TUTORIAL: KNITTING-STITCH MARKERS (PDX KNITIERATI; MICHELE LB))

If, if, if you have a knitting momma on your Mother's Day gift list, you  must create some of these markers for her.  I'll tell you, a knitter would do back flips to receive these gems.  The round markers (link is in the first line of the paragraph following the pictures) are beyond yummy too.

You can see how die cuts, images from coloring books, clip art downloads, or your original drawings also would be excellent to include in these framed pieces. I

If downloading images, print on the wrong side of the paper to eliminate tracing. When you get right down to it, this is the stuff grade school art teachers have been doing since the first crafts class was held in a classroom...except scrapbook paper rather than construction paper was/is the paper of choice.

TUTORIAL: COPIC SUBSTITUTES (JACQUIE, AFTER HOURS STAMPING)

Been wondering if you should break out the cash for a set of Copics? You just might want to check out Jacquie's blog before you mortgage the farm. I gotta admit, this method was the solution for me. I'm not that much into intricate coloring and blending , so spending an arm and a leg for markers just didn't fit my needs. However, I thought this was a fun, reasonably quick AND inexpensive way to go. Give it a try...you might like it.
