The kids had a great Christmas, they got everything they asked for and then some. Keana got her digital camera, Justin got his bo & arrow and Kambri got some new toys and clothes. They were so excited. We had a very good day. Now for the fun part, finding a home for all their toys and cleaning up Christmas decorations. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas as well.
Today I put Kambri on the floor and next thing I know she had rolled herself over to the tree and started eating the Christmas presents. It was so cute to watch her, she was so proud of herself.
I thought it would be fun to let the kids paint ornaments for Christmas to give to their grandparents. They had so much fun doing this. We did break a couple and made a huge mess but it was a lot of fun. I am glad we did it.
As you can see we've had a busy week. On Wednesday Keana had a choir concert at her school for Christmas. It was really good. She has been getting up extra early on Wednesday mornings to be able to attend the choir at school. I am really proud of her and how dedicated she is. She has been working really hard between choir and dance, she is a busy girl. Good job Keana.
Justin was finally brave enough to go and see Santa this year. He went with his preschool class, so I guess maybe he felt that he had to put up a front for his class mates, but none-the-less he did it. I was so proud of him. Last year it took him a good hour before he worked up the courage to go and sit on his lap. I think he finally realized that Santa isn't a bad person. The only thing that he asked for from Santa was a Bo and Arrow just like his daddy's. So I guess for Christmas this year Santa will have to bring him a "toy" Bo and Arrow so that he can practice with his daddy in the Spring time.
So Jason and I have been talking for a really long time about selling our house. We keep going back and forth on if we should. We both know what kind of house we want to buy, we just have never agreed on where we want to live. Well last week I picked up a flier on a house for sale by my mom and dads. So we started talking a lot about moving. On Monday, I was looking online at houses for sale and found a bunch in our price range. So yesterday we met with a couple of real estate agents and made the big decision to sell our house.
I am so excited to finally get into a house that I love to be in, but I am nervous to make the big change. We are not exactly sure where we are going yet. We have been looking in American Fork and PG. Plus we are looking in Herriman and Riverton. I know this is the worst time to try and sell, but at the same time it is the best time to buy, so it is a catch 22. So who knows, maybe we won't sell our house and then we know we need to stay here a while longer and try again later. We will just see what happens. So if you know if anyone looking to buy a house let me know.
Well I survived my first week of Jason being gone all day and night, while he goes to work then school. He leaves at 5:30 in the morning and comes home around 10:00 in the evening. It was really hard, but I just had to keep myself busy and the time flew by. Hopefully it will be like that everyday, but I really doubt it. It will still be a long 8 weeks. Especially when the kids start acting up and they will not listen to me. That is always fun. I am really proud of him though and how hard he is working to keep me home with the kids. He is a great husband and I love him very much. So I will just endure being a "single mom" for a little while longer so that we can better our future.

Well it is finally over, I hate Halloween but the kids love it. So I got them dressed up in their costumes, and took them out trick-or-treating. They had so much fun. We just went around our neighborhood, but they got enough candy to last them a long time. Justin was so brave this year, he even went up to the people that were dressed like monsters and talked to them. Keana, on the other hand was a little nervous of the monsters, it was funny to watch them. I am glad that we were able to take them out and that the weather cooperated, for the most part.
My sister-in-law did this and since I don't have much to blog about right now I thought it would be fun. This is my 4th picture in my 4th folder. This was when we took the kids fishing around March of this year. I thought this was so cute watching Jason with Justin teaching him how to fish.

Okay, so I thought I could get Kambri to laugh by lifting her up above my head. She was really enjoying it so I kept it going. Well, next thing you know I ended up with a huge mouthful of throw up. It was the most disgusting thing. It made me so sick to my stomach, I am still nauseated from it. Jason just laughed at me and told me that's what I get for putting her above my head. I just wanted to play with her and that was the thanks I get. See if I ever do that again. lol

I had to do this, even though we already have kids together. It looked like fun just to see. Curiosity got the best of me. It didn't turn out too bad, although I think our kids are a lot cuter than that.
My brother Cody and his wife Emma finally had their baby yesterday. No name as of yet. She was 5lbs 8oz. She is the littlest baby. When you hold her it feels like you are holding just a bundle of blankets. She has no weight to her. She is so beautiful though. I am so happy for them, they are going to be such cute parents. Congratulations guys.

Yesterday we blessed Kambri. It was such a nice blessing, Jason did such a good job I was so proud of him. We had a lot of people come to the blessing. Afterwards, we had people come over to our house and have a little lunch. It was a good turn out. I really enjoyed having everyone come over. I didn't get to talk to too many people because I was so busy, but I want to thank everyone who came we really appreciated having you here to support us. I tried really hard to get a good picture of Kambri in her dress, but she was so slippery in it that every time I would set her up she would start to slide back down. This was the best shot I could get. Guess I will be taking her somewhere and having them done professionally.
Last week at Keana's school they had a day where it was crazy hair day. Well as you can see we went crazy, she had so much hairspray in her hair. She said that she was the only one in her class that had super crazy hair like hers. Well, that night she took a shower and forgot to wash her hair, well the next day was school pictures. Lets just say we will be doing retakes. I could not get her hair to do anything because of all the hairspray we'd put in it. Her hair ended up in a ponytail. It will be interesting to see how they turn out.
We were able to finally get away for a family vacation. We have been so busy this summer, between having a baby and working on the house that we didn't take the kids to do anything. We felt really bad so we decided to take off for a few days and go to Yellowstone. We left on Thursday and stayed the night with Jason's aunt and uncle in Idaho Falls. Then from there we took off to Yellowstone. After we got to West Yellowstone and checked into our hotel we headed to the park. A few miles into the park we saw a buffalo crossing the river, it was so neat to watch. We then saw a coyote in the fields playing with bugs, it was a young coyote and it was so cute to watch him jump into the air trying to catch bugs. We stopped off at a few hot pots and then headed to Old Faithful. We got there just in time to watch. The kids thought it was so neat to see water spraying out from the ground. We walked all around and was able to witness a couple of other hot pots go off. It was so neat. The next morning we decided to go the other direction and head towards Mammoth Springs. We did a lot of driving that day, but we did see a lot of elk in the town of Mammoth hanging out in the yards. Jason was in awe. He loved it. The kids got a little bored with all the driving we did. So we stopped by Norris and saw some more hot pots. Justin still couldn't believe how neat it was to see these holes in the ground with water spraying out of it. On the way back to town we saw some more elk, it is amazing how they will just walk right next to your car and not even care that you are there. We got a lot of good pictures of the elk so close to us. The next day we headed back for home, but on the way home we stopped at a spring and showed the kids how clear the water was. You could see right to the bottom of the river. You could see all the fish swimming around, it was so beautiful. We also stopped by a fish hatchery on the was home. The kids were able to feed the fish and learn a little about what a hatchery is. We stopped by Idaho Falls and visited with Jason's grandparents for a little bit and then headed home. I think the kids had a really good time. They were so good all weekend and we all got a long so well. No fighting between the kids, it was a great change. Of coarse they must of saved it all up because today has been crazy with them. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Yesterday was Justin's first day of preschool. He was a little nervous at first but then when he saw all the cool toys she had for him to play with, he just looked at me and said "k, bye mom". When I came to pick him up he said that he had so much fun at school. I was so proud of him. I did enjoy having a couple of hours to get some stuff done while he was there. I was able to shower and not worry about what he was destroying. It was so nice. He goes again tomorrow so hopefully it will be another success.
Jason and his good friend Casey went hunting this last weekend. I guess on Saturday morning they had a bear approach them and threaten to attack them so they had to yell at it and wave there arms around to make them look bigger than he was. While they were trying to scare the bear away they both realized that they forgot to back there hand guns with them when they left that morning. They said it was a black bear and he looked like he weighed about 300lbs or so. He was about 80 yards away from them before he turned around and went the other direction. They think that he was so mad because they were invading his home area. They were both very freaked out. Jason didn't tell me this until he got home on Monday. I am glad that he waited to tell me because I am already paranoid when he goes hunting. On a lighter note though, the next morning they were hunting together and came across this giant deer. He measures around 34 inches across, at least I think that is what they are talking about regarding the size. No, it wasn't Jason that shot it, it was his friend Casey. But Jason was the one that got the deer's attention so that Casey could shoot it so Jason is just as proud of himself as Casey is. It is all he has been talking about since he came home on Monday. Forget the fact that you almost were malled to death by a bear, we shot a big buck. They are both so funny when they talk about it, every time they are on the phone together that is the only conversation they have. It makes me laugh, just like a couple of kids. Hopefully, next weekend when Jason goes he will be the one coming home with a deer or elk. Nice job boys.
Here are some of the many pictures that my sis-in-law, Hollie took. She is so good. I always have a hard time deciding which ones I want to use because they always look so good. We took these yesterday so she was only 3 days old. I love the ones that she took with her eyes open. She is changing so fast already. I love watching how much they change over the next year. She is such a good baby so far. I hope she continues to be that way.
