I first saw Patricia's paintings in the Boston art gallery I used to work for. I immediately fell in love with them, especially her dresses series. There is something ethereal and mysterious about them and in person, they are STUNNING in their complexity and color. I think I glimpsed one on Cameron Diaz's wall in "The Holiday" and her work was featured in the 2004 Piazza Sempione ad campaign.

I have come to really love the color grey for interiors. I am kind of wishing I has used it as the background palette for my own home instead of taupes. This article in the March Cottage Living only reaffirmed that regret! Although a monochromatic home is somewhat boring, there is also such a serene, clean feeling to it as well that I really admire. I love color, so it would be hard for me to only decorate my personal residence in these shades, but what a crisp tailored look it gives! I am especially partial to the bedroom color here, which is Pratt & Lambert's Rubidoux. I also want to have grass, like the pots shown here, in a long rectangular zinc planter on my dining table- but wonder if it would survive...

I was quite surprised by the art in the Pottery Barn catalog I received yesterday. I am loving these butterfly prints, especially the one with just the 2 large butterflies on the green wall below left.


These fashion inspired prints would look fabulous in a bedroom or bathroom.


I LOVE this subway sign, and it's on sale! LOVE! I think I might need it.

I saw this article in Sunday's Boston Globe Magazine and wan intrigued. Two sisters bought a brick townhouse in Jamaica Plain (my hood!) and renovated it top to bottom into two separate units for them to live in with their significant others. I dream of some day doing a gut renovation and have the ability to pick every single detail and this seems like an interesting, economical (and somewhat dangerous) way to do it- family and money is always sticky! Not to mention adding contractors and construction to that! I don't think any of my brothers would be keen on doing something like this. We'd probably kill each other and then torch the joint. But I really appreciate the detail, design and whimsy that the sisters created here!

I came across this line on Repro Depot Fabrics and thought it was an interesting collection-totally all over the board style wise, but each one is a great design- and only $8.95 a yard! I am wondering if this is the same Anna Griffin who has a stationery line?

I am totally enamored with this cool new invention. Another post singing the praises of Sunset Magazine. I loved this issue, specifically the IdeaHouse that they created in San Francisco! It's completely eco-friendly and a great example of how using elements that actually help the planet can be incredibly chic. Here are some of my favorite parts of the house (which you can read about here.) I am loving the chandelier that looks like bubbles- in fact I spotted them in picture from the Governor's Ball Oscar Party last night as well! (Was it just me or was that the most boring red carpet EVER? Where were all the celebs? Reese?Brangelina? Jake?)
