It's crazy how much little RJ has changed within the last few weeks. He's getting so big!

Our neighborhood

Most mornings Ross and I go for a walk around our neighborhood and at the park by our house. These pictures aren't anything special, just a few houses around. I just love the old, big, colorful, uniqueness of them.

This purple one is right across the street from us.

I know we cut off the top of this house, but it reminds me of a Hansel and Gretel house.

2 month (10 week) Dr. Appointment

We took RJ to the Dr. on the 15th. It was pretty hard for me! Wow. He did good during the appointment, but the shots came at the end. 3 shots, poor kid. Dave held Ross' arms while I turned away and cried. Dave was laughing at me throughout. I had just never heard that shrill cry of pain from the baby. I couldn't stand it. The next few days he was pretty fussy and you could tell that his legs were sore. Glad that's over. But dreading more shots at 4 months. No fun at all.

On a brighter note, we got to see how well he was growing. Dave and I have been saying how heavy he is and how chubby he's getting, so some of us and our family decided to guess his weight. I guessed 11 lbs 11 oz, Dave guessed 14 lbs 9 oz. Ha ha. Dave's mom ended up being closest at her guess of 12 lbs 8 oz. He weighed in at 12 lbs 12 oz. Feels much heavier! Ha ha.

Weight: 12 lbs 12 oz ---65th Percentile

Length: 22 inches --- 9th Percentile

Head Circumference: 40 cm --- 40th Percentile

Overall he's a very healthy boy. And last night was great, he slept for 6 hours, woke up to eat, then slept for 2 1/2 more hours. After church he stayed asleep in his car seat so Dave and I even got to take a nap! That hasn't happened for probably, hmmm, 10 weeks. Looking forward to more sleep in the future. Enjoy some pictures of our cutie hanging out on the back porch. We sit out there every day to water the flowers Grandma and Grandpa Saunders planted for us.

A lot of updates today! I've been behind on blogging, been a little busy. But since Dave's here and for now the kid is in bed, I decided I have to hurry and update this thing. Here are just a bunch of cute random pics.

So far we haven't made it through a full block of church. Usually it's just sacrament. Last week we made it until 10 minutes before church would be ending. Progress I guess.

At least he looks cute when we go.

So much happier when we get home and changed out of those clothes. Cutie. We go to the Dr. on Monday for his shots. Poor thing. We're excited to see his stats of how big he's getting.

Philadelphia

While Dave has been on break, we have tried to do some fun things together. One thing that we wanted to do was go to the USA vs. Mexico men's soccer game in Philadelphia. But since it's a 4 hour drive, we decided it would probably be best for me and Jr. not to come. So Dave went with a kid from class. They had a good time. They didn't want to spend the money for a hotel though, so he got home about 4 AM.

Dave said that the city was really cool to see. Maybe I'll be able to go next time. At least he took some pictures for me.

One semester down . . . . .

Well Dave is officially done with his first semester of grad school. He only has 3 left. This has been a pretty busy summer for all of us. He is anxiously waiting to see his grades. I know that he did great.

He has a 2 week break before the next semester starts, so we are all looking forward to spending some time together and relaxing. Dave has been so good at helping me with Ross throughout. He usually takes the middle of the night feeding which is so appreciated.

Little RJ and Dad were hanging out the other day and Dad took this cute video. Ross has the hiccups, which happens quite often.

Same old thing

Well life is basically the same thing day in and day out. Dave goes to the school every day except Sunday. Saturdays he may be home by 2 or so. Most days he's home around 6:30, unless he has a test to study for like tonight. I'm guessing he won't be home until 8:30 or 9. Lame. But the semester is over on Friday. I think we're all looking forward to it.

My days consist of feeding this kid and trying to get him to sleep in his bed. I have been feeling like crap lately so that doesn't help things. I've had some bad infections and am finally starting to feel a little better. Dave has been great though. He gets up in the night and gives Ross a bottle so I can pump. It's very much appreciated.

Some guys from Dave's class had a bbq on Saturday. It wasn't too far so we walked over and said hi. I'm sure they were all glad when we left though cause they were ready to party. No place for a baby!
