Going Tropical

So I may be crazy, but yes, our blog is set to a tropical theme right now. In spite of Christmas just a few days ago, and the chilly weather outside, we can't help but to think we will be in a much warmer place in less than two weeks. We are headed on a cruise and CANNOT wait! I thought I better explain the palm trees on the blog before any of you second guess my sanity :) But we are getting in the mood and are sooooooo ready to say goodbye to the cold weather!

Christmas 2009

Kade's family always has a Christmas party on Christmas Eve. Paxten fell asleep right as we started opening presents, but by the time 24 grandkids opened theirs before him, I figured he at least got enough sleep to wake him up to open his presents. His cousin got him a little people airplane. Grandma and Grandpa got him a fun fisher price toy. This picture is of him opening the one from grandma and grandpa.

We wanted to start the pajama tradition with him, so here we are Christmas Eve letting him open his jammies. As you can see, he was way more interested in the paper than the gift.
This was so cute. Kade was putting the toy together that grandma and grandpa Leavitt gave him and he wanted to help! Too cute.


Since we love to camp, I just had to get him his own camp chair. I didn't think he would even be able to sit in it yet, but he LOVED it! I think he probably would have sat in it all morning if we let him.



We got him this set of trucks, and it was the one present that he actually stopped eating the paper and wanted the toy. I guess he is going to be just like his daddy with his trucks!

We had an awesome Christmas and all of us got spoiled. Kade got me some Klim boots, a new IPOD, hot curlers, and a new bed set. We got each other a new TV for our bedroom and a new video camera....soon I will learn how to post my vidoeos on here! I got Kade new pants, a new snorkel set for the cruise, a new snowmobile helmet and goggles and a few other little things...I think we got pretty spoiled!

7 Months Old

Another month has FLOWN by! Pax is already 7 months old. Here are a few recent pictures of him.

He LOVES the Christmas tree!

This is the warmest coat I had for him when it got so cold last week. I love it...I think it is so cute on him!

He is sneeky! I looked over the other day and he had grabbed a hold of a present and ripped it open. I couldn't believe it. Of course he was more interested in the wrapping paper itself then what was inside the gift. At least he picked one of his own to open though I guess!

I had to throw this one in. This is his daddy's hat and I always make so much fun of it. But when it's on Pax it's just too darn cute.

He has really started "talking" the last week. It's so funny. He also does this farty sound and then laughs every time he does it. It's hilarious! He has such a cute personality. He slept all the way through the night for almost a week, but last night he got up once. But at least we are making progress I guess. I love getting up in the morning with him because he is always so happy. He hardly ever cries in the morning...he just sits in his crib and laughs and plays. I'm so excited for Christmas with him this year. It's going to be so much fun.

FINALLY!

Paxten has been pretty grumpy for the last few weeks. I knew he had to be working on getting a tooth. His gums were swollen in the front and he was just down right grumpy! So last night I was playing with him and noticed he had a little tooth poking up! YAY!! His first tooth. I don't know why but it seems like such an accomplishment! He got it two days before he turned 7 months. I cannot believe how fast he growing up on me. I know he will be crawling before I know it and that is just crazy to me. I'm looking forward to Christmas this year with him. It's so different now that we have a baby...it's turned into everything all about him this year for Christmas. I know that I may be excited for his first tooth now, but when the rest start coming I'm sure I will pray for them to stop. :0) But for now, we celebrate the first tooth!

I snapped a couple pictures of Pax today in his cute Christmas outfit his auntie Amanda got him. We had two nephews get baptized today, so he was dressed up all cute. He is doing really good. He rolls all over the place now and can scoot himself backwards a little bit. He started almost sleeping through the night a couple nights last week, so hopefully this is a sign of what's to come.
