had lunch with pamela at true food; a newly opened restaurant at the santa monica place. we shared a t.l.t.a (tempeh, lettuce, tomato and avocado) sandwich, kale salad and sweet potato hash. to drink; a refreshing cucumber lemonade. really excellent.

fri: settle into our mountain home for the weekend. wonderful dinner at pacific crest grill.

sat: breakfast, five lake's hike. lunch on the lake; our bill was mysteriously comped by "uncle milton." relaxing together; drinks, music, games, love. preparing a phenomenal dinner together. poblano chili "pasta verde", grilled eggplant, mint and burrata penne, baby greens salad with lots of goodies, caprese, stone fruit tart and pear and chocolate cake.

1. Sitting at dinner last night and looking all around and seeing all my friends together...and eating that amazing pasta dish Taylor and Nomi made which I am still dreaming about... (yum!)

4. The end of Lisa's yoga class (ari was very moved by the session ॐ)
5. Hearing Mica read Todd's answer to the question about my favorite TV show and being simultaneously shocked and non-shocked that it was a verbatim account of my thought process on Keeping up with the Kardashians vs. Biggest Loser. I guess we're ready to get married ;)

five lakes hike: lake tahoe.

to celebrate my beautiful sister friend*, ari, as a bride-to-be a group of wonderful women drove and flew out to lake tahoe. we had a beautiful time. we hiked the blossoming, rocky trail for about 6 miles to the "five lakes."*sister friend: a term coined on the trip meaning more then a friend, close as a sister.
