You Have Got To Be Kidding Me

We have had friends get it.  But never us.  At first I thought it only happened in homes that were dirty.  Not the case.  These little suckers like a clean head.  

We got a call from Jenny Sunday night stating her son had lice and to check our children, they are always playing together.  Sure enough Evan and Kyle both had lice.  At 11pm Evan got a buzz, I was so grossed out.  We acted like everyone got it.  Everyone got a treatment.  Thank goodness for modern medicine and conveniences.  This treatment stuff is expensive but it works.  Everything in our home has been deep cleaned.  Now I just need to put it all back:(  

If only I had a cleaning service.  I can dream, right?

Every night we all sit down and use this handy Robi Comb.  It detects lice and eggs.  The school let us borrow it, cause daddy works there:)

Since the boys were home, they had fun building their fort. 

It is going to be a long week!

To say that Reid likes trains in an understatement.  He is obsessed with them.  From the second he wakes up to the minute he goes down.  "Whoo whoo tain ma".  He was in H.E.A.V.E.N. to see this.

I feel so behind on life.

I want to be caught up on everything.  Laundry. Cleaning. Our Blog. Projects. Decorating.  But I think I need to except the fact that it will never be totally caught up until we are empty nesters and retired.  So tonight I am going to widdle away at the blog.  One day I will turn this blog into a book.  one. day.

PS for those of you that do not know.  I have had a dream come true.  It is a bit earlier then what I had planned but could not pass up the opportunity.  I GOT A JOB!  More on that later.

We have been busy with soccer...  this saturday he stayed busy putting on and off my boots.

After soccer, I celebrated my dear friend Jenny's 40th birthday.  It was an interesting night to say the least.  The next day I was giving a lesson on resisting sin and I walked away with a lot of material.  For my lesson I made carmel apples.  I cut into one and asked someone to try it.  After she ate it and was happy I got a lot of that's not fair, I want some.  Which lead perfectly into my next "apple".  I cut it open to reveal an onion.  No one wanted to try it anymore.  Satan is wonderful at making things look good on the outside and appealing when in reality it's not all that it's cracked up to be (a quote from one of the girls that night).  

It was a beautiful night.

I feel so blessed to have the gospel in my life!!!!

L.I.F.E.

So I got a JOB!  I have always wanted to buy and wear scrubs but have always wanted there to be a reason:)

For those of you that do not know, I have a love for teeth and have always wanted to work in a dentist office.  I was going to go back to school next fall when Reid started preschool to become a dental assistant.  I really wanted to be a dental hygienist but there are no schools around here.  Long story short you can either go to school to become a dental assistant or be trained on the job.  And that is just what I am doing.  A dentist here in town hired me and is training me.  Best of both worlds.  I am getting paid to go to school.  He is so flexable with me. 

And a total side note, I still have yet to fill out an application or be in an interview:) 

I also let my gym pass expire.  Since getting this job it has made me want to be outside more.  I love running and need to get back into it.  Also my favorite classes are when I work:(

This night I went 7 miles.  Out of nowhere.  I have not been running.  It was hard but it was done.

Happy to say FHE has been so fun around here lately with the boys giving us the lessons.  Daddy choose the activity tonight.  I almost forgot we had this... it needed to be dusted off.

Emergency Evacuation Plan

It's not finished but during conference we updated our 72 hour kits.  They had not been updated since Luke was a newborn... YIKES.  I also put this together.  It is not totally finished but I am feeling much more prepared.

Today was a Library day for us

Big Brother (Evan) is a B.I.G. reader and finished the 4th book in the Fablehaven series. They had the 5th book in San Luis so we ventured down to pick it up. Yes they transfer books for you but I am always looking for a reason to head to SLO and we had never been to that library yet.

We also made our way through Costco.
