Sekinchan and Kuala Selangor

On Sunday morning, I drive to Sekinchan and Kuala Selangor together with my 2 friends for a day trip. It tooks an hour to reach Sekinchan using Jalan Kuala Selangor. The paddy fields just located at the right side of the road when reach Sekinchan town. Sekinchan is known as the ricebowl of Malaysia with a lot of paddy fields and some pretty interesting fishing villages. The best time to visit is early in the morning and before the harvest month. Sekinchan is just a small town with some shops, restaurants and houses but the paddy fields is beautiful.

Kuala Selangor is famous in seafood and the fireflies at night time. We tried 4 seafood dishes and cost us RM55. The Jeti Seafood Restaurant is located near river side as photo above. Nice seafood and nice scene!

Gua Tempurung

On 19-Sep-2009, I took an hour tour to Gua Tempurung located near Gopeng on my way back to my hometown during Hari Raya holiday. Gua Tempurung is one of the famous cave in Perak. I still remember I went there about 10 years ago during my secondary school time with a group of friends and we took the Top of the World & Short River Adventure tour, is an exciting and adventure tour that time. This time I just went for a short tour due to time constraint and some other issue.

I love to explore nature because it help to release mind, get healthy and cost little money compare to other activities. Somehow, not many friends interest in this kind of activities including my siblings. Sometime people ask me why I always go somewhere alone, the reason is that not because I like to travel alone, but is very difficult to find a friend who have a same interest and free at the same time. I notice most people like shopping, eating or watch movie than interested in outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging, adventure or explore nature. Sometime I invited my friends, but the answer is always "not free", "not interested" or "no stamina".....

Gua Tempurung (Tempurung Cave) has existed since early 8000 B.C. and it is one of the larger cave systems found in the scenic limestone hills of Perak. In fact, it is the largest natural limestone structure in Peninsular Malaysia. The cave measures 1.9 km in length and 120 metres in height. The cave follows a direct course through a mountain range called Gunung Gajah-Tempurung, located south of Ipoh towards Gopeng and Kampar. It is a cavern inside Gunung Tempurung (Tempurung Mountain) standing 497 metres high and is about 250 million years old. This means Gua Tempurung is even older than the mountain that rises majestically like a karst tower. Visible from the North-South Expressway near Gopeng, the mountain is an erosional remnant near an ancient coastline. Years of mineralisation of the limestone rocks yielded deposits of tin, with some tungsten minerals and other minor ores. In several locations inside the dry upper chambers of the cave, vein deposits of tin (cassiterite) are evident in walls and ceilings. Within the karst tower, there is a river-cave system. The river, Sungai Gua Tempurung runs about 1.6 km. It originates from the north and south outlets of a small catchment derived from the granite upland area to the east.

Proton Persona

I had been driving the 13 years Proton Wira 1.6 for about 4 years, repair for more than 10 times cost me more than 8K, call for tow 2 times, re-painted 1 time, accident 1 time.....

My next target car will be Proton Persona. Hopefully can get it by next year.....

I prefer higher cc car because got more power and the only car in the market with 1.6 cc and affordable price is Proton Persona. As long as I can get a car to drive anywhere I like to go without break-down, it should be enough for me! Saw in weekend newspaper, MYFM DJ Jack Lim did tell his story of travelling around Malaysia with his Proton Persona.....

Once I get the car, I will drive to explore whole Malaysia as part of my 2010 travel plan! :)

小明：“什么是内安法令？”
老师：“内安法令就是内心感到不安，违法滥用权力的命令！”
小明：“那么滥用权力和内安法令有什么不同？”
老师：“暂时还找不到！不过所谓不一样的就只有朋友和敌人！”
小明：“那老师您是他的朋友还是敌人！？”
老师：“大选的时候，他们把我当着是朋友，平常日子就把我当敌人！”
小明：“这话怎么说？”
老师：“说不了！这就是他们厉害的地方”
小明：“老师老师，一直都叫您老师，请问您叫什么名字？”
老师：“我姓老，名百姓，我叫老百姓”
