...about having a messy house.
I ripped this pic of from somebody I don't know, but I just had to post it because it is the most disgusting and shocking evidence of slovenly living I have ever seen. I don't know who's kitchen it is or even where this offense is located, all I know is that yes, somebody actually LIVES here. All I would like to know is how...HOW does one let their house get this dirty??

Global Warming: by Erik

I've become fascinated with the "science" of global warming. In this case "science" actually means "politics." These two images were created by a biophysicist professor at Oxford. The first shows a huge spike in carbon dioxide during the Cambrian period, about 450 million years ago. This seems to be closely associated with the explosive appearance of all life on Earth. Note the spike of CO2 going from 4000 ppm to 7000 ppm. Today, global warming activists warn about the "danger" that has happened from CO2 "spiking" from 200 ppm to 300 ppm. If a CO2 change of 3000 ppm did not destroy the Earth, how insignificant is a change of 100 ppm?

The second figure shows just how much humans contribute to the global warming gases. Water vapor is the most significant global warming gas. Don't you notice how hot days seem hotter with 100% humidity and during cloudy evenings, the temperature does not drop? Water vapor allows the earth to maintain a comfortable range of temperature due to its global warming effects. The rest is caused by other natural activities and gases (methane, CO2, nitric oxide, ozone, etc.). That leaves our contributions to 0.28%.

Let's assume that all of our contribution to global warming gas is CO2, which it isn't. And let's assume that we can immediately reduce our worldwide CO2 emissions by 50%, which we can't.
That would reduce our contribution to 0.14%. All of our effort would lower the current CO2 in the atmosphere from 300 ppm to 299.5 ppm.

In spite of all this, Gore and Obama want to spend BILLIONS of dollars to "fix" the problem, as if we didn't have economic problems already. They want to impose new restrictions and fees on every business that creates green house gases. Obama says that his efforts to curb global warming will cause YOUR energy rates to "necessarily skyrocket."

This is a problem that has gotten out of hand. Too many people have blindly accepted everything Gore and Obama have told them. I hope you can see through the politics and follow the science.

Our yard

When we came home from Christmas break we found a few surprises in our backyard. The first being that the lemon tree that we thought was a lime tree has once again changed its mind and has now settled on being an orange tree. So for now its an orange tree. Next month it may decide to be a grapefruit tree. Either way, we are obviously ignorant in regard to fruit trees. But we are fairly certain that it is a citrus tree.






















The other surprise we found when we got back is that our garden was pretty much dead. We asked our neighbor to take care of it...maybe she did but who knows. It is starting to come back though so thats good.

I don't feel the need to take a picture of my growing belly every week but here are a few pics just in case you don't believe that I'm pregnant. Baby is due March 20th. I'll probably look bigger than a house by then but oh well. Pregnancy has been pretty good so far so I think I'll be okay :)

Christmas Break

Erik and I spent Christmas Break at his parent's in St. George Utah. We drove...it took about 6 1/2 hours but it really wasn't a bad drive, especially for being in my last trimester. As you can see from the pictures, we really partied hard......yeah right.....we didn't really "do" anything besides visit. Thanks okay though. We lead boring lives but we like it that way :)

White Coat Ceremony

A White Coat Ceremony is sort of a "rite of passage" for students in the health care field. Its sort of like a graduation where the faculty/staff call out each students name but instead of getting a diploma they are fitted with a white lab coat. Then all the students stand up and say an Oath of Commitment.
The Ceremony took place at Midwestern University on Dec. 5th '08. His parents and little sister came down from St. George, UT for the ceremony.




Erik sang the "Star Spangled Banner" as bass and the opening of the ceremony. Erik has such a nice voice!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving break we went to my parents house in Gurnee, IL. We didn't do anything terribly exciting but it was nice to visit and relax. We did plan to go visit downtown Chicago but I wimped out. I'm content to stay indoors when its below 30 degrees. Living in Arizona really thins your blood!
