Field Trip

Third grade was lucky enough to be chosen to go and be taste testers for the school lunch program.  We took a bus to Sandy, Utah to the school district office there.  The kids got to walk around and taste hundreds of items and then rate them on clipboards to let them know if they liked them or not.  It was kind of fun. 

Chinese New Year and 100th Day of School

To celebrate Chinese New Year and the 100th day of school, the PTA had a fun activity for the school.  The room moms came and made Chinese lanterns with the kids in our classes while the teachers went to the gym to create a Chinese New Year parade entry.  The teachers then paraded through the school for the kids.  Here is our third grade entry.

Thanks so much for coming to parent-teacher conferences this week.  I know that everyone's schedules are really busy, but I really appreciate the effort.  It is a great feeling to have 100% of the parents in our class represented.  Remember this coming Thursday night is the Literacy/Math night at McKinley.  Also, our field trip to Sandy is on Friday.  Make sure your student wears the new t-shirt that was provided for them on the field trip.  It has been a cold and snowy month.  Luckily, the kids seemed to have enjoyed it!  I sure do love this group of kids!
