Troy

It finally happened, Troy lost his first tooth. He has been waitng and waitng for his turn to lose a tooth and his teeth were not cooperating. He was so excited to show everyone his new smile.

I'm going to miss those baby teeth!

Troy has been working hard twice a week at Karate Classes. He absoultely loves it and no surprise, is great at it. He has already advanced to his yellow belt. His instructor let him test a few weeks early because he was so far ahead. I am so proud of Troy and how hard he works to learn his forms and he has to memorize different "oaths"

Colorado Springs

Every year in November, Rick and his partners take their wives to the Physical Therapy Private Practice Seminar. This year we went to Colorado Springs and stayed at the Broadmoor Hotel. It was such an amazing hotel. It was like staying on a campus with shops, hotels, golf course, tennis courts, spa, fitness center, pools and hot tubs. Rick and his partners spend the day going to classes, and us wives just live it up however we want!

I spent the afternoons in the room napping, after wearing myself out at the gym working out all morning and sitting in the hot tub! It was really rough!

This was my breakfast one morning: the best orange almond french toast ever! My mouth waters when I see this picture.

The ladies went to Valley of the God's and went hiking one day. It reminded me of moab with the red rocks.

The last night was a nice dinner WESTERN STYLE.

Cheer

On Halloween morning, Lindsie had her first Cheer Competition!

Her squad has been working so hard all summer (3 practices a week) to learn their cheers, dances, and stunts. Now all their hard work is paying off. I can't believe how good they are. They took 2nd place for 5th grade.

Addie is the friend who talked, and I mean talked, Lindsie into doing cheer. Lindsie's first response was "NO", but cute Addie didn't give up until she agreed to it. Good thing, because Lindsie has learned so much and has had a blast doing it.

Thank goodness for these three gals! Kristin and Liz were the cheer moms. You know, the ones who everyone complains to about everything, forgets to notice all the hard work they are putting into making it just right for our girls, AND they don't realize they are just doing this out of the kindness of their hearts, their love for cheer, and are NOT even getting paid!
Morgan is the cheer coach. We could not have asked for a better coach. She knew just how hard to push the girls, but could also recognize when they needed to break down crying and join in for a group hug!
Thank you so much for all your time devoted to these girls. They will never forget their first experience with Cheer.

Liz, Jenn, and I were teary-eyed messes as we watched our daughters perform with huge smiles on their faces, having the time of their lives!
I just love Lindsie -- she puts her whole heart and soul into everything she does. I am so proud to be her mom!

October Fun!

It has been one BUSY October! We have been having so much fun. It all started with Grammy's cousin Halloween Party! The kids look forward to this party every year. It was so much fun to have baby Cameron there. He was very interested in what all the kids were doing.

We had pizza shaped like a pumpkin, played Halloween Bingo, and ended the party with Grammy telling her fun Halloween Stories and trying to scare the kids.

CORNBELLY'SWe met some friends at Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving point. The kids had a blast all day playing.

Lindsie planned her annual Halloween party for her friends! They all came dressed up so cute.

They had a blast dancing to all kinds of fun Halloween music. It's hard to tell, but this room was dark with a strobe light and fog machine. We had a blast dancing the night away.

Jason planned this amazing game for the night. He had the whole house set up with different stations and put us into teams. It was a race and each team had to go to each station and perform a task. Each person on the team had to take a turn. It was the most clever amazing game ever. The whole house was pitch black and all we had were flashlights. It was the best party I have ever been to. Jason and Lisa had put so much work into making the night so much fun. Everyone left in awe at what a fun party it was.

You never knew when Jig Saw might jump out at you, chase you around the house and make you pee your pants.

Melissa had to bob for apples and lemons in disgusting bug and grass infested water (and who knows what else)LOL.

I wish I had pictures of the other stations. (well, some I can't post due to their inappropriate nature and this is a FAMILY blog) LOL

What an amazing group of friends we have. I am always so grateful to be surrounded by so many fun and great people. I wish I would have gotten pictures of all the couples there...

Halloween Night

We had a few families in the neighborhood over for chili before the kids took off trick-or-treating

Jason turned his trailer into a trick or treat hay ride for the kids. They loved it. What a great way to get around FAST!

Rick, Brent and Travis were all about scaring the trick or treaters. This is Brent inside the gorilla costume. He acted like he was a stuffed-fake gorilla. Rick would place the bowl of candy bars in his lap and tell the kids to help themselves to the candy. It was so funny to watch the kids jump and scream!!!!

At the end of the night, we had someone else who wanted to try to do the scaring. This gorilla wasn't as big as the other gorilla, but they sure did a good job growling and scaring the kids.
