Ruby, the cutie...almost 3 years old!

 I was getting dinner ready the other night and when I turned around my little Rue looked like this.  I smiled and said something like, "What are you doing honey?" To this Ruby says, "Mommy WHAT?"  As if she had no clue what I was talking about.  I smiled and hugged her and she went back to her little play kitchen and continued playing away.  She is so darling and such a funny little girl.  She wants to do everything Gordon does...even if it means wearing his underwear.

The twins little personalities are starting to blossom and it is so fun to get to be a part of it.  At 8 months old, Dally is like a little puppy dog and wants to be right by your leg at all times.  If you walk out of the room he will grunt and make noise until you tell him where you are and what you are doing.  Lily on the other hand is as happy as can be if you are either holding her or right by her side as well.  Don't even think about not being within sight of her because she will have nothing to do with that.  When they stay on their schedule and around us these two are happy campers.

Mystery Solved!!

Bless this little yellow blanket of Ruby's.  This morning I was on a wild goose chase looking all over the place for her beloved blankey.  I needed to get the kids loaded up in order to bring Gordon to Kindergarten and we still hadn't found Ruby's blanket.  Lots of splashy tears were shed by her on the way to school, still no blanket.  After dropping both Gordon and Ruby off at school I ran a few errands and then the twins and I headed back home.  Around lunch time, I headed over to the bouncers and was about to put them in when suddenly I discovered the missing blankey, sigh!!!  What a relief!  It's amazing what we parents stress out about.  I uttered a silent prayer of gratitude and thought about how excited little Rue would be when she discovered her missing blanket had been discovered.

Happy Birthday Eric!!

Our day got started bright and early at Legoland for the Legoland Kids "Marathon" aka 1 mile run around the park.

My sweet buddy Tina hooked Eric up with a chicken sandwich, since they were all gone by the time we arrived.

 Somethings wrong with this picture... big kids in the stroller?  WHAT?!?

 The kids didn't know how to feel about this man on stilts.

 We weren't showing too much excitement right before the race but finally when they got warmed up and Gordon made a pit stop, there was no stopping him.

 In fact Gordon ended up running so fast I actually lost him in the park.  He flew right past Lily and I.  I was weaving in and out with Lily in the Bejorn and pushing the double stroller, it was quite a sight.  Gordon was super excited with his medal though and was waiting at the start line, relief!

My brother, his wife and their cute little boy Lincoln came over for a couple of hours and we had a lovely time together.

Happy 36th birthday to my best buddy, husband, and the father to our 4 children,  How grateful I am for him in my life.  He makes each day brighter and better than the one before.

We went for a short hike in the afternoon at a nearby lagoon and had a nice time.  

We ended the night by picking up some dinner and having ice cream to celebrate.  Happy birthday my love!

Twins 8 months old

These 2 little cutie pies discovered the swings at the park the other day and were in love. It's funny that all of our kids have been big fans of swings since both Eric and I get a bit dizzy.

Bless this precious, little Rue.  This little girl is such a doll and we love her more and more with each passing day.  As soon as Ruby realizes that I'm going to nurse the babies she says, "Mommy, I help you eat the babies?"  Oh I only wish my little Ruby girl, it would make my life a whole lot easier! Little Miss Lily girl didn't seem to like this idea as much as Ruby and I.

Here is a little bit about me right now!

Sleeping patterns: I still wake up during the night even though mommy is exhausted.  I cry until she comes to my rescue.  Sometimes daddy comes and holds me during the night when I'm wide awake and won't stop crying but I really just want to be held by mommy ONLY.  For the most part though I only wake up once or twice during the night.

Eating habits: Eating ever MORE now and I want to each every 1 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours during the day.  

New foods I like: Mommy's milk but I have been eating lots of different Gerber foods.  I like apples, pears, mixed veggies, blueberries, prunes, sweet potatoes, and I've even been trying the little squeeze pouches now too.

New discoveries I made:  I've started to arm crawl just a little, it's hard to keep up with my big brother Dallin.  I mostly like to just lay on my tummy or be held by mommy.  Everything goes in my mouth and I like to bounce in the bouncer a little bit.  I also like to read books and turn the pages in the books.

My accomplishments: I still like to smile when mommy is around and when she holds me.  I enjoy being in my bouncer and "talking" to Gordon and Ruby.  I get excited when they are around and I laugh a lot around Gordon.  I have a pretty cute giggle too.

Places I went: Church, shopping, going for walks (although it's been cold and rainy so we haven't gone on as many lately), the park, the beach in the stroller, Safari park, hikes, and occasionally out to a restaurant with my family.

Special friends: Lily, Gordon, and Ruby

Nicknames: Lily Marie, Little Sis, LILY (says Gordon)

Stats: 15 pounds 

I learned some baby babbles this month:  "Dada" "baba" "eheh"

Time for some morning exercises

These little munchkins found Dallin on the carpet rocking back and forth like he was ready to take off and start crawling.  So Gordon and Ruby got down next to him and started to mimic him, it was the cutest thing.  Lily just watched the three of them and made encouraging noises here and 

Christmas Eve Sunset Hike

We loaded up the crew and headed down to Torrey Pines and hiked around as we watched the sun set, it was beautiful.

 I held little Lily and Eric had Dallin.  Gordon and Ruby did an awesome job walking the trails.

 We got a family picture with mom and dad too.

 The views were incredible.

 Even some potty breaks were taken on the trails.
