Happy Birthday Princess!

I don't have much time today but I just wanted to wish my little girl a
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!!
My angel is 1 year old today. I have alot of mixed emotions about this day. I am so happy she is 1 but on the other hand i'm so sad she isn't my baby any more. I can't believe how fast this year has went!! She has made my life so much more and I thank God everyday that she is mine!! I'll post more of her birthday party later when I have more time... we have lots of things to do today!!

So I have a lot to catch up on!! Here are a BUNCH of pictures from the last 2 months!!! I'll try to put captions underneath the pictures of whats going on. My little girl is growing so much!! I can't believe she is almost 1!!

Aunt Sheila has full length mirror closet doors (if that makes sense) and Ava LOVES them!! She always goes into her room and loves looking at her self in the mirror. On this particular occasion she is wearing one of Aunt Sheila's dresses from when she was a baby. Look at those dimples!! She is such a happy baby!!

This picture is from one of our Sunday's at Grandma Sharon's house! We spend our Sunday's over there for lunch and a peaceful afternoon!!

One of Ava's favorite things to do is read!! She is getting so smart! If your looking at the book with her and ask her to show you the cat she will point at the cat!! She will sit and look at her books for so long by herself!!

Here is Ava in front of the Sam Davis Home. It is a historic home here in Smyrna, TN. It is a BEAUTIFUL home!! (she might be flipping the bird in this picture but I can't really tell)

Robby was the best man at one of his high school friends' wedding a few weeks ago.

Just another Sunday at Grandma Sharon's house!! Playing in the yard!!


She loves to play peek-a-boo!! She will even try to cover up your eyes and play.

This rocking chair was made by Ava's Great-Grandpa Nelson. It is so beautiful. She loves it. It is a priceless item that we will cherish. She loves to play in it and it fits her so perfect right now.

Every Monday night she gets to go spend some time with her Grandma Gayle. She enjoys going over there and I think Gayle enjoys it just as much!!

Here is my baby girl and her favorite person!! She loves her daddy!! She will pick up the remote, or a calculator and hold it up to her ear and say "dada" like she is talking on the phone. She will mimic everything you do!

Here is Ava in her Great-Grandma Nelson's dress from when she was a baby. I know its see-through but my little girl looks so cute!! Even when she is being serious!!

Here is Ava crawling. She isn't walking yet but that is ok because once she is it will be even harder to keep her under control. She will walk along the furniture but that is all.


And here is the final picture of this LONG LONG post. She looks so big!! I can't believe a year has went by!! We have our first thanksgiving coming up and I am so thankful for this little girl and the people in my life!! God is great!!

so....

So its been a while since I've posted.... We haven't been doing much. Ava's actually been sick the past 2 days and we've been trying to deal with that. I thought she was just teething but turns out she might be trying to get a viral infection. I took her to the doctors today when her temperature kept going up and they said to just keep an eye on her and if it gets any worse bring her back... so now we will just wait... We have been awake for about 2 days straight now. She won't eat or sleep. Hopefully tonight will be somewhat better. Please keep my little girl in your prayers... until next time!!

Our next door neighbors have a brand new puppy and I went and borrowed it. She loved playing with it. It jumped up on Ava and scared her half to death.

What have we been up too???

Well alot has been going on. Ava is standing up holding onto things...she is fast at crawling. She will be walking any day now. She is about 18.5 lbs and growing like a weed. This past week Papa and Taylor Grace came out to visit us!! We have enjoyed spending so much time with them and have done alot of fun things... here are some pictures of our adventures!

We took a trip down to the Aquarium in Chattanooga. It was AMAZING!! We all had such a good time! Ava enjoyed watching all the fish. I've never been to an aquarium and it was so fun. At one point we were under the aquarium and there was about 5 million pounds of water on top of us!!

Here is an alligator in one of the exhibits. It was pretty creepy looking...
There were a bunch of sharks in one tank and they would come right over to the glass and the teeth on those things were CRAZY!
There was even a butterfly exhibit and a butterfly landed right on Taylor's leg. It freaked her out but we enjoyed it!

This is what Ava looked like for the majority of the aquarium. She loved it!! She is such a happy baby and loves looking at everything!

She has such a fun baby with such a fun personality. She loves having Taylor here and watches her every move!

Here is one of the sting ray that Taylor got to pet. She didn't know what to think of that. There was a bunch of them in one tank and you could just reach in and play with them.

I love this picture! One of the things I hate most about living in Tennessee is I'm not close enough to this little girl!

They even had a parrot exhibit. This aquarium has so much to see. If your ever in the area I would defiantly recommend it!

More sting rays.... although these ones were not to be petted! They still have their stingers!

And this is what happens after a 3 hour trip to the aquarium!!

Both girls passed out as soon as we were in the car on our way home! So peaceful!

Yesterday we took an adventure to the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg TN. Of course this was more for us adults to learn about it and the kids just had fun going with us.

Ava just loves riding in her stroller. I have a feeling though when she starts walking we will be in alot of trouble. She loves to crawl and is so fast. When she starts walking she'll be into everything!!

Here is a picture of the Sawmill at Jack Daniels. It really is an interesting place to see... even if youd don't drink!
