{Memorial Day Weekend '09}

This past weekend, we took advantage of the 3 day weekend and spend Memorial Day Weekend visiting family in Tennessee. So glad that Sara and Kelsey were in town as well. We had a blast!

William loved saying Geegee (GG), Soo-nee (Aunt Sonny), Gran Daddee (Great Grandaddy) and Say (Aunt Sara).

William and Riley had sooo much fun running around their yard (or grounds). William walked/hiked with this big stick, picked grass and giggled and laughed so hard when he tripped over a pile of pine straws. I took these photos with my iphone. I wish I used my Canon and also wish that I took some pictures with Aunt Sonja.

Another highlight of our trip was this wonderful seafood dinner at this marvelous restaurant overlooking the lake.We can't wait to go back!  As always we had a wonderful time.

{Yay yay 5K}

Today was the Chamblee 5K. My brother ran it with me, it was WONDERFUL!

I haven't ran a race for a while and I had such a high after the event.  The past two weeks, I made a commitment to get back on being active and stay healthy. Granted this race was not my personal best record -40:11, I was just so happy to finish. Ask me 3 weeks ago, if I would have finished a race----I would have said Heck no. With discipline and dedication, I was able to get back into decent shape to do a 3.25 mile run. One other good thing,  I'm on day 12 of the 30 day shred.Whoo hoo!

PDK has this great park as well.  We definitely are enjoying the fact that we have 3 big nice park that are within 5 miles from our house.

{Mother's Day}

...or more so Mother's weekend. I had a wonderful time. Ed and William spoiled me this past weekend with card and picture frame. Sunday was a very nice day, we went to church then headed over to Chequers for their Mother's day brunch. Food was delish! But look who enjoyed the chocolate fountain the most :) I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband and a child. They bring so much joy to my life. William definitely has Ed's personality and enjoys life to the fullest. Here's a current video of our giggle box :)

Brooke's Baptism

We were delighted and honored to attend the baptism of this precious lil girl. Congratulations Brooke!

{Spring at Callaway Garden}

Last week my Mom had a work conference at Callaway Garden. We decided to drive down and enjoy the sights with my family.

We started off with lunch at the Country Kitchen. Definitely if you are around Callaway, you have to try this place. The country cooking is superb and the ambience is definitely a treat! I should have taken a picture of the Fried Chicken I ordered. Oooh so good!
We had to burn off some of the food from lunch and decided to explore and walk around the Gardens. William had so much fun running around the grounds.

This whole area is so picturesque! We had so much fun feeding the turtles.We were just commenting how pretty these geese are. They almost looked faked (one that you can find in gift shops or painting) because they were perfect!****CLICK HERE FOR MORE PICTURES****

{At 18 months}

STATS:

25 lb; 32 inches

• Can say uh-oh, turtle, book, door,nose,shoes, Riley,snack,juice,ball, thank you, please, more, NO...among a few. This boy is constantly chatting.

We were watching Chuck (probably not the best show for a Toddler to watch) and in one of the scenes, the actor fell. William suddenly said uh oh. It was hilarious!

• Has transitioned from Mama to Mameee and Dadda to Dadee
• Still loves to read books. We have books everywhere in the car, living room, bedrooms. He never gets tired at look at them.
• Says hi to everybody - at the mall, elavator, store. Very friendly. He loves people with dogs. He always smile at them and says buh bye doggie.
• Gives classmates, teachers, family and Riley a hug all the time. Every time I pick him up, he goes around the classroom and gives his teacher and classmate a hug.
• Loves his Curious George doll and hugs it when he sleeps

• Can point to all body parts
• Loves chicken, fruit,fries, rice and steak-filet mignon to be exact!
• Very sweet and always make sure that both Mom and Dad each gets a hug from him.
• Is doing very well with spoon. Eats rice and apple sauce all by himself.
• Runs really fast.
• Loves bubbles, football, crayon and soccer ball
• Loves going on walks and playing at the park
• Is very good at sharing. We were at the doctor's office the other day and he handed a book to a lil girl. He also shares his toys with kids at church.
• Can point to all of his body parts
• Likes to watch Sesame street and Curious George
• Recognizes family and can point to them
• Loves cuddling with Mommy first thing when he wakes up and right before he goes to bed.
• Loves to dance and sing. Shakes his legs and booty when he hears music.

WE LOVE YOU WILLIAM! Can't believe that in 6 months you'll be two...maybe by that time Mommy and Daddy will start trying for a baby brother or sister for you. :)
