Fun with Daddy

These are a Few of Katelyn's Favorite Things...

Katelyn has started to show interest in my shoes. She'll get down a pair, wear them for about 2 feet of walking, and then go back for another pair. Katelyn likes to go outside. This is her all ready for a walk with daddy (minus shoes).

Katelyn loves the computer. That is kind of bad thing, because she isn't supposed to touch the computer. Which leads to the next thing she loves...doing things she isn't supposed to do. She loves to test her limits.

Katelyn love soft things. She also loves animals and to make animal noises.

Lastly, Katelyn loves treats. She was sharing this sucker with daddy and wasn't really wanting to share. (sorry the video is sideways. I always forget when I am recording.)

Baby Blyss

Katelyn is no longer the youngest Hancock grandchild! The Bradleys welcomed Blyss W. Bradley to their cute little family on November 12, 2010. She is very loved and very adorable! Thanks for the pictures Alli. We love you all the way from Ohio and can't wait to meet her in December!

Finishing Up Cara and Jory's Trip

My heavens, it has taken me forever to post all of the things we did with the Drakes. So here it is.....The Rest of the Story.



After the zoo, Devin joined us and we went to Steak and Shake for the first time. We thought it was fast food, but it is kind of a combo of an old fashion diner and fast food. We liked it. Katelyn really liked it. They gave her a hat and a fun cardboard car to play with. We had a good time.



We then made our way to an OSU volleyball game. Thanks to the Camerons for watching Katelyn. We didn't know how well she'd sit thought a game. It was really fun.


While on campus, Devin took us to show us the Shoe and the Library.

The next day, we went to Amish country. It was great--like a giant Mini Bazaar with horses and goats for Katelyn to look at. We also had some pretty good Amish cheese and tasty treats!

Zoo Day, HOORAY!

Here are some pictures from our zoo trip with Cara and Jory. The day started off really cold. Here is bundled up little Katelyn. It got warmer as the day went on, so the clothes and blanket came off by the end of the day.

This Rhino was eating out of a zoo worker's hand. It didn't look quite as ferocious as I thought it would.

Jory with the lions. That lions is staring right at Katelyn. We were glad for the fence, or she may have been his lunch!

The zoo was exhausting. Katelyn couldn't keep her eyes open when we got in the car. And neither could Jory.

Petting Zoo

We went to the zoo with Cara and Jory. Katelyn loved the petting zoo. She ran from goat to goat and pointed at their noses. It was really funny. I think we kept her in her stroller for too much of the day. She went a little crazy when we let her out.

Fun in Columbus

While Cara and Jory were in town, we went and saw all the things I've wanted to see in Columbus. I always ask my patient the things I should see while we are here, so I tried to fit as many as I could in while the Drakes were in town. Here are a few of the places we went.
We started at some Topiary Gardens downtown. All the hedges are arranged to look like a painting. It was pretty cool.

It was really neat. I am excited to take Devin back in the spring.

We also went to the North Market. It is an indoor farmer's market that has all sorts of food, flowers and fresh meat.


I also stopped the Drakes at the Columbus temple. It was the only place I didn't get lost trying to find. I'm sure they were relieved when I drove right to it.

And we did all of this before lunch! It was a busy, fun day.

Halloween

Halloween this year was a little bit different. In Columbus, if Halloween falls on a weekend, they don't do trick-or-treating on the 31st. They think Sunday is for worship, Saturday is for football, and Friday night is too dangerous for little kids to be out, so we did our Halloween on Wednesday and Thursday. Our ward did a trunk or treat Wednesday night. Devin took Katelyn and I met them there after work. She had a fun time and came home less one black shoe. So we went out again on Thursday in her white Sunday shoes. She still looked pretty cute though. Katelyn really liked trick-or-treating. She would go up, select a piece of candy from the candy bowl, and say "thank you." She can say trick-or-treat, but was usually just too excited to pick out the candy to do it at the right time, but at least she was grateful!

On Thursday we went trick-or-treating to the ladies I work with. They both had little goody bags especially for Katelyn. She was very impressed with Dr. Munz's dogs. She just "woofed" the whole time we were there. Thank you ladies for making Katelyn's night so fun. All in all, trick-or treating was very fun. We were glad Cara and Jory were here to come with us and are glad they took so many pictures!

After trick-or-treating, Katelyn tried on her new snow hat. It has been getting kind of chilly lately. These hat and mittens should keep her really warm.

We carved some pumpkins with Cara and Jory. It was very resourceful of Devin to think to light them with Yankee Candles.

We had a great Ohio Halloween and can't wait until next year!

The Great Outdoors!

Devin, Katelyn and I all were getting sick of being in the city (especially Devin) so this afternoon we drove about an hour south of here to the Hocking Hills area. It is a really cool national park that we visited the first couple weeks we were here. We had a great time. We didn't do any hikes the area has to offer, but we did find a dirt road. We followed that road for a few minutes, then Devin pulled to the side of the road so we could wander around in the grass fields and look at the trees. It really felt like Idaho(minus some mountains in the distance)!

With all the nature around us, Katelyn chose to play with the gravel by the side of the road. Don't worry, she only ate a little bit.

If we have to live out of Idaho, we are glad we live in Columbus. In just one hour, we went from big city, to fields and trees. We love the Buckeye State!

Autumn Time

We have been having a wonderful fall in Ohio. It is starting to get colder and the leaves are changing. October has been going very fast, which is great because we are looking forward to the Drakes visiting at the end of the month! Here are just a few pictures of our lives lately.

I went in to cover up Katelyn last week and this is what I found. The doctor told us to take off her bumpers so she wouldn't climb on them and be able to escape. I don't think this is very good either?

We went and played on the slide. It was a little chilly and Katelyn's cheeks came in rosy.

The Walkers sent one of Hallee's old Halloween costumes. It fits Katelyn really well. Here she is as a bumble-bee. I have since made her a cute black and yellow necklace to go with it. She has been practicing saying buzz. Halloween will be so fun!
