Totally redeemed myself tonight. Made guiltless chicken Alfredo. It was delish! I may have even licked the bowl! The purple bowl does not make it look appetizing though.

Busy day

Saturday's Done List:
Went to garage sales
Got new tires on the car
Bought new latch for trailer door
Popped up trailer
Fixed the door
Put up deck umbrella
Swept outside basement stairs
Got old furniture out of basement (thanks Megan)
ShopVac'ed the unfinished part of the basement
Cut old planter box wood into firewood
Vacuumed the finished part of the basement
Washed all of the bedding
Did 3 loads of laundry
Sprayed car mats and vacuumed car
Hooked up sprinkler system (all systems go!)
Cleaned the kitchen
Dumped all the garbages
Ate a black raspberry yogurt shake (yum)

Dinner=Disaster

Tried making taquitos for the first time tonight. Didn't go so well. I think I bought the wrong tortillas :( I got very frustrated and actually stomped my foot like a child.

Spring for a day

None of our roses made it through the winter and we had to replace all of them. It gave us a chance though to buy some new interesting colors. This one is called Black Bacarra, so far, it's very pretty!

Awesome day

Today at work I made paychecks and timed my friend's contractions. By 3:30 I took my good friend Rachelle to the hospital to have a baby. Her husband came about 20 minutes later and I went back to work to print checks. Then Angie, Brittney, and I waited in the waiting room until a little after 7 (of course Angie and I were off in search of diet coke when word came that she'd had it). My amazing friend Rachelle had a 7lb 10oz baby girl completely naturally. She is beautiful! Congrats to them!

New gardens

We are replacing our raised gardens. The new ones are going to be awesome!

Good graffiti

On the way to the concert hall we went under the highway by way of the tunnel. I think that this tunnel's proximity to the Fine Arts building helps increase the quality of the graffiti.

The Scotsmen

Tonight we went to a concert of the USU Scotsmen. This is the first year USU has had a pipe band and they are already really good! Can't wait to hear more from them. I wish I had gotten a better shot of the girl twirling her drumsticks. We couldn't figure out how she did it without smacking herself in the head.

Date night

We went wild and crazy for this week's date night. Went to Grist Mill for dinner and then went and bought popcorn from the movie theater. Came home and finally watched the last Harry Potter on DVD. Excitement abounds!!!

Easter egg hunt

Today was the annual Easter egg hunt at my work. I didn't grab my phone before the kids hunt so I can't show off the massive amount of loot they had. This picture was before the employee hunt. I got some cash but more importantly, cadbury eggs :)

Tonight I went on a date.....

With my husband of course. He took me to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then to open mic night at the Logan Art House. A guy from his work is doing stand up. I can't say if he was good or not cuz I'm typing this as we are waiting for him to go on. I can say this though, the first guy was definitely not funny.

Update:  Kent's friend from work = let's put it this way, in the car on the way home I said to Kent "Is he good at his job at work? Because he definitely should not quit his day job".

Went out looking for flood waters. It wasn't near as exciting today as yesterday. Most of the water has calmed down. So you just get a pretty picture. It was either this or a picture of Kent eating dinner.

New Idea

So since I have been so bad at posting to my blog so I've decided to try something new.  I can post from my phone so I'm going to try just sending photos each day (yeah right, that's going to happen).  Hopefully I will post more.

Maybe I should make a New Years resolution to pay better attention to my blog.

Christmas came and went quickly again this year.  And again, I didn't get any pictures.  You would think a person with a photo blog would be better at taking pictures.  I think it's actually made me worse at taking just candid photos.  Santa was very generous to both Kent and myself.  We must not have been on the naughty list.

This year Kent's parents were in Washington for Christmas so we didn't have the annual Willie Christmas party on Christmas Eve.  Instead, my sister invited us to her house for her traditional fancy dinner.  It was really nice and fantastic food.

Christmas day my whole family (except for my brother's family) came to our house.  This year we decided not to do a gift exchange and opted instead for a cookie baking contest.  Everyone brought a different cookie and everyone voted on the best.  I am proud to say I was the first winner of the Reynolds Christmas Cookie bake-off!  Thanks to my friend April for giving me a tip on this recipe (only I used butter instead of shortening, soooooo much better).  They were all great cookies but we had already eatten so much food we barely had room for cookies.  Next year we might have to do the judging before dinner.

The day after Christmas Kent and I barely moved from the couch.  Hosting a party can be exhausting!

New Year's Eve was pretty boring, just the two of use playing games and ringing in the New Year with Carson Daly.  It was really nice to have a few more days to just relax.

And now it's on to January.... I hate this month.  But I am doing my best to have a good outlook.  Kent gave me Zumba for Christmas so I am trying to create a new workout routine.  I'm gonna win the battle of the bulge this year, I can feel it!
