"Köp Dig Lycklig" (a tradução disso é algo como 'compre a sua felicidade') é o álbum lançado pela Ursut em 2016 e digo que está melhor que "Dårarnas Paradis", o primeiro álbum lançado pela banda. Eu cheguei a essa conclusão ao escutar os dois álbuns várias vezes e "Köp Dig Lycklig" é mais agressivo musicalmente e tal, mas o maior fator está em relação as letras. Ok, as letras foram escritas em sueco (eu sei apenas algumas palavras), mas eu acompanho a página da Ursut no Facebook e em uma dessas postagens estava falando que este álbum foi baseado nas idéias contrárias ao neoliberalismo econômico (neste caso o título do álbum está perfeitamente de acordo com a idéia). Em suma: é muito saber que ainda existem bandas que transmitem excelentes idéias aos ouvintes. Massa! 


"Köp Dig Lycklig" (translation means 'buy yourself happiness') is the album released by Ursut in 2016 and I say that it is better than "Dårarnas Paradis", the first album released by the band. I came to this conclusion by listening to the two albums several times and "Köp Dig Lycklig" is more aggressive musically and such, but the biggest factor is in relation to the lyrics. Ok, the lyrics were written in Swedish language (I know only a few words), but I follow Ursut's Facebook page and in one of those posts was related to the lyric concept of the album, which was based on ideas contrary to economic neoliberalism (in this case the album title is perfectly in keeping with the central idea). In short: it's great to know that there are still bands that convey excellent ideas to listeners. Very good!

Eu lembro do show da Abske Fides no Exhale The Sound em 2014 e que show foda! Pra mim foi uma das melhores apresentações e bati cabeça pra caralho quando tocaram "Won't You Come" (esse som é muito foda!). Tenho ótimas memórias desse evento e nunca me esquecerei disso. Bom, diante de todo esse relato, eu fiquei muito ansioso para ouvir "O Sol Fulmina A Terra", álbum lançado pela banda em 2016. Simplesmente o álbum é muito, mas muito bom mesmo, na qual escutei e escuto com bastante frequência. Das cinco faixas que compõem "O Sol Fulmina A Terra" eu destaco as seguintes faixas: "Na Planície Vermelha", "Imóveis Ares" (faixa com uma boa influência de Neurosis) e "Terra Vazia" (a vinheta ou monólogo inserido nesta faixa foi retirada do filme "Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol" lançado por Glauber Rocha em 1964). Vale destacar que todas letras desse álbum foram escritas em português, sendo que a morte, miséria, solitude e a vida pesada de baixo de um sol ardente são os temas abortados pelos caras e pra mim isso remete as regiões do Brasil com clima árido (alguns livros da literatura brasileira [influência lírica] e a capa retratam muito bem essa idéia). Pra finalizar, um dos melhores registro de 2016. Sem mais! 


I remember the Abske Fides show at Exhale The Sound in 2014 and that was spectacular. For me it was one of the best performances and I shook my head a lot when they played "Won't You Come" (this song is great!). I have great memories of this event and I will never forget that. Well, in the face of this whole story, I was very anxious to hear "Sol Fulmina A Terra", the album released by the band in 2016. Simply the album is very, very good and I have listened a lot. Of the five tracks that compose "Sol Fulmina A Terra" I highlight the following tracks: "Na Planície Vermelha", "Imóveis Ares" (track with a good influence of Neurosis) and "Terra Vazia" (the vignette or monologue inserted in this track Was taken from the brazilian movie called "Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol" released by Glauber Rocha in 1964). It is worth mentioning that all the lyrics on this album were written in Portuguese, with death, misery, solitude and the hard life under a burning sun are the themes aborted by the guys and for me this refers to the regions of Brazil with arid climate (some books of Brazilian literature [lyrical influence] and the cover art portray this idea very well). To finalize, one of the best record of 2016. No more words!

"Hell Is Hell" é o último registro lançado pela Left Cross em 2016 e está simplesmente matador. Composto por três faixas, esse EP segue o mesmo caminho destrutivo do registro anterior, porém "Hell Is Hell" é mais apocalíptico para mim. Sem sombra de dúvida, a faixa "Hell Is Hell" é a melhor faixa desse EP. Indicado para admiradores de Discharge, Bolt Thrower e death metal em geral. Fodido!

"Hell Is Hell" is the last record released by Left Cross in 2016 and is simply killer. Composed of three tracks, this EP follows the same destructive path as the previous record, but "Hell Is Hell" is more apocalyptic to me. Undoubtedly, the track "Hell Is Hell" is the best track of this EP. This is suitable for fans of Discharge, Bolt Thrower and death metal in general. Badass!

Eu conheci essa banda no ano passado e gostei do som deles. Gomora é uma banda tcheca e eles tocam crust punk/d-beat e o resultado adquirido neste álbum é interessante. Composto por oito faixas, "Popel A Prach" é um álbum agressivo com algumas melodias, onde as músicas são muito bem elaboradas. Esse álbum é bom e pra mim a Gomora é uma das bandas revelações de 2016 (sim, a banda tem registros anteriores a este álbum, mas eu conheci eles ano passado). A arte de capa é magnífica e relaciona perfeitamente com o título do álbum (a tradução é algo como 'cinzas e pó'). Da hora!


I listened to this band for the first time last year and I like their noise. Gomora is a Czech band and they play crust punk/d-beat and the result acquired on this album is interesting. Composed by eight tracks, "Popel A Prach" is an aggressive album with some melodies, where the songs are very well done. This album is good and for me the Gomora is one of the revelation bands of 2016 (yes, the band has previous records to this album, but I first heard the noise of them last year). The cover art is magnificent and relates perfectly to the album title (the translation is something like 'ash and dust'). So cool!

Scum Crusade é uma banda sueca e os caras são muito bons. Este registro é como uma bomba explodindo em um campo de batalha, pois o que se escuta aqui é uma mistura perfeita entre Driller Killer e Bolt Thrower (tanto nos sons, como nas letras). Das sete faixas que compõem este registro, eu destaco: "PTSD", "Class War", "Bring The Chaos" e "Eat The Rich", embora as outras faixas são boas também. Scum Crusade é uma das revelações de 2016 e este registro é muito bom! Lute contra a escória e traga o caos! Massa!


Scum Crusade is a Swedish band and the guys are very good. This record is like a bomb exploding on a battlefield, because what you hear here is a perfect mix between Driller Killer and Bolt Thrower (both in songs and in lyrics). Of the seven tracks that make up this record, I highlight: "PTSD", "Class War", "Bring The Chaos" and "Eat The Rich", though the other tracks are good as well. Scum Crusade is one of the revelations of 2016 and this record is very good! Fight the scum and bring the chaos! Badass!

ASPHYX - INCOMING DEATH

O death metal holandês sempre foi algo que eu realmente admirei e vou continuar admirando e esse novo álbum da Asphyx é a prova disso. "Incoming Death" começa com "Candiru" (talvez seja uma homenagem ao peixe-vampiro brasileiro, que na verdade esse peixe é um parasita que pode penetrar nas genitálias das pessoas, pois esse peixe é atraído pelo cheiro da urina e só pode ser removido através de uma cirurgia) sendo uma das melhores faixas. O álbum contém mais outras dez faixas e eu destaco as seguintes músicas: "Division Brandenburg", "Wardroid", "The Feeder", "Forerunners of the Apocalypse" e "Subterra Incognita". A arte de capa ficou por conta mais uma vez de Axel Hermann. Resumindo: esse álbum é bom.

Antes de mais nada, eu tenho que dizer que a Ruinas é uma das minhas bandas favoritas hoje. Quando eu escutei pela primeira vez o barulho deles (juntamente com a Claustrophobia), eu fiquei bastante feliz por existirem bandas sul-americanas tocando esse tipo de som. "Ruinas" é o primeiro álbum da banda e o terceiro registro desse crusties argentinos, na qual a cada lançamento está um melhor que o outro. Este álbum contém sete faixas pesadas, sujas e muito rançosas, onde quem curte bandas como, Sanctum, Hellshock, Instinct of Survival, After The Bombs, Amebix, Axegrinder, Antisect e Deviated Instinct (as melhores influências) vão simplesmente adorar todas as faixas. Eu digo isso com grande ênfase, pois tenho escutado bastante este álbum deste o ano passado. Na boa, isso está realmente massa demais e um dos melhores registros de 2016. Foda! O único ponto negativo que eu destaco é que não assisti nenhuma apresentação da Ruinas no Brasil no ano passado (maldito dinheiro!). 


First of all, I have to say that Ruinas is one of my favorite bands today. When I first heard their noise (along with Claustrophobia), I was quite happy to have South American bands playing that kind of sound. "Ruinas" is the band's first album and the third record of this Argentine crusties, in which each release is better than the other. This album contains seven heavy, dirty and very stench tracks, where people who enjoy bands like Sanctum, Hellshock, Instinct of Survival, After The Bombs, Amebix, Axegrinder, Antisect and Deviated Instinct (the best influences) will simply love all the songs. I say this with great emphasis, because I have heard it a lot since last year. Well, that's actually pretty good and for me it's one of the best records of 2016. Badass! The only negative point I should say here is that I did not see any show of Ruinas in Brazil last year (damn money!).

"Anarchic" é o último álbum lançado pela Skagos e pra quem manja ou não, eles são uma banda de cascadian black metal. Porém este álbum está bem experimental e de cara você pode pensar que se trata de uma banda similar ao Pink Floyd ou de rock progressivo, pois as faixas são longas e estão mescladas ao caos do black metal, fazendo que as músicas combinem muito bem com as letras que são muito boas. Um disco muito bom de uma banda massa e com boas idéias.

"Anarchic" is the last album released by Skagos and for those who know or not, they are a cascadian black metal band. But this album is very experimental and soon you may think it is similar to Pink Floyd, or progressive rock band, because the tracks are long and are merged with the chaos of black metal, making the songs perfectly combine with the lyrics that are amazing. A very good album by a very good band and with good ideas.

Tanto o título como a capa são muito engraçados, mas não se engane, pois esse é um bom álbum de músicas covers de bandas conhecidas e desconhecidas por mim. O disco já começa com um cover muito massa da Venom "Warhead" com a participação de Scott Kelly (Neurosis) nos vocais. A próxima é o cover da Queen "You're My Best Friend" que começa com um teclado de um som de Game Boy, bacana. "Black Betty" é uma canção legal, porém misteriosa, pois não se sabe o autor. "Set It On Fire" é cover da The Scientist, banda que não manjo. O próximo é um cover do David Bowie "Station To Station", muito bom e tive a impressão nas primeiras audições que era o Mike Patton cantando, mas não é ele. Em seguida covers de bandas desconhecidas por mim, como The Kinks, Divine, The Fugs e Pop-O-Pies. Amigos de longa data, Jello Biafra dar o ar da graça no cover da banda inglesa Roxi Music "In Every Dreamhouse A Heartache", que ficou muito bom. O próximo cover eu pensei que era da Suicidal Tendencies devido a levada do som, mas é da Tales of Terror. Os dois últimos covers são de antigas bandas inglesas como The Jam e Throbbing Gristle, sendo essa última mais eletrônica. Melvins aplicando/coverizando bandas que outras pessoas não conhecem. Legal!


Both the title and the cover art are very funny, but make no mistake, because this is a good album of cover songs and the bands are known and unknown by me. The album already begins with a very good cover song from Venom "Warhead" with the participation of Scott Kelly (Neurosis) on vocals. Next up is a song from Queen "You're My Best Friend" that starts with a keyboard that resembles the video game Game Boy, cool. "Black Betty" is a cool but mysterious song, because the author is not known. "Set It On Fire" is a song by The Scientist, but I don't know this band. The next one is David Bowie's "Station To Station" cover song, very good and I had the impression in the first auditions that it was Mike Patton singing, but it's not him. Then songs by bands unknown to me, like The Kinks, Divine, The Fugs and Pop-O-Pies. Longtime friends, Jello Biafra sings the music of English band Roxi Music called "In Every Dreamhouse A Heartache", very good. The next track I thought was a song from Suicidal Tendencies due to the style of sound, but it's a cover song from Tales of Terror. The last two tracks are from old English bands like The Jam and Throbbing Gristle, the latter being more electronic music. Melvins showing and playing songs covers that other people don't know. Cool!

Das antigas bandas dos anos 80 de thrash metal, a Sodom se mantêm fiel a suas origens e cada álbum mostra o seu poder de destruição e em "Decision Day" a história se repete. Quando eu escutei e assisti pela primeira vez o lyric video "Caligula" eu já percebi que esse álbum seria matador. Pois então, o álbum é matador! Todas as músicas são agressivas e com muita energia para bater cabeça, mas eu destaco as seguintes faixas: "In Retribution", "Rolling Thunder", "Decision Day", "Caligula", "Strange Lost World" e "Blood Lions". A arte de capa que está muito foda e retrata muito bem o aspecto político do nosso mundo atualmente foi feita pelo mago do apocalipse Joe Petagno. Um dos melhores álbuns de 2016.


From the old bands of the 80's thrash metal, Sodom remain true to its origins and each album shows its power of destruction and in "Decision Day" history repeats itself. When I first listened and watched the lyric video "Caligula" I already realized that this album would be killer. Well, this album is killer! All the songs are aggressive and very energetic to headbanging, but I highlight the following tracks: "In Retribution", "Rolling Thunder", "Decision Day", "Caligula", "Strange Lost World" and "Blood Lions". The cover art that is excellent and perfectly portrays the political aspect of our world today was made by the wizard of the apocalypse Joe Petagno. One of the best albums of 2016.

E do outro lado é a Declínio Social de Divinópolis - Minas Gerais, banda hardcore/punk anarco libertário. Ambas as bandas se apresentam neste split com dois sons. A capa que ficou sensacional, ficou a cargo de Shunsuke Shimizu.

Split EP with two South American bands. On one side presents Autonomy, band from Peru that plays hardcore/punk (melodic and energetic) and that at some point you may think it is some band from California. And on the other side is the Declínio Social band from Divinópolis - Minas Gerais and they play hardcore/punk and the guys are libertarian anarchists. Both bands play two songs in this split. The cover art is sensational and was made by Shunsuke Shimizu.
