CHRISTMAS

We had such an awesome Christmas this year. There was snow, (about 3.5 feet of it) presents and food!!! We all got totally spoiled but loved every bit of it. The only downfall this year was that Aaron was really sick. He was barfy and all that comes with it! Poor little guy, he didn't enjoy it as much as he could of. We had a blast in spite of the sickies! I will post pictures soon.

It is still snowing here in the northwest, and I am sick of it! It was predicted that we would only get 52 inches of snow all winter, we have surpassed that amount in the first 2 weeks! wish us luck.

Can you guess what we've been doing?

So, we are still sickies over here, we can't kick what ever is plaguing our family. Leah has been back to the Dr. three times this week, we had to conduct the not so appealing stool collection, (NOT COOL). Things look okay but she has to be on more antibiotics to help with her three week ear infection. Tyson goes in tomorrow for a painful mouth, his throat and tongue hurt so bad he talks funny. (I know it is sad to make fun of him in his time of pain, but it's true and he knows it.) Aaron caught yet another cold from the nursery, I am boycotting that place! I however, in previous years known as the local sicky, have not been sick with something you can cure! I am a big advocate for Emergen-C vitamins. They have kept me feeling well through all of this!!

Everything else on the home front are fine. Getting ready for Christmas. Aaron thinks Santa Claus is Jesus!!!

So, This evening as I was looking at some blogs I got real excited to find some old friends that I haven't been in contact with for some time. I quickly checked out their blog, added their address to my friends list then took a look at their friends list to see if I recognized any. ( I know, that was a long sentence...) To my surprise and dismay, I was on their friends list!!! WHAT! They had found me but did not leave me a note or anything to check their site out! My balloon was popped. I felt sad, and shocked...so the moral, if you are checking this site out and I know you and we are on your friends list, let me know!!! Thanks... I read these things all the time, I think I am a blog stalker!!!

two more Dr. appointments and Dodgeball tournament

So, Aaron went back to the doctor's office, and officially he is allergic to zythromax. That make him allergic to 2 antibiotics, we'll see how this pans out! And on Saturday (it always happens on the weekend) Tyson had to go the Dr with what we thought was pink eye. It was pink eye but the viral type, and it spread to his lungs, throat and sinuses. He is feeling awful, if you can imagine. Leah and I are holding on to dear life as we have not got sick yet.

Friday night was a big night for us. Yes, we participated in the Wild Turkey Dodgeball tournament here in Post Falls. It was SUPER fun. We had a team of 8 family members (between the Asper and Frantz families, our name was Frantzper) WE didn't do to bad! We thought we would lose terribly because we are all out of shape, but got 5th place, out of 8 teams. We are all pretty sore today, but agree it was one of the funnest things we've done! Thanks to the team, it was fun!

You've got to be kidding me!

So, I think I counted correctly, we have been to the doctor over ten times in the last 45 days, and another visit today or early tomorrow. We have fought off ear infections with the kids and now they both have them again, both looking like they will need tubes. Aaron is also fighting pink eye. SICK!!! I think they need to give me a permanent parking space and a punch card to get one visit free! Anyways, we are trying to stay in good spirits but when both kids are screaming, and you have to keep the older from sumo wrestling his sister it gets pretty hard.

Any ideas on how to get the Doctor to call back faster? I've been waiting 2 hours for our to call back, Aaron is reacting to his medicine, and nothing yet! HELP.

So, this is Aaron (a post from a while ago) and his cousin Kylie. I think they inherited the same genes, don't you?

What? an update, unbelievable!!

I know,I know, I stink at updating. SO, lots has happened in the last, what, 6 weeks. Leah is huge now, almost 14 pounds with clothes on. We had a super fun Halloween and Leah was blessed. We have also been having loads of fun playing in Grandma's leaves and cooking in the kitchen. Both kids have been to the doctor recently and both have ear infections and Aaron has a sinus infection too. The most exciting news in the last few weeks is that Leah has started sleeping through the night, yup 11 hours a night! It is wonderful. She is such a good baby, such a different experience for us as Aaron was a difficult infant. We sure love having her around.

Halloween was sure fun, we carved pumpkins, went trunk or treating and the did really trick or treating. When we were going around the neighborhood Aaron was super funny. His costume was padded in the rear end. So when he was running his little heart out from door to door his bum would shake. He was a little slower than the rest of the kids so he would turn to us and say, come on guys, run dad run. He loved it. Leah, pour soul, got ripped of on the picture department and didn't get one from Halloween. She was a pumpkin in case you wanted to know.This is Leah on her blessing day. The dress, hat and booties were all crocheted by my awesome mom. The dress is so pretty, and Leah was pretty in it. On Sunday evening we had all the family over for yummy goodies, yeah it was chaotic as Tyson's family and my family were all here and all the kids too. It was fun though.

Anyways that is the latest and greatest with us. Thanks for reading, even though it takes us six weeks to update!!

Happy 2nd Birthday to Aaron

Yesterday was Aaron's 2nd Birthday! I can't believe how fast time flies! We had a fun breakfast of strawberry cheesecake pancakes, Breakfast hash and creme brulee french toast! YUM! Then we opened presents, which Aaron got into with his full enthusiasm. Both sets of grandparents were able to come over it was super fun. Then we took a small break top watch conference and then did cake. When we put the cupcakes in front of Aaron he started singing happy birthday to himself. He is so funny. He got the candles blown out and indulged on the cake!! He has been a joy for most of the last 2 years! we love him so much...

Welcome Leah Rose Frantz

Well, after 7 hours of labor and a pretty easy delivery little Leah Rose Frantz entered this world at 4:47pm on Sept. 15 2008. She weighed 8 lbs and 12 oz (7 oz less than her older brother) and was 22 inches long. She is the sweetest little thing, came out with her LONG tongue wiggling. Things went so well that we were cleared to go home the next morning and were home by that afternoon.

Things have been going well. My mom has been helping us out and that has been so nice. I will post more pictures soon... they are still on the camera and Ty needs to help with that!

Tomorrow is the day!!! (hopefully)

Well tomorrow at 4:30 am we call the hospital to see if they have room to start this labor!!! We are excited to welcome our little girl to the world and can't wait for tomorrow. On Friday we thought we were going to have her, but after 14 hours of contractions (1 1/2 hours they were 6 mins. apart) we were on our way to the hospital and they stopped. BOOOOO...

Anyways, wish us luck and stay close for pictures and updates!

So, all of you have been wondering about Dustin and his new WIFE! Her name is Tori and her parents are in the same ward as Dustin's parents. They became quick friends and set up their children. Before Dustin left for Iraq they went on a few "strange" dates. Dustin fell quickly in love and she didn't! Over his time away she realized that they should get married, something he knew right away. She planned the wedding while he was away and they got married when he got back, interesting huh? They are super happy and things are going well.

We are still hangin' out, waiting for this little girl to come. I don't remember being so miserable with Aaron and I realized why, I was on bed rest for the last month of my pregnancy with him. So this has been a new experience! Aaron has changed rooms and beds in preparation of hr arrival, and he is doing great with the transition. We were nervous about changing him to a big boy bed, but he has taken to it real well, only a few bumps in the night.

Tyson took me on "a last date before baby" date. We stayed at the CDA resort in one of their pent houses and went to Les Miserables and he got me a massage and lots of other stuff. He did so good, we had a lot of fun! Thanks Hun!

Super Busy

SO, we have been super busy as of late! First, and most exciting, Dustin (Ty's brother) FINALLY got hitched. What a fun and exciting event! That took a lot of time and now that it is over seems like it was so long ago!
Next, we both have been preparing for our family reunions that are seriously a day apart from each other, good planning huh? My family will be going camping at round lake and participating in "reality", game shows. Ty and I are in charge of the Amazing Race. There is also Fear Factor and Iron Chef. Tyson's family is heading up to a rental house on the Coeur d'Alene Lake. We did this last year and had a blast.

Baby girl Frantz is doing well, growing fast and furious! The Doctor is concerned that she is growing too fast, but time will tell. I now have to check my blood sugars 4 times a day to remain in a safety zone, so far so good.

Anyways, we are doing fine and are getting ready for summer to be over and the real work to begin! Have a great day.

still hangin' around

Just a little update, we have a hard time keeping this blog updated. I realized something today though, I tell you most of the happenings in the Frantz household yet I do not take the time to write them down for our own personal collection. So, I am starting a little notebook that I can jot down quick notes about the family and then one especially for Aaron and one for the baby as well.

So, we have been having a lot of fun just hanging around. The weather is awful so we are cooped up most of the time. Enjoy the pictures.

Oh yeah, my camera was dead this morning as Tyson and Aaron were building the new play structure, it was funny though. Aaron was in his PJs and shoes and coat playing on the slide that was laying on the grass. He was so excited when it was all put together he climbed up the slide and immediately fell off rolled on the wet grass and came up laughing and tried again! It was great.

Also, our little guy is suffering from hand-foot-mouth disease which is a common virus and especially prevalent right now. The poor little thing has blisters in and around his mouth, on his hands and on his bum. None on his feet though, so we are calling it hand foot and bum sickies.

Then there was the episode where we found Aaron completely undressed one morning in his crib, he was so cold he was shivering. The picture showed a little too much, I will need to edit it before I post it. Then the next day he got into the butter and made pretty murals in my kitchen! I was thrilled about that, that video needs to be made smaller in size, it won't post.

Yummy Pancake recipe

ENJOY

Strawberry “ Cheesecake” Pancakes makes 8 pancakes

½ c milk
¼ c sugar
1 egg
2 TBSP unsalted melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ c small curd cottage cheese
1 tsp lemon zest minced

cook on the griddle on medium heat

Whisk milk, sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla together in a large bowl. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl then add to the egg mixture until just incorporated.( it can be a little lumpy). Blend in cottage cheese and zest.


Candied Graham Crackers
4 TBSP unsalted butter
1 c graham crackers crushed (4-5 crackers)
2 TBSP sugar
½ t ground cinnamon
pinch of salt


Sweetened Sour Cream
Whisk together 1 cup sour cream and a ¼
cup powdered sugar, then chill.


Fresh Strawberry Sauce
4 c fresh strawberries in halves
¼ c sugar
¼ c water
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp orange zest minced

Combined all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to boil reduce heat and simmer7 minutes or until strawberries soften.

Layer pancakes, strawberries, sweet cream and crumbs for the most delicious breakfast ever!

Mother's Day

We had a GREAT Mother's day. Every year we spend Breakfast with the Frantz clan, dinner at home, then off for Dessert with the Asper clan. This year was no exception. Breakfast was YUMMY! Tyson made strawberry cheesecake pancakes (my favorite) there was also eggs Benedict (side note, usually cannot eat eggs, I think they are disgusting, when I was pregnant with Aaron this happened too, during the 2 and 3 trimesters I can't get enough eggs) orange rolls and Marty's famous french toast and sauce. It was a lot of fun and since Cindy and Marty were heading off to pick up Sarah from New Zealand the next day it was a kind of going away party as well.
Church was fun, Aaron stayed in Nursery the whole time!! YEAH! that was a great gift for mother's day. We got home and Tyson made Mandarin Chicken for dinner. He did a fantastic job. Aaron came out with a special delivery. A spool of ribbon he picked out all by himself for my craft stuff. Then he handed me a piece of paper that said I had received a gift certificate to Motherhood. That is always nice.
Goodies with my family was fun, and there were some yummy treats. I think I way over ate because I got sick later on in the night. But it was worth every bite!
And to end the night, Survivor finale was on. It was good.
Anywho... happy late mother's day.

Exciting news

First I thought all of you would want to know that we had our ultrasound yesterday and the good news is that our baby is healthy and active! Second bit of good news, it's a GIRL!! We are really excited, and nervous, to have another baby.

Well, a couple weeks ago was my birthday and I really wanted to tell all of you what happened. Tyson is so awesome. Ty had the flu the week of my birthday but he had the day planned before he got sick, always prepared. The day started with Aaron bringing me a CD that had a note that said play me.The CD said that throughout the day people would be stopping by for brief visits. First visitor was the flower delivery person, 26 roses! Then my parents brought lunch, and a really good friend of mine happened to stop by too with cupcakes! Then the UPS man brought my first gift, a slushy/smoothie/ice cream maker. Then a courier brought an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Then the mail lady brought me a movie. What a day! Tyson told me that one present was not delivered so I got that one the next day! How awesome is that? Tyson is very thoughtful on special days!!!

A long posting about the last three months

Hello all. This is a very long narrative about the happenings of the last three months. Sorry about the spacing and arrangement, I got tired of messing around with it to get it perfect!

Aaron's Aunt Dedra sent him 2 outfits. This is a picture of the totally cute swim trunks. Now whenever he sees them he runs to the back door to get in the hot tub.

This is the 2nd outfit Aunt Dedra sent, we loved it. This outfit has a hood. We stuck a cell phone in there and let it ring. Aaron couldn't figure out what was going on. We laughed.

Arm cuffs? Poor thing, he couldn't move his arms, but his dad thought it was hilarious.

The dreaded day. Aaron learned how to not just throw his food, he can now fling it long distances. This for instance is a macaroni noodle on the wall of my stairs. Aaron was a good 10 feet away from the wall. I think it is still stuck out there right now, just as a reminder!

Remember the train Aaron got for Christmas? Well, he still can't get the thing to go by himself. So when cousins come over, we set him on the button on top and let his cousins take a ride.

Our own personal bird whisperer. You may have to turn the volume up a little to hear the master at work. Aaron was so excited about seeing birds that he was standing on his tiptoes to see the birds. He was whispering babbles to them for a long time.

Aaron found a bucket.

Our family had a "cousins-and-moms" get together. We were at my house and had a ball with pizza and games and of course the hot tub. Here are four of my nieces and nephews with Aaron and Autumn playing in the hot tub. Aaron was having a ball.

So, we had a family birthday party at My brother's house and we decided to take Aaron in his PJ'S because we knew he would fall asleep on the way home. Well, it turned out to be a super nice day (unheard of around here) and we all played outside. Aaron was completely covered with dirt. We gave him a bath at their house and needed a clean pair of jammies. So, this is what we got, girl jammies. Aaron loved them, except the two holes in the feet where the big toes go. We thought it was hilarious and had to share. Think, this is what our baby girl, if it is a girl, could look like!!

So, besides the yucky 24 hour flu I had, the stressful crimes that happened at Tyson's offices, and the fact that I am not experiencing morning sickness anymore, you are all caught up!!

Yes, I am working on the picture bit, but I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to create my own background. I downloaded the paper and what not, I have a program that could deal with them, how do I load it on to blogger? Any help would be great thanks!

Sorry for the long time between posts. I think the challenge for me is where to start. We have missed posting so many great videos and pictures that it is a daunting task to gt them all up. So, I may have to be picky on what is posted. Tyson still needs to show me how to do the video thing, so hopefully soon I will have more posted.
On another note, Aaron has learned how to play hide and seek. It is hilarious. He hides very well until you say his name. He will start laughing right away and give his position away. He is getting big and is so much fun to be around. Anywho, have a good Saturday we will update soon!

Still alive

Hello cyber world! The Frantz's have not died, we are still alive! Well, as we enter the forth month of pregnancy life starts to happen again! The throwing up happens only once a day, and going to the store is not impossible and cooking dinner happens again on occassion. Things are going well here. I cannot belive how fast our little Aaron is growing up. He has become an idependant little guy during the last three months. It kinda makes me sad to see him grow so fast. With his new found independance, though, comes a little heartache. He refuses to wait for us or to accept our help, so he has fallen three times this week and got three HUGE fat lips! Blood was everywhere. I think he is coming around to holding our hand now!

Anyways, just a quick update, we are here and feeling better!

Feelin' good

A most remarkable turn around has happened. I am not sick. I have had 2 unbearable weeks of morning sickness, and yesterday morning I woke up "HEALED" (knock on wood). I am functioning and can eat almost anything. Our Dr. gave us some medicine to try but I haven't even had to use it!

The appointment went well, we are 8 weeks and 3 days, due Sept. 17th! we got to see the little heart beat and that is always a thrill.

Anyways, thought I would update, have a great day!

Guess What??

Well I thought it appropriate to warn all our friends that our blog will most likely not be updated for a while. We have a surprise coming to our family and unfortunately that brings along a three month puking fest! UCK!! Yup, we're pregnant! we think we are about 7-8 weeks along. We are excited but living the day to day is really hard for me. We have our first appointment next week and we will find out for sure what the due date is and stuff. If you have any great cures for yucky morning sickness, and how to take care of a 1 year old at the same time, pass it along I will try ANYTHING!

another update

Well yesterday was our 5th Anniversary. What a interesting day we had. First it started with our funace breaking! Yeah, seriously. Our house was so cold, it got down to 60 degrees! BRRRR. We had a handy man from our ward come over to see what was wrong, he got it going then left. We were very happy when the temperature started rising, then.... It was off again. This time we called in the professionals. In the mean time we cancelled our babysitter (we couldn't leave them in the cold, if the pros didn't show up in time). We found a family memeber to take Aaron to their house. We were getting ready to leave when the heater guys came. They fixed the thing in no time flat and we were on the horn again getting the babysitter. She was still willing to come so we got her and left on our date. After taking a few minutes to put the day behind us, we had a great time. We watched the new National treasure and went to get dinner. We had fun reminising about when we were dating and the five wonderful years we have spent married. All in all it was a great night. Tyson has been planning a little get away for us for a little while, it was supposed to happen for our 5th but the time wasn't right so it will happen later. The happenings are a surprise, all I know is that I need to have an evening gown and that Aaron will be with family for two days. Needless to say, I am pretty excited.

On to other news... my dad is home and recovering. Things look good. We are so happy that he is home and returning to normal.
Our computer broke a little while ago so we are still trtying to get used to the new one, Ty promises that he will help me get pictures up soon.
