Going Forth!

Tomorrow my son will be leaving us for two years. I know that it is the right thing to do but I never knew it would be so hard on me! He came into our lives at a time when things were a little hard. He brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. I will miss his music, the love he gives and his enjoyment of my cooking! He is a wonderful son and will be a wonderful missionary!

We have been having some wonderful times together lately. After this picture was taken, our whole family went out to eat together. It had been a long time since we had all been together. It was so nice. We took him to Salt Lake City and saw Les Miserables, it was something he had wanted to do. It was wonderful even if I kind of lost it when they sang "Bring Him Home". Afterwards we went to eat at Benihanas Japanese restaurant. I don't know how authentic it was but we sure enjoyed it. Then we went to see my husbands sister who was in the hospital after having an accident with a horse. She is doing much better now. We stayed over night in SLC and the next morning we went to the SLC temple. Such nice times.

We have had some nice family dinners, he received a fathers blessing. We went to a movie with my cousin and her daughter who he his very close with. I've been trying to make a lot of his favorite meals lately and his sisters are coming over for breakfast the morning he leaves. He will definitely be missed. We love him very much!

Just Grateful!

• My son gave his "last talk before Japan" on Sunday. He did an amazing job. He spoke on being your brothers keeper. After his talk he did a special musical number with two of his friends. He played the piano while they sang an arrangement he had written of Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art. It was beautiful! I am so grateful for my son and his talent and his great desire to do those things which he believes are right.



• My other son came down from Idaho Falls. I was grateful he was here and I had an answer to a prayer.



• My daughter sacrificed time with her sweet family on Saturday and came over and helped me get ready for the open house on Sunday. I am so grateful for her kindness. She then helped cook food for Sunday and spent her time helping me in the kitchen, even coming back to help after she had taken her children home to nap! Love her so much!!!



• Saturday, since we had our family all here, I wanted to do a family photo shoot. I asked a special friend of my daughters to help by taking the pictures. She did a great job. Grateful for her.



• My son-in-law let her use his camera and that night he went through them and emailed me the ones he thought were the best and even printed one off and they brought it on Sunday! Grateful for his kindness!



• My oldest step-daughter helped cook breakfast casseroles for Sunday and even ran home after the meeting to get them and bring them back. Grateful!



• My next step-daughter brought her two boys and came from Park Valley so they could be here early to have our pictures taken! Grateful!



• For grandchildren who make life so fun! Grateful!



• So many family and friends came to support my son as he talked. So Grateful!



• My sweet sister who spent the whole time in the kitchen helping, helping and helping! Grateful for a sister who is so kind.



• I have some wonderful friends and family who sacrificed their time to help me, they cooked food and shared dishes so I would have enough to feed all who came to wish my son the best!



• My husband who gave so much of his time to help get our yard and home ready. Sooo Grateful.



• My Father in Heaven, who has given me so much and blessed me in so many ways! Grateful!



• My Savior who gave His life that I might be able to return and live with my Father in Heaven again. Very Grateful!
