We just wanted to share a picture of our little angel dressed in her Easter best! She's a little doll and hopefully she'll forgive us one day for playing dress up in these early days. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I thought that I knew what love was but motherhood has definately re-defined my version of love for my family in entirety. I am so blessed to have this "Lucky Charm" in my life!

Grandma D (my Mom) has been here for a little over a week and so she has blessed us with her service and excitment over our little bundle of joy. We are so grateful to her for taking the time out of her busy schedule to be here to marvel with us over the tiny changes that Savannah has already made. I think that by having Grandma D here it has made the experience so much more real to us because we have a witness who validates to us that we have this amazing little angel with us. Michael and I find ourselves staring at Savannah and marveling at the miracle that she is. It is safe to say that we are all mesmerized by her!

Thank you to everyone who has extended support, prayers, love, and gifts for Savannah (and us). We are so grateful to you all and hope and pray that the Lord will continue to bless you for your kindness.

Today She Became a Mom

She is many things. I know no one that has as cheerful a disposition as she does. No one that has a way with people like she does. She can make the best of any situation, as easily as she makes our house a home. Today, she is not just my best friend in the entire world, or the best wife one could hope for. Today she became a mother. The mother of a beautiful healthy little baby girl. Today's a day we have both looked forward to for a while. One we've long and fervently prayed for. Today, our prayers are of thanksgiving. Thankful we are for the opportunity to be Savannah's parents in this lifetime. And as today we start the first day of the rest of our lives, I'm as sure as I have been every day in this companionship, that the best is yet to come. Our bundle of joy is 8 pounds and 10 ounces.
