Thanksgiving was a blast! The Schedule was as follows:
10:00- brunch at Autumn and Jim's (YUM)
11:30- To the Farm (Tyson's parents place) for a little pre Thanksgiving dinner visit
4:00- Dinner at the Asper's ( Melissa's parents place)
6:00- disgust with how much we ate, and even more disgust knowing we will eat more!
7:00 - Eating pie/ dealing with a very grumpy toddler!
8:00 - Putting the grumpy toddler in bed!
AHHHH- finally hitting the sack for the early rise and shine (After Thanksgiving sales!)
We had a lot of fun, and can you believe it, I lost weight after all that eating. For the last year I have been trying to lose a few pounds, I guess I was doing it all wrong! I have to eat more to lose more, I can handle that!
My sister's and mom woke up at 4:00 to hit the sales, weirdo's. I, however, did not plan to wake up until 7:00 for the sales I wanted! I was, however, rudely awaken by the phone at 5:30. My sister begging me to stand in line a WalMart for her. I did it though, very surprised when I got a front row parking spot and found everything she needed and walked right up to a cash register! Not too shabby! Then I made it to Target, again for my sister ( I guess she had too many store to get to and I, apparently, did not have enough!) Then it was to my stores, which will remain a secret in the remote chance Tyson will read this blog! We hit a few more stores then met to have breakfast. All in all a great morning!
The sad thing is, we didn't stop shopping then, we still went out that evening and the next day. Pretty pathetic I know!
It was great to see all my family, all six of us siblings made it home this year! My dad will be having a heart valve transplant shortly so we all were here for support and to help get the house ready for winter as he will be "out of service" for six weeks. He won't be able to even open a car door. We are optimistic that everything will be fine, but a few prayers couldn't hurt!(hint hint)
We are still alive, it has been awhile since we have updated this blog! Melissa has had her nose stuck in a series of books for the last week or so, and things have not been getting done. We have been awaiting the arrival of snow so we could take some cute pictures, but (and I am really not that sad) no snow has fallen this year YET! Anyways, we are all healthy and excited to over stuff ourselves and the big Thanksgiving celebrations we have planned! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
The Worst (in my eyes) has happened! First Aaron found the phone, we thought it was so cute watching him talk on the phone. Tyson dug out some old cell phones that are now his toys! Well this morning Aaron found the TOILET!!! I was in the room Ty was in the office and neither one of us heard the splashing noises. We are usually really careful about closing the doors but not last night apparently! Aaron was soaked from head to PJ foot! I know gross. But he wasn't just using his hands he used his cell phone and then started talking into it! sick... I can't help but shiver when I think of it! So promptly we stuck him in the sink, it was the closest thing! And washed, and washed, and washed him.So Heather how does that compare to your phone and microwave story!
