Holly lost her first tooth

Look, Holly lost her tooth. There were some tears, I think

the blood freaked her out, but then she was all smiles :-)

Happy Anniversary!!

On February 6th, Mike and I celebrated our
22nd anniversary, and I still can't believe that
I was lucky enough to have married such a wonderful
guy! Mike has been my rock, a shoulder to cry on,
and my best friend! Thanks for always being there, honey :-)

I have added my parents' wedding picture below to show you
that I wore my mom's wedding dress. It's funny how she
is 7 inches shorter than me, but I fit in her dress perfectly.
(Well, they had to take the bust in)
We were both married in the Mesa Temple.

And maybe some day one of my daughters will want
to wear my dress and will be married in the Mesa Temple.

Also pictured below are my grandparents. My grandpa,
who is on the far-left side, was able to seal Mike and I.
Yeah for grandpas!!

What a bunch of good-looking people!
My mom had dad have been married 46 years,
and my grandma and grandpa have been married 69 years!
They will celebrate their 70th in November.

Black Eye

Soo, you're wondering which kid has their
mom's coordination? It's Emily. She somehow
managed to open the door and bang her eye!
That's my girl!!!

Okay, so I've been corrected...
I've just been told that this black eye was caused
by a wooden puzzle piece thrown by a cousin.
So I'm old and can't remember which black eye
was which. (Shees)
Poor Emily. I hope that's the last of the black eyes

Doesn't she still look beautiful?

Popcorn Balls

Melanie decided to make popcorn balls for her piano recital
at Christmastime. She had one problem... she needed to pop some
corn, not the microwave kind!! Luckily, Debbie Farr had an
old air popper she received from her wedding 21 years ago, and
it's even still in the box! Don't they look excited?

Look, mom, it's popping popcorn, and it's not even in the
microwave! Oh, it's like magic!

Now, don't those look delicious? Melanie, get your tounge

back in your mouth!!

Granny and Me

What a wonderful example my grandma has been in
my life. She is 92, and still finds the joy in living!

Pumpkin carving

Mike, Holly, Melanie, and Emily carved pumpkins on
Halloween night. I was kicked out of the pumpkin carving
party on account that I, well, stink at carving pumpkins.
I must have missed the carving pumpkin talent line in heaven.
If you think this makes me sad, it does not. I made faboulous
pumpkin seeds this year :-) And I love to watch the kids get all the
pumpkin "guts" out of the pumpkin.

Mike loves to carve pumpkins. I think he is ready to pass
down his skills to his daughters and son.

Emily had a ball making her own pumpkin. She just "had"
to sit on the table to get closer to her pumpkin

In the gutter

Thursday was a 1/2 day of school. The neighbor down the street
was draining his pool in the gutter. Cousins and friends
came over to play. The weather was perfect. Sounds like a
recipe for fun!!

Ryker, Jenna, Jalyn, Holly, Darlene, Kara, and Emily. It's

great to be kid!!

Truth be told, Melanie and Alexa started it all

with a "boat" race. Melanie's boat was an empty toilet paper

roll, and Alexa's was a pop bottle. Alexa's won.

Poor Ryker got water in his eyes :-(

I love to see the kids have smiles on their faces!!!!

I couldn't let the kids have all the fun, so I joined in! We

had a blast!!!
