Mean Old Witch

I can't get enough of this video.  She loves this song, and I can't get over how much she sounds like Grandma Janice when she says "nose."

Millie - 5 months

Millie is growing!  She's still a pretty perfect baby.  She has stopped sleeping through the night but I think it is because I go to her at the littlest noise.  I think I don't have enough time during the day to be with her, so I am more than ok to wake in the night with her.  Plus I enjoy snuggling with her.  She loves playing in the exersaucer and loves playing with toys.  She is starting to not LOVE her binkie like in the past, but she makes all kinds of cute little talking sounds.  We started her on food this past month.  She has loved it all.  Of course she is a squash loving baby with us as her parents. Her siblings still adore and make her laugh.  She isn't rolling like most babies.  (she can roll from her tummy to her back but she has only done it a handful of times)  She has the ability though to move wherever she wants.  She lays on her back and arches her back so she can scoot with her legs.  It's quite efficient for her, and she almost fell off the bed the other day in a matter of seconds!
We love our little baby girl.  However, time is flying by! 

Hey Ferb! I know what we're going to do today!

Carter LOVES the show Phineas and Ferb!  We decided to have his 7 year old birthday party centered around the Disney show that he can't get enough of.  It was a hit!

As kids arrived, they got to choose a guitar to decorate so they would be ready to rock to the hit song, "Today is gonna be a great day!" (From the show)  I was so impressed to see all the different designs.  Some of them were really unique and well done.

Here is the guitar rock off!  It was so darling.  We did it twice, but the 2nd time we had a contest to see who was rocking the best.  They really got into it, as you can see!

We also had the kids make their own pizzas in the "pizzainator."  They were yummy!

Afterwards we split into 2 groups.  The first group used pipe insulator and tape to create rollercoasters, just like Phineas and Ferb did.  They used marbles to test the rollercoaster tracks.

 The 2nd group went with Chris to make Phineadroids and Ferbots with all of Chris' left over electrical pieces and nuts and bolts.  They were super cute!

We then came and had cake and ice cream - which was of course Perry the Platapus or as he is called on the show "Agent P."

Carter got so many nice presents from these friends.  He's been playing legoes all weekend!  He is a great kid and we sure love him and are glad he is part of our family.

Pumpkin Pickin'

 We usually go to a pumpkin patch, but this year we were so busy there was never a night that we could do so.  SOOO, we headed to Grammy's in Willard to just pick out some pumpkins.  It was a beautiful fall evening.  I hope I always remember the suns rays hitting my kids blond hair, and their enthusisam to be picking out the biggest and best pumpkin.  Afterwards we went to Maddox drive-in and then drove to see the new Brigham City temple.  I love this little family of mine!

Super Heroes to the Rescue!

Calling all super heroes! 
This year the Coombs' crew answered the call. 
It all began with the WonderWomen costume that was found at a flea market in PA, for Kathryn.  Kimball wore his Superman costume EVERYDAY from the time we bought it till Halloween day - it had holes in it!  Chris and I were going to be Batman and Robin...but let's just admit it wasn't the year for superhero costumes...they are all made out of spandex! So we had to take the costumes that would fit.  Chris ended up as Thor (we hadn't even seen the show!) and I was Batgirl.  Carter obliged to be my sidekick - Robin.  Millie was SuperBaby...she was pretty cute!

 Halloween festivities began at my parent's Halloween party.  Our friends the Adams and Malan's came this year.  It was pretty fun! It was fun to see the friends and cousins that came.

FUNNY Story:  On Halloween morning, Kimball wanted to get dressed in his costume.  I told him we first had to have Joann fix the holes in the costume.  I had just gotten out of the shower and was feeding Millie.  Kathryn and Carter were downstairs playing so I didn't even question when Kimball disappeared.  10 minutes later, Joann called me and said, "Are you missing a child?"
Kimball (my 3 year old) had walked the 4 BLOCKS - crossing 3 roads, barefooted, to take Joann his costume to get sewed.  I guess he knocked on the door and said, "Will you have your mom fix this?"
I was so mad, but laughing so hard.  He is quite independent and is not gonna wait for me to get things done.  We've since had a good talk about how dangerous it could have been.  I'm so thankful that he knew where to go and that nothing happened to him on his way.

Halloween night we had Kirk and Tricia and their kids come trick or treating with us.  We had dinner together and had a good time.  I don't think the kids got to much candy...Kathryn and Kimball's is all gone, and I haven't been able to raid Carter's - it's out of sight!  Kimball did take about 10 pieces and give one to each of his friends at preschool.  I thought that was pretty sweet.

1st Day of Preschool

I'm so blessed to get to be my kids preschool teacher.  I love that they get to come to Mary's Little Lambs preschool and I get to see how they interact with their peers and learn in school.  This was our first day of school.

Happy Birthday Grandma Janice

We had a surprise tea party for Grandma's birthday.  It was held at the Grand America.  She thought she was going to see Lorraine get an award, but instead we were all there.  Shawna and Marianne (her nieces) came.  Mindy, Melanie, and Marsha were there, and then me and my mom.  Millie was the only child that got to come.  She wore the BEAUTIFUL dress that Grandma bought her.  We each gave grandma a wish and she wished us one.

Bear Lake Round 2

The 2nd time we went to Bear Lake with the Coombs and the Jensens and the Brownings.  We had a great time boating.  With Jon's boat, we had two boats to play with.  The boys were CRAZY on the tubes.  Jon, Trevor, Chris, Richard and Ryker had some highly intense tube rides.  The kids loved playing on the beach again, and Millie hung out under the shade!
