{Swimming Lessons}

The kids had their swimming lessons last Monday. This is Samantha's first. She's signed up for the dynababies class. Ed gets to swim with her throughout class. They are primarily focus on teaching water safety and being comfortable around the pool.

William's been two years ago, but this is his first year in a class with no parent's assistance. He's with pre-schoolers and they have one instructor with them.

William had a wonderful time and enjoyed every second of the lesson. He listened intently to the teachers instructions and go for it. The swimming goggles was a big deal. He borrowed one for his lessons and we pick up his own at the swim school's store after class.

Samantha's reaction was more complicated. She really wasn't too fond of the "creepy" bear mascot that they used to demo in class. 

She warmed up to class during the bubble and ball play. The lil ones were persuaded to kick their fit and "catch" the ball. That seem to have distracted her from the bear and enjoyed the rest of her lessons.

Overall, a successful first day of swim lessons for our lil fishes. They are already looking forward to next weeks.

{All About Me Poster}

The All About Me Poster is one of my favorite school project of William. I can't help but smile every time I look at it. I love it because it captures my lil boy's personality and heart.

He was super excited to work on this and was very specific on the items that he'd like to put on it.

• Favorite Restaurant: Waffle House (He said to note that he orders waffles and bacon)
• Favorite Toys: Beyblade and Skylander
• Favorite Trips: Mardi Gras and The Beach
• Favorite Holiday: Christmas
• Favorite Teams: Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves
• Favorite Sport: T ball
• What he wants to be when grows up: NINJA. This one, he was super excited about. We looked and looked at the internet for a picture of a ninja. It had to be perfect!

My a lot has changed since his last year's All About Me poster and some have remained the same.

Of course whatever big brother has, Samantha want one too. She wanted to carry a poster to school too. William being the awesome big brother, pretended that his poster was too heavy and he "needs" help carrying it. That appeased lil sister and all is well :)

{First Day of "Kindergarten"}

We were a lil concern with how William's first day would go. He's not five so technically he can't be at Kindergarten due to our state's age limit. His daycare knows his academic and maturity level so they assessed him as ready for their private kindergarten program. He wasn't as excited at his first day at school because most of his buddies have moved on to the big elementary school.

Ed and I were on pins and needles on how'd he do. I was ecstatic to see him with big a smile when I picked him up. When I asked him how his first day was, he said it was FANTASTIC! He seems to like his new teacher Ms. Tegan. I hope that he has great school year ahead!
