I hung out in the NICU today and Brigham wanted me to thank all of you for the prayers.  He said he is feeling better now that he is getting antibiotics.  Tests came back that he has an infection.  He doesn't like all of the tubes going everywhere but he is being patient and knows they are helping him.  He said he almost had a panic attack today when the nurses couldn't get his pic line in.  Finally, after many attempts they were able to do it.  

He loves his nurses and the visits from his Mom and Dad.  He was glad that Nananell got to change Jonathan's diaper and that Jonathan weighs 4 lbs 3 oz.  They put Jonathan close to Brigham in the more critical part of the NICU so that the one nurse can take care of both of them.  Jonathan has graduated to sleeping in what they call the crib.  It is the bed before getting to go home.  Brigham will work hard to get to Jonathan's stage.  They are both starting to look like their Dad!

You should all visit Tiff in Washington! Sooo pretty and so many fun things to do! I loved it so much this year and wish we didn't have to leave :( I miss those kids and hanging out with tiff and jake. they are the best hosts, ex: took us to a movie AND got us taco bell, who could ask for more?!? I loved going on walks and watching movies an playing with the kids, I'm telling you best vaca ever!

NEW START!

So I start my first day at my new school tomorrow. I'm teaching a self contained momd special education class. The population is mostly down syndrome, and other moderate mental retardation. I'm so nervous.... Excited but nervous. I'm a Carson Cougar now. Teaching in the very classroom that made me want to be a special education teacher to begin with! I'll take all the prayers and well wishes I can get--- I know I have some (hitting/kicking/pushing) behaviors..... Wish me luck and may the Hancocks be with me! Twins

This is Nellie posting a quick post.  We are calling on your prayers.  The twins are going to be delivered on Friday.  They will almost be 34 weeks and the doctor is worried about the small one.  The dopler rose on him and there wasn't the growth that they would like so they will deliver them on Friday.  I am rushing out the door but will post more when I know.

You must try these!!!! This is how I get my chocolate fix in a healthy way! I use raw cacao powder (its the pure form). I add the maca powder for an energy booster and dried coconut to make it good!!!

Simple Coconut Oil Chocolate Candies

1/2 cup Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder (raw cocoa powder is preferred)
2 Tbsp Organic Raw Honey (or sweetener of choice: maple, yacon powder, stevia), adjust according to taste
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Melt the coconut oil and add the honey. Whisk and add the cocoa powder. Whisk occasionally while pouring into a silicone ice cube tray or silicone mini muffin tray. Makes 12. Cool for 30 minutes in the fridge or freezer. Note: Time varies depending on how hot the coconut oil was when you started. If the oil is only just reached its melting stage, these will set in as little as 15 minutes.

 Optional Ingredients 2 Tbsp of maca powder (mix in with the honey) 1 tsp orange rind (mix into the chocolate) seeds, nuts or dried fruit (sprinkle into the silicone trays) 1/4 cup dried coconut would be amazing… (mix into the chocolate)

You Know Your Mom is A Hancock Women When...

When its your Birthday and she asks you what you want and you reply... "well my camera is broken, so it would be nice to get a new one." She replies back "Cameras are too expensive".

but wait....

A couple of days later she goes to Costco and she does buy a camera. BUT. She buys it for herself. So for your Birthday you get her Hand-me-down camera...actually it was also once Jakes too.

Just thought it was funny.
It is a nice, good camera though.

Happy happy birthday tiffer wiffer! So proud of my amazing sister, she is truly amazing! She is beautiful, crafty, kind, hilarious, great listener, fun to be around, cute style and cutest (you guys should see it) house! I have always looked up to you so much, I learned how to do anything and everything from watching you, from putting on makeup to learning how to be a good future mother. She can cook, clean, sew, create better than anyone I know! Hope you have a fun day sista!! (also she lost 200 lbs, check out those before and after shots!!) haha jk tiff
