New addition and other randoms

A few weeks ago we noticed something was happening to the wreath hanging on our front door. It was begining to accumulate sticks and branches......behold the birds nest. Most people hate haveing a bird take over their front door, but we never use our front door so i love it!

Here are a couple of pictures of the tulips and daffodills in my front yard.

A month or two ago Jake and i headed down to St. George for a break. It was nice to get away and we had a chance to visit his grandparents that live down there. Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson are the funniest little couple ever

Also a few months ago my good friend Jani tied the knot. We are so excited and happy for Jani and Jeremey. The make the perfect couple and i know they will have a wonderful life together. My prediction is that they will have a bunch of kids and probably at least one set of twins.

The next couple of pictures were taken at the Heiner/Flammer wedding dinner where Jake played the piano. Jake loves playing the piano but he hardly ever gets a chance to. If anyone is looking for someone to play at their wedding or for any other occassion, he would love to assist you.

A while ago Jake's cousin Katie and her husband Eric asked us to watch their four kids for the day while they went to a wedding, all i can say is wow! I love these kids to death but wow they are exhausting. I don't know how Katie does it, she is pregnant with her 5th and still manages to keep her kids entertained every day. And oh ya, she has twins so all of her kids are really close together in age. I had to put this picture up. It is a picture of Elsie trying on my high heels, she looked so cute! Elsie and i had so much fun that day, we painted fingernails, played find the cards i hid all over the bedroom and of course dress up.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am enjoying the two weeks i have off from school and busy planning our trip to Washington DC. We are going in two weeks and if anyone has been i would love your ideas on the best places to visit and eat or whatever you did. Since i will be in school we are only going for 5 days but we want to fit in as much as we can.

Dinner Follow Up

Well Jake's dinner ended up turning out pretty good! We had filet Mignon, garlic sauteed green beans, crispy baked potatoes, papaya, raspberries and our finale was a Coca Cola cake. Not to brag or anything but it turned out perfect, just how i had planned.

I again just want to say how proud i am Jake; not only is he a wonderful husband but he is a wonderful brother, son, cousin, friend, employee and so much more. One example of the wonderful things he does is, when last Thursday Jake stayed up late to help his brother write a "mock" talk. It turns out the talk Jake helped with was so good that his brother Ryan will be giving it at Viewmont High school's graduation because he is Valedictorian! Another example of Jake's wonderfulness is how much our primary class loves him. We teach the four year olds and all of the kids are always wanting to sit by "Mr. Green", as one little girl calls him, or have him help them give the prayer. Jake is so cute with the kids, he is going to be the best dad.

Jakes Birthday

Today is my sweet husband Jake's 25th birthday.

I just wanted to give a little shout out to Jake and tell him how proud i am of him. Jake works so hard for our family (see previous post about doing house work) and he is always trying to come up with ways to suprise me and make me happy, so i wanted to make him happy today. I got Jake exactly what he wanted for his birthday, well he picked it up from the store, but i told him he could haha. Every year Jake goes pheasant hunting with his family and he has been wanting his own gun to use for a long time. I finally gave in and we got him the exact gun he has been wanting. He has been so excited since we bought it that i have had to hide it so he would stop pulling it out and drooling over it!

Tomorrow i will also be making a full dinner for us and Chad and Monica. For those of you that know me really well you know that i NEVER cook. Lets pray dinner works out! I will have to post afterwards and tell everyone how it went.

I finished my last final today so I will be giving Jake a very happy wife for the next two weeks.....and then i start summer school but i will still try and be happy, i just cant guarntee anything.

Anyways, I just want Jake to know how grateful I am for him and everything he does for our family. He always has a good attitude, he is always willing to help people, he is always encouraging and supportive and i love spending all of my time with him!

A little piece of Spring

Today i came home to the most beautiful sight.....two daffodils in my yard! I have felt like winter is never going to end so this was definitely a bright spot in my day. I can't wait until all of my tulips come out!

I love coming home to a front yard of flowers everyday but I'm worried I'm not going to have time to work in my yard this year. I have decided to take 12 credits the first 7 weeks of summer. It is going to be absolutely hectically horrible but so worth it in the long run. I will then finish up school in the fall with 2 classes.....until i go back to get my masters. haha, ya right!

I know Jake is super excited for me to be done with school so he can have his wife back. Lately i have been so busy getting ready for finals and large projects that Jake has been doing the laundry, cleaning and cooking. He seriously has been doing everything, I'm so lucky to have him!
