses. Farrah loved it, she had fun eating and licking all the candies that were on the table. Saturday we did some more Christmas shopping, and stocked up with more diapers and wipes! OH and Adra had three huge blow outs on Saturday too, and another one Sunday morning!
Adra is talking so much more, she makes the sweetest noises, and she smiles a lot too!

Let it snow

Well we woke up this morning look out the window, and the ground was covered in snow....Farrah was very curious about it....it was so cute.
Yesterday i took the girls to the doctors, farrah got her second flu shot. Adra is now 9lbs and 12ounces, and is 22inches long......she is getting so big!

Thanksgiving

Wow it has been really busy the last week and a half. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. On Tuesday and Wednesday of last week we got to visit with the Larson's, Shaner's, and Johnson's. It was a really quick visit, but fun. Farrah had fun playing with Ava and Mia, they were so cute together. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Jill. Then on Thanksgiving morning we left nice and early to go to Kentucky. This was our first Thanksgiving with Joshua's family. We had a lot of fun, and everyone was excited to see Adra, and of course Farrah. Clyde and Suzanne made three turkey's, and there was a ham, and tons and tons of delicious sides. We stayed there till Sunday, and ate amazing leftovers the whole weekend. Farrah had so much fun with Charlie and Noah. I loved having them watch her too! Josh went home on Sunday and left early monday morning for Mexico, and I went with the girls to Indiana to visit with Clyde, Suzanne and Molly. We had a lot of fun. I loved having help with the girls during the night. Wednesday night Farrah decided she was not going to sleep at all, so Suzanne and I took turns keeping her. She had a bad cough and ended up throwing up because of her coughing. It was a rough night, and I was so grateful I wasn't alone! Farrah got really good at saying "Pappi" (which is Clyde). Clyde's office is right next to the house so every morning Farrah would look out the bedroom window and wave at Pappi and shout for him....it was so sweet. We had a lot of fun in Indiana, we went shopping in Evansville two of the days, and I got a lot of Christmas shopping done. We made some really good cupcakes one night, chocolate with candy bar bits in the them with homemade cream cheese frosting. We missed Josh a ton! They brought us home Friday late afternoon, and Josh got home soon after.....Farrah was so excited to see her daddy! I am so thankful for my family! My babies are such beautiful angels. Joshua is such a great daddy, and i love seeing him with the girls, they love him so much! I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner....time is just flying by.

What a weekend

Wow this was a really busy weekend. Suzie, Clyde and Molly came into town on Thursday, and BC, Hope and Anabelle, came into town on Friday! We had so much fun. Saturday was my 24th birthday. We first went to Christmas in Springboro, and then went to my moms house for dinner and cake. It was so much fun to have everyone there. Josh and I are so blessed, not only do both of us have amazing families but both of our families are friends, I just love it! On Sunday Josh blessed Adra at church, and then we all went back to my parents house for dinner. It was such a great weekend. Josh's family left last night, and we miss them a ton, but we will see them all Thursday (i can't believe thanksgiving is almost here!) Tomorrow the Larson's are coming and Wednesday the Josnson's and Shaner's are coming! I just love the holidays!
