⚡ Match Highlights: Match Update & Schedules

This past weekend I went out to visit Holls in San Diego. Holly moved to La Mesa to go to school in August. It's been tough since she's been gone, I've missed her like crazy. But she is loving school and visiting the beach weekly for me! Anyway, Holly's little sister Julie and I flew out on Thursday night to visit for the weekend. We flew standby, so we had a little bit of an adventure getting there and getting home. It was a miracle we got on the plane on Thursday night. We used Tonya's buddy passes and she called me while we were sitting at the gate and said it didn't look good...there was no way we were getting on the flight. Jules and I both said a little prayer in hopes that we could still make it to San Diego Thursday night. And amazingly, we got on...last 2 on the entire plane. It was definitely a blessing! So the trip started out adventurous. While we were there, we went to Sea World (my first time), played at Mission Beach, got free San Diego shirts after flirting with the manager, did a little shopping, and even worked out (Holly made us). Well, The weather turned out to be awesome, and it was a great weekend getaway. The trip was cut a little short after a 3am phone call telling us our Monday morning flight was full and we had to be to the airport by 8am if we wanted to get home. Well...we made the flight...but it was quite the adventurous...early....morning.

Since this blog originated as a blog about all of my blonde moments, I thought that adding my blonde moment of the trip would be appropriate. We were driving to the beach with Holly's new "friend" Byron and I was telling him how awesome SeaWorld was and how amazing it is that they can train Shamu to do tricks. He said something like, "oh yeah, you got to see the orcas" and I replied, "No, not the orcas, the Shamu's" haha. Clearly I didn't know what an orca was at the time.
