Born to Ride!

We had to find something to do out at Last Chance while the lakes are filling up, so we all got motorcycles! This weekend we loaded up our friend's gorgeous motorhome with all the dirtbikes and kids and spent the day out at the soon to be lake. We had such a blast riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers. Troy was in total heaven with all of his friends -- they seriously rode all day long. Cody, Rick's partner in the lake project, quickly built a track and jump for everyone to ride on. He even watered down the dirt so it wasn't so dusty. You should have seen the guys on the jump, talk about HUGE air. Mallory enjoyed hanging out in the motorhome. She thought it was pretty neat to have a house on wheels. We could have spent days out there -- it's fun to think that this was the first of many great memories out at Last Chance!

Lindsie's Dance Recital

Lindsie had so much fun this year dancing at Just Dance with her friend, Grace. They had a darling summer dance program. Their dance was called Jump Jive. Lindsie did such a great job. She just smiled and looked like she was having the time of her life. Her dance recital was the same weekend as my Ragnar Relay race. I got home at about 3:00 (totally sleep deprived) and had to leave to her recital by 6:00 Thanks to my great friend, Jenn, she got Lindsie to her dress rehersal, curled her hair, and got her to the recital on time. Thanks Jenn, I owe you HUGE! I wish I would have gotten more pictures, but I was lucky to keep my eyes open. Here are a few pics I did snap:

Happy Anniversary

Today is Rick and my 14th Wedding Anniversary! Wow -- how did I get so lucky to be married to the man of my dreams for 14 years:) Three kids later, three houses, two boats, one cat, I can't remember how many cars, and lots of fun memories -- we are still as happy as ever! Here are the reasons I love Rick and stay married to him...


We have all the same hobbies and love to play together
He is a hard worker and never gives up
He is very patient and loves to teach people things, especially our kids
He is the best waterskiier I have ever seen
He lets me choose the dessert when we go out to eat
I love his big brown eyes and tan skin
He is so handsome
He never complains when I go out with my friends
He always seems to make time for family, even though he has thousands of things on his plate
He is honest
He plays guitar like a rock star
He is smart with money
He has a great sense of humor and is always teasing me or the kids
When he says "oh, by the way" I get nervous about his latest idea
He is always up for an adventure
I love when his eyes get teary when he is talking about something that means a lot to him
I love that he fell in love with me and asked me to marry him all those years ago!

Thanks Rick for the last 14 years! I guess I will renew your contract for another year:)

Ragnar Relay!

Ragnar Relay is my favorite race of the year. If I could only pick one race to do, I would definately pick this one. Our team is the Dirty Underwear Gang! We had a blast decorating our support vans with underwear (everyone decorates their vans and there is a prize for the best decorated van). Our team had such a great time. The scenery is so beautiful -- we run from Logan along the back of the Wasatch Mountains to Park City (181 miles). There are a lot of hills to run and everyone on our team did great. It was Bubba and Tara's first year with us and they were amazing. This is the 4th year I have done it and every year there are more and more people. The first year there were only around 75 teams, this year there were 550. I can't wait until next year to do it again! On our team it was: Chris, J.D., Bubba, Zach, Kevin, and Jay for the guys. Me, Tara, Tanya, Leah, Anne, and Emily for the girls!

Dirt Series Mtn Biking Camp

My very thoughtful husband knows how much I love to mountain bike, so he surprised me and sent me to a mountain biking camp in Park City. Rick watched the kids for two full days and I got to go have a great time mountain biking. I went with my friend, Andrea. In the mornings, we learned all kinds of new skills and tips for biking and then in the afternoons we went on rides and put our new skills to practice! I even tried a teeter-totter -- It was so much fun.

Troy's Kindergarten Graduation

Troy is officially a kindergarten graduate! He had such a great year and loved going to school every day. Some of the highlights of his kindergarten year: His teacher had to give him a "look" when he needed to change his behavior. Mrs. Bryson described him as the "ring leader" What ever he did, the other kids would follow. We had a little talk one day when he was organizing burping contests at his table. He had taken it a little too far! I got to help out in his class parties and his dad went on the zoo field trip with him! He was in the same class as Brielle and at the beginning of the year would get upset when he couldn't sit by her at all times. As the year progressed, he learned to branch out and make a few friends with some of the boys in his class.

Lindsie's Birthday

This is what 9 years old looks like! Wow -- I can't believe Lindsie is 9, she is growing up so fast.

We had talked a little bit about having a birthday party, but before I knew it, Lindsie had made all the plans for the party and hand made all the invitations. The invitation gave all the details of the party including meeting at Lindsie's house at 4:30 and we will go to Tepanyaki for dinner. After dinner, we will go to cold stone for ice cream and then back to Lindsie's for a late over. I was surprised she didn't add in stopping at the mall for a build-a-bear, Justice for a new outfit, and we will end the night with a pedicure!!

They ended the night with matching pajamas and danced the night away!!! It is so much fun being with Lindise and her friends. I enjoy each one of them. She really has a fun group of friends.
