Atchooo!!!!

What great luck I have, 3 more days to the coming new year and i got the freaking flu. Been atchoo-ing non stop since two days ago. Argh!!!! I hate being sick. My whole body is cold and to top it off these past two days its been raining. So my room at night is like a freaking ice box and in the office it feels like a meat freezer. Sigh. Me and my luck.

I hate pills, hence i only pop panadol (only if really really no other choice). Am trying hard to beat this flu with my own antibody and not some antibiotics (allergic to them anyway) some doctor always recommends. Awk! even panadols are hard to swallow. Hate them pills.

Today my boss issue out a memo saying that no one is to take leave for the month of January, due to some urgent projects need to be handed out before the month is out next year. Gah!!... and i'm not even involved in those projects. My other colleagues are way overdue in their deadline so the whole office had to pay the price. Means even if i'm terribly sick i still gotta punch in. Unless i end up in the Hospital (palis palis touch wood) then i got excuse not to come in. Hai . . . I need to change job soon.

Awk! now my left nose is blocked. Excuse me for a sec. while i go get some tissue. . . . . SNOOOOORT!!!

HATE BEING SICK!

Locked Out!!

What a day to spend Boxing day. Me and four other colleague got locked out from the office after Lunch. haha so what did we do? Did we call the respective people with keys to help us out? NOOO of coz not silly. We went back down to have another drink. HAHAHAHAHAHA

I think we sat there at the Restaurant for an hour plus before the PA came back (she was late as well and also without keys . . . hehe) and called the boss and ask him whether he will come back to the office. Turns out Boss was in the office all the time! HAHAHAHAHA

He locked himself in and locked us out. hehehe funny boss. The PA said his face macam baru bangun one. So all in all we only worked like one and a half hour before or so before we punch out again. hehehe we all didn't mind being locked out one single bit. Should do it more often.

*5 more days to the new year! What's your New Year Resolution?*

The 300 Spartans!

Somebody Please get / find / steal / lend me this DVD title. The remake is coming out soon and i still haven't manage to find the blardy original version. What the Heck!? I'm such a wuss.

For those of you who are a little bit blur on the story here's the synopsis: Essentially true story of how Spartan king Leonidis led an extremely small army of Greek Soldiers (300 of them his personal body guards from Sparta) to hold off an invading Persian army more than 20 times as large. The actual heroism of those who stood (and ultimately died) with Leonidis helped shape the course of Western Civilization, allowing the Greek city states time to organize an army which repelled the Persians. Set in 480 BC.

ah . . . not really informative also lah the synopsis but . . . you get the picture. So . . . HELP!!!

I have been eyeing this comic ever since i first step foot in Kinokuniya. Didn't get it then cause no money. Now that i can get it online . . . hehe might as well get the whole volume yeah?

Just read the reviews on this comic. I WANT!

Found a browsing copy at Borders Times Square. Should have gone to the counter to ask for another copy, didn't think of it, probably because i was carrying the Absolute Watchmen comics. hahaha brain has temporarily shut down.

Friendly Advice.

Lots of people can't seem to grasp my addiction to comics. They would shake their heads in disbelief after knowing the amount i spent on my collections over the years. Have been collecting since the day that i could remember . . . haha of course the first ever comics that reaches my tiny hands back then was some unknown comics my mom bought from Singapore (wish i had them still, bet it would cost a fortune now on ebay).

I remember too when i was stuck in the hospital while waiting for surgery my mom would bring in new comics to distract my mind from the upcoming battle (nothing major lah only 10 stiches). I guess comics in a way, sort of an escape from this crude and harsh world. I'm able to fly into this majestic world of magic and power, blend with people of valor and honour, and have the courage to stand up for justice where justice is due. I guess that's why all my aunts and uncles all complain that i never seem to grow up, cause i'm stuck in a fantasy world . . . he he

That being said . . . I am getting my Absolute Sandman from Kinokuniya. whooo hoooo!!! yes i know it cost an arm and a leg, but its my arms and legs we are talking about not yours. hehe zar tried to talk some sense into me for 15mins and ask me to think about it again and again until i'm totally sure. he he i think she knows all that talk just goes out to the other ear and to my two nostrils and my mouth cause it only took me two seconds to think and then i bought it (online) MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH . . . sorry zar . . . yeah eva said i'm crazy too. he he but thanks for your advice anyways. Next time i try to listen.

"The Sandman is truly the cream of the crop when it comes to Vertigo books. Neil Gaiman's work on the series is considered legendary for a reason. This story, in its entirety, is every bit as good as Watchman and of equal (if not greater) literary merit. Were I to list the 100 best single comic-book issues I have ever read, three would come from this collection. Whether you have read The Sandman before or are a first timer, this is the one book you need to buy this fall. The stories within are magnificent and the care taken in reproducing Gaiman's work is the same you'd expect for any great work of literature. This is the stuff dreams are made of."

You see . . . after reading that article . . . how can i resist???
