So my dilemma is that I take pictures 7 days a week! End up with a few ... or 8 or 10 sometimes... that I like every day (as opposed to the countless ones that I delete) then I think I want to blog them, but I blog only once a week...do you really want to look at 70 pictures...well I'll try to keep it fewer than that (no promises) and hey, read and look if you want--enjoy--but I blog for me :) so I will have the memories, so there's my little disclaimer!
Here it goes:
Colt loves baby food
Colt loves Cheerios
Colt loves hot dogs
Colt loves peas
Colt loves grapes
Colt especially loves pretzels and other things Cannon sneaks him, mostly...
Colt loves FOOD!!!!!!
It's really weird/fun/nice to have a kid that loves to eat after Cann man is so hard (still) to get him to eat anything.  But he loves the color purple and I remember when we were newlyweds back in the Ivin's ward and we called one little boys "Sticker Boy" ...we are now at that phase of life. Cann is easily bribed with stickers (I'm so sick of picking those things up...and getting in trouble for throwing them away) the tablet probably remains bribe #1.
Mid tantrum our Landlord said to me "Sometimes the terrible twos last into the threes." True!
I need to mention how much we love our sweet little landlord. She was really thinking a couple would rent this place-not a couple AND their two kids but she could remember trying to find a place to rent in Boston years ago when they were graduate students (medical) had little kids and wanted to help us out and we are SOOO grateful. She is so nice, we are borrowing a little kid table and chair from her, and the next thing I knew Isaac was hauling down a high chair that she'd had in storage, she's wonderful! And I try to keep the mess and the noise from the boys down the best I can. She was out pulling weeds Monday and Cannon was obsessed with getting to "help" her, it was cute! We've got to "help" a few other times too. Highlight of day. We call her "Miss Carol" I guess the the "Miss" is our little southern touch--so normal in Mississippi, no so much here but I think its respectful so we go with it.
She works tirelessly in her yard-that's why it looks so good!

We busted it out of town pretty quick last Sat and I never did get a picture with my boys and Aunt Laur or Shad. Oh well. It was so fun to see them. And we did get some playing in up to Poppa Greats
On the way back up we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Kenworthy's it was really fun. We want to go back and do the "interview my grandparent thing" but its all we can do to corral the boys...maybe we'll recruit Madi to help us tend. Anyway it was good to see them and fun to visit.

The doggie door did keep them entertained for a while!
Sunday was nice (its super weird to not have responsibilities but I'm not going to lie it's super nice to have man to man defense during sacrament meeting!) We had a little Sunday picnic, we like to eat out on the lawn because it is so nice. Colt was trying to use his spoon to pic up food! I thought it was a fluke but he kept at it throughout the week. We tell Cannon he's trying to be a big boy like him (don't mind the fact Cannon ate a meal in Colt's high chair-)
(Should've cropped that one but once its on there I'm not going back)
Monday was back to the Zoo...twice! It was grama's birthday and the sent us to ride the train for fun. Strangely though, Cannon didn't want to (he really wanted to ride trax-the light rail- that goes by daddy's work, they managed to fit it in later in the week ) We sure had fun riding the carousel though!

Wednesday the Ford's were driving through on there way back from going to see Grandma and Grandpa Ison in Ohio. We got to meet up with them at the Natural History Museum. It was super fun. I loved getting to visit with Sabrina and we sure love that cousin time!!
Her kids were darling with both of my boys-that was the first time they had met Colton. Eric was so cute and man the stroller! The older kids were very helpful, that's a promising thought!

We had so much fun we took our dad back later that day (worked out perfect that she had a pass to get us in free and our tickets were good all day and on Wednesday's they are open until 9:00) Cannon was little Mr. Independent pushing the stroller when we went back "Don't worry, don't worry about it mom, its easy for me!" He would say as he struggled every time he tried to turn but we had a good time. When we got back we took a blurry family pic with the "worker hats" the kids brought us from the COSI museum in Ohio! (Sabrina's kids donated their hats so we have lots.)

And that night Isaac busted out the tent (another vivint prize Aaron and Tarra graciously stored for us) and he and Cannon got to have a little sleep out. He is such a fun dad!
Thursday we got to meet up with Sister Johnson! I love her! And we got to meet her darling mom who I feel like I've known for almost 2 years because we were totally email buddies while Sister Johnson (I guess we can call her Cheri now) served in our ward. We had a wonderful time! Her and others, we've made some life long friends while in Mississippi! It was so fun to catch up! It makes the world seem small. (AND She has and uncle that's in the same ward as my aunt in St. George--how bout it?)
This week I had a little DI shopping trip, ok 2, there is a pot and a pan here at the apt and we'd made it work but I just wanted another one to make it a little easier, so we hit the DI. It was kinda fun. But it's like anything I buy I feel like I need to be able to donate right back at the and of the summer, there was just tons of stuff there! Cannon wanted a prize, we settled on a book and Colt got one too. But the second time we went... this all but jumped in our cart itself.
I don't know how we'll get it back to Mississippi. I really don't want to be that mom that buys her kids tons of junk they don't need...but if you'd've seen how happy it made him you would have given in too. I think I just need to stay away from that store though--or I AM going to be the mom that buys her kids a bunch of junk they don't need.
Anyway we have another hike planned for this evening--I feel like we're jam'n the days full of fun, so that's good!
Until next week...

Making Muffins with Uncle Isaac...and Shredder-the leopard cat.

What a crazy week! We did go to the zoo, it was fun, and we bought a pass since our new little place is like a block away-we thought it would be very useful this summer. The boys (including or rather-especially Isaac) think its really cool that you can hear the cats (I'm not sure what but Isaac's guess was lions) anyway you can hear them growling from the back yard. Speaking of the back yard I have pics. It's awesome! We love it.

I had never been in IKEA, so while grama was in town we hit it up (fun--could spend a lot of money fast) the boys both scored a new toy for the new apt. Pics are blurry but the toys are fun.
There our some things I really like about our place, like the built in cupboards in the hallway and tons of counter space in the bathroom (probably more than all the other places we've lived combined--actually, easily more) I like that the tile is white too! It just looks clean.
It was interesting to be back in a "Utah Ward" last week (that wasn't my parents, I'm used to it) it is totally a "Nearly dead/Newly Wed" kind of ward they have a smaller primary than we do in Mississippi. But it was good. We meet in an older building but it has tons of awesome artwork! And church is at 11, good for getting ready, not good that the last hour is sacrament meeting and Cannon just wants to go home the whole time.
We took the boys to temple square Sunday night. That was cool.
Couldn't quite get the whole temple in with Colt-darn-and I left his bink in, whoops.

Isaac showing Cannon how the snap dragons work :) Then our own version of a double stroller.
Loved this!
Actually loved pretty much everything the exhibits at the visitors centers are so well done! We had a good time.
Monday and Tuesday it was down right cold! I had sweatshirts for the boys-thankfully. It rained a lot and snowed in the mountains--IT'S JUNE! But I remembered it snowing one time in the summer when I was going to school in Provo too, its just been a while, I guess I was used to the south (Be it Mississippi or SOUTHern Utah). Anyway. Wednesday we came back south. The boys traveled well. Ann is gone but Cannon and Elsie played hard (made messes) and Thursday we hit the splash pad again and Aunt Laur and Shad got to town--I've got to make sure and get some pictures.
That's about it...Except, the really awful feeling this last week when I turned around to flush the toilet and my phone was in the toilet! If you're gagging- A: I apologize B: join the crowd. I had to get it out. So gross. And it wasn't at home, I may never shop at that Smith's again. Or never wear the pants it flipped out of again? I don't know but something's got to give. Then I was without a phone for a day or so, so I really thought my throat had been cut.
Life.
Sigh.
Just roll with it right? I think that's the best option.

Yikes, what a week! I don't really remember last weekend off the top of my head, but that's why I take pictures. We watched Trey play baseball-and rode the horse-and hung out with Becky and Court, it was super fun.

Monday we drove up to SLC and parked ourselves at Levi and Stacy's. Stacy was only here Monday but I did have such a fun visit with here before she left town. And really we are imposing, but both she and Levi have made us feel SO welcome and we truly are grateful. They are so nice but I'm not going to lie, its a little high stress, they have nice stuff and I have two little terrors. I am really confused at how they have 4 kids but their house is always immaculate, I need to figure out their tricks! But its been fun, and we've done our best to not destroy it. (Although Cannon thought the decorative rocks were perfect for excavating and the flower beds had nice dirt too...yikes) We've loved the cousin time!

Now, before I get to Tuesday I better back track to the day Isaac first met with Dr. Barney and it went so well. When he called me he said "So what do you think, we can get by in a 1 bedroom apt can't we?" I said yeah and admit I thought we were going to head up right away, I was a little bummed and I saw my trip to St. George for the summer slipping away but it was going to be okay because we'd be really close comparatively. But then as we were chatting Isaac said "You're going to want to spend a lot of time down there, what if I just find a room for me up here?" I said "Ya, that sounds great!" So that's what we did, but it weighed on me. Pretty much EVERY night I would look at housing online, sublets and such. It was so stressful. I mean so fun for Cannon to get to play with his cousins all day and Grampa all evening, but also super heartbreaking when he'd ask "When is daddy coming home?" (happened multiple times a day) and when he was super out of control and I finally got him to talk to me after saying "What is your problem, why are you acting like this?" And he just looked up at me with those blue eyes and said "I'm just so upset daddy is gone." Heart broken. Could this decision to live apart be what was best for our family? Probably not. So when things blew up last week it was a good catalyst for me. Anyway so there's the background and Tuesday we apt hunted. Its a lot more work for me to be up here, but I guess that's what motherhood is all about right? Work and Sacrifice. Its still hard though, Cannon asks "When are we going home?" and I answer with a few questions of my own.
Home to Mississippi?
Home to Grama's house?
Home to our new apt summer home?
I'm confused too and I'm not 3!
The place we are going to move into tomorrow is up by the university, when we first checked it out I thought NO WAY, funny how things change right? -when we couldn't find anything else, let alone anything better- Plus the little old lady landlord's biggest thing was it had to be someone that would live LDS standards--and that's just the kinda place we want to be.  Its just a little one bedroom mother-in-law place, but it will work. Things we won't have include a washing machine, or a kitchen table, (microwave was on the list but we borrowed one from Devin and Jill) but things we will have: EACH OTHER! And a really great back yard. We'll still go down to SG a lot. (Isaac gets a lot more done when we're not here but oh well, he was putting in WAY long days before, we're making up
for a few of those.) And I still want to take advantage of being in the west and so close to Grama and Grampa's.
Wednesday we hiked the "Living Room" hike behind the University of Utah campus with the secretary from Isaac's work/school/project whatever. She's super nice we had a great (exhausting) time. Pretty much both of us carried a kid pretty much the whole way--I should have put better shoes on Cann but part of it was just him too. Oh and hey--newsflash--I'm super out of shape. But again it was fun (not the I'm out of shape part)

At the end it was a pretty view of the Salt Lake valley...but it was right into the sun that was setting by time we got there, so if Kathy got better pictures than I did I'll have to update this later.
Thursday we went with Levi and his kids and a friend of their family's to a dog park. Cannon was In HEAVEN. We had fun.

And that evening we went down and had a little BBQ with Devin and Jill. So fun and just good from my soul to get to reconnect with good friends and visit. I was the one in heaven! Jill is just one of those friends, it doesn't matter how long its been or how much has changed, things are still the same. I loved visiting with her! Ryker was awesome about sharing his toys and took Cann and Colt for a ride in his RZR, then he even let Cann drive. You can tell which one cared about keeping it on the road...

And today we have plans to hit the zoo
Life is Crazy, but good!
