New Calendar

My craftiness is finally making a come back. After not doing ANY scrapbooking or anything crafty for literally the last 2 years, I finally did something! I decided I needed to get a calendar because I can't keep up with Kade's schedule very good anymore, and with all the other appointments that comes with having a baby. So I found this unfinished wood calendar at Roberts and painted it black (all my appliances and sink in my kitchen is black) and then I distressed it, which i don't think you can really tell in the pictures. Then I got some old chip board I had left over from scrapbooking and some old flowers from scrapbooking and glued them on. I didn't realize that finding a calendar this time of the year would be so challanging! I finally found one, that really wasn't what I wanted, but it was 90% off at Desseret Book for $1.97! I'm still not done with it because there are little pegs at the bottom that I am going to hang things from but I'm not sure what I want there...so any suggestions you have would be great!

Paxten is 3 Months Old!

I can't believe my baby is already 3 months old! He is just growing so fast! He has really developed his personality recently. Here are some of the things he enjoys...

*He love love loves to go on walks in the stroller. So I try to go every morning with him on the days I have off. He is always just wide eyed and looking at everything around him the whole time.

*He likes this toy we have that he lays under and it lights up and plays music. He likes it even more when we sing along to the music.

*He really likes bath time. I think he would sit in a bath all day long if I let him.

*He has discovered his tongue this week and sticks it out a lot. He has been sucking on his hand too a lot, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time until he discovers his thumb!

*And this goes without saying, because I think every baby does, but...he loves to be held. He really likes it when daddy holds him on his chest. He will almost always fall asleep like that.

He seems to be developing really well. They told us that he might develope a little slower since he was a preemie, but he seems to be thriving just fine. We love you very much Paxten!

Lagoon Trip

We took a quick trip to Lagoon with Amanda and Tyler a couple weeks ago. My mom was nice enough to keep all of our kids overnight for us. So we went up on Saturday morning and did all the rides that day and then Sunday we went to Lagoon-A-Beach. It was so hot that weekend. It was like 105 degrees, but between the wet rides we stayed cool enough. Thanks for the fun weekend Amanda and Tyler!

Kade and I also celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this same week. I can't believe how fast it has gone and how blessed we have been! Love you Kade!

Hawaii 2009

We took a trip to Maui, Hawaii in March of 2009. I was 26 weeks pregnant at the time, but I did just fine with everything. Luckily we had gone the year before, so I didn't feel too bad when I couldn't do some of the excursions. This picture is kinda dark, but this is one of the many beaches

Our bike ride down the volcano. Your not supposed to do it if your pregnant, but I lied to them and went. The tour guides had us take this photo op, and I will tell you what, being 6 1/2 months pregnant getting up on that bike was not much fun! Our guide probably thought I was so out of shape! It was worth it though. We loved it!

Now that I know how to do this, I want to add some more pictures of things we have been doing recently, and of our new baby Paxten. He was born 5 weeks early and had to stay in the NICU for 2 1/2 weeks. But he is the light of our life now! So Happy

We are joining the Blog World!

I finally had enough people nagging me to get started on this, so here we go! I'm not really sure how to run it very good yet, but we will get the hang of it I'm sure! Something we have done recently was camping at Horseshoe Lake, so I will put a few pictures up of that. Paxten all snugled up asleep in the camper. He was pretty good the whole weekend considering he was only 11 weeks old at the time!

Me and Paxten our first night there. Kade couldn't come up until the next day, but we did just fine!
