First Dentist Visit

Yesterday Seneca had her first Dentist Appointment. She did very well. Before they looked at her teeth, they showed her how the chair works and all the different instruments and what they do. They then laid her back in the chair and counted her teeth. She did well up until they were going to polish her teeth and then the tears started coming. I asked the Dentist if this is normal and she did comment that Seneca made it further than most kids do. She said her teeth spacing looked great and no cavities. She then got her picture taken for the "No Cavity Club" and received a nice little goodie bag with a new toothbrush, floss, sidewalk chalk, etc. The minute we got home, she had to brush her teeth and then did it again before she went to bed.

Nice Weekend

This past weekend was nice and relaxing. Friday night, I had a Southern Living Home party! Had a great turnout and I always enjoy hosting this party because of the fun and conversation with friends and other daycare moms. One of the guests stayed with her fiance (a friend of Pauls) and we played cards until midnight! Needless to say I was extremely tired the next day.
Saturday morning we went to the KGFX home show. Wasn't wonderful but it was something to do in Pierre. We picked out a camper that maybe in 3 years we will be able to afford but will just dream for now.
Sunday....well lets just say it was a sad day in our house since the Broncos lost. Luckily Paul expected it. He said that as long as Jake Plummer is the quarterback the Broncos will NEVER see a Superbowl. And he had said that weeks ago so them losing was no surprise.
Another busy week this week. Paul has classes all week and State One-Act Play is nearing so busy, busy at my work.

Dancing With The Stars

For those of you who are familiar with the TV show "Dancing With The Stars" we have our own little star in our household. Seneca LOVES to watch that show and of course dresses up and puts on quite a performance! We look forward to watching that show mostly so we can watch our little star!

Long Weekend

What a beautiful weekend it was. The weather was in the 50's and the sun was shining. Today we are back to the wintery weather. No snow yet, but the wind is blowing.
Friday we took Seneca in to the clinic. She has had a cough and very red under her eyes. Looks like someone socked her in both eyes. Found out that had a very severe sinus infection. The Dr. said that she wouldn't have been surprised if she woke up one morning to swollen eyes to the point of not being able to see out of them. She advised us that if her eyes get any worse, she will be hospitalized. Well, so far, so good. They are still red but have not gotten worse. We will just stick to taking her antibiotics and hope that she gets better.
We spent the beautiful weekend....in doors....painting! The kitchen is almost done! About another two hours worth of work and it will be done! Paul had a wonderful weekend watching his Bronco's win! Another game closer to the Superbowl. I don't think I have EVER seen such a sight as when he watches football! I will be glad when it is all over for the season. I can't imagine if the Broncos are IN the superbowl!
