The Wedding Story

Mike's brother Patrick got married on Saturday...it was probably the funnest wedding I have ever been to..!! I don't normally love attending weddings...but going to a wedding with someone you actually like...that actually likes you back...is quite fun..!!

The bride, Sarah, is Jewish...& Patrick was raised Catholic. So...the ceremony was a mixture of both traditions...it sounds kinda funny...but it was actually quite nice. I have never been to a Jewish wedding before, but it was interesting to see and hear about the traditions that Sarah chose to have at the wedding.

Mike's older brother Sean married them...& he did a really nice job. He stood about 1/4 of the way down the aisle...so the bride & groom could stand facing the audience. The chairs were fanned out to make the aisle wide and to help everyone have a good view.

Sarah's dress was one of the prettiest dresses I have ever seen..!! I have known Sarah for almost a year and a half...and she has NEVER been heavy...but she has worked her butt off and looked absolutely amazing...her dress was gorgeous & she looked SO happy..!!

Mike & Patrick's friends have been in town most of the week and it's been really fun getting to know them all. Most of them I have met before, but it was nice to meet the ones I haven't met and to meet the out of town family that was here. (the pic is of me & Mike's best friend Brian)

I love to get all dressed up and get the chance to be "girly" for a change...so it was super fun to have a hot date dressed in a tux..!! All in all the wedding was great..!! The food was good...the ceremony was perfect...not too long...not too sappy...the dancing was fun...& it seemed to be a perfect day for the bride & groom.

For those of you who don't know...Richelle has the smartest and the most beautiful boys in this WORLD..!! Hello..!! Have you seen them..??


They are so smart and so sweet...I just can't get enough of them...especially when they accomplish amazing things...& then call me at work to brag...


So there I was...sitting at work...minding my own business...willing the clock to tick by faster...(I was riding the jail wagon...the worst job ever!!)...when I got a message on my phone...I checked it and low and behold the sweetest voice I have ever heard...the innocent little voice that makes every bad thing disappear...the one that says "I said I love you with my hands!!" That tiny little voice that when I have to leave says, "Please don't go!"



Or my all time favorite..."I lub you!!"


My little piece of perfection...my tiny hero...the one person that can make me smile just by the sound of his voice...left me a message that said he learned how to ride his bike without training wheels...at age 3...and...WITHOUT THE BALANCE BUDDY..!!




Of course I called him immediately to hear the story a second time...and of course I fell in love all over again..!! I thought about leaving work early...stealing him in his duckie jammies, grabbing George the monkey and making a run for the border...but since they come in a package of 3...I decided just to visit this weekend...

There's a book called "I'm the 3rd"...from what I've heard it means that God comes first...family comes second...and I come 3rd...

Well...I think my hormones must be outa wack this week or somethin'...I worked Saturday night so Mike could attend his brother's bachelor party...I love 3rd shift & it was fun to work with a squad full of friends...

The strange part is this: I went St. Joe's to help a clueless chick with a DUI that was transported to the emergency room...while I was there...I watched a 2 year old little boy...about Carsen's size...get wheeled into the trauma room because his parents decided it wasn't important for him to be buckled up...I watched his tiny body shake...while he was there all by himself...he wasn't shaking from the cold...but from trauma his little body sustained when he struck the asphalt head first after being ejected from the vehicle he was riding in...i unofficially talked to the emergency room staff...& learned the trauma his head sustained...would be permanent if he lived...

I also watched a woman die...litterally...she died in front of me...she was the unfortunate victim of road rage...I guess...road rage sounds good...the vehicle she was riding in was riddled with bullet holes...and....so was she...I've honestly never seen so much blood in my life...coming from her head...

Here's the thing: Normally (other than the child...because someone should pay for hurting him...maybe they should get to land on their head because of someone else's bad decision)...anywho...these normal bloody sightings don't phase me...but for some reason...i was bothered for this...the dead lady didn't stay with me past my drive home from work...but the small child...the one that reminded me of Carsen with...with permanent brain damage..won't leave my brain...he won't go away...

So there I was...begging my brain for sleep about 10am on Monday morning...when Nick banged on my bedroom door with some terrible news...

Around 0730 hours...a rookie Glendale cop was shot...he stopped a vehicle for fictitious plates...the VIN came back to a stolen vehicle...the front seat passenger jumped out & shot him...an Innocent 24 year old...still on probation...with a finance...

He died.

The sh$thead that did it...he was shot in the shoulder...he'll recover & be just fine...

This week...for at least 3 reasons...has been emotionally tolling...I normally sleep after the most horrifying of sights...but a dead cop...that hurts more than words can say...

And for what..?? Because some jack off didn't want to take responsibility for the actions he took when he decided to steal a car...

What is this world coming to..?? Does anyone know..?? How bad is it gonna get..?? How bad are we gonna let it get..?? I heard a man on the news to day say that he's been in Phoenix for 50 years and it's getting worse...he said someone should do something about it...

What the hell does that mean..?? We...the cops...are doing everything in their power to "do something about it." But we can't do it alone...why doesn't he get off his lazy butt, stop complaining about it, and do something about it...

It is gonna take more than just the police to make a difference...the problem...what can we do...as a public..?? What can we do together to make the problems better..?? I have no idea to be honest...

the big TWO SIX for NIck

So to day was Nick's b-day...the big TWO SIX for him this year..!! For those of you that don't know...Nick is my roommate...We've been friends since I went to Phoenix, but life changed for him a few months ago and he needed a place to stay. We both expected it to be temporary, but I love having him here so much I hope he stays forever..!!

Anywho...He didn't quite have the spoiled day of Derek, but I am also not his mother. We hung out for a big part of the day. He helped me get a bunch of stuff moved around and cleaned up. In the middle of that fun & excitement...we found my original Nintendo & all the games..!!

Nick got it all hooked & working in a matter of minutes..!! We did have to try a few tricks...the blowing on the game...the quick slamming motion...etc...(fellow Nintendo fans will understand)...

After my class & Nick's afternoon nap we went to Hooters for dinner...

Ok...so it's not the most exciting b-day...but how exciting is it to turn 26..?? Since I turned 26 nearly a year ago...I can tell you that it isn't exciting at all...

Well...The Nintendo is enough to throw just about anyone over the edge of excitement...

And that's all I have to say about that...

No Officers Were Injured

Phoenix has had two (2) officer involved shootings in two (2) days...they come in 3's...and so far no officer's have been injured.

Please pray for the law enforcement officers in your community...not because I'm your sister/friend/whatever...but because they go to work every day not knowing if they will come home to their families...because they do it to protect you & to protect your kids & to protect your way of life...& to protect your freedom....

Pray that they will make it home & pray that good will overcome the evils in this world...Pray that the 84 year old racists that kill innocent people for no other reason than pure hatred of someones skin color...will have to explain his actions & his pure hatred...

An industrial section of central Phoenix was shut down Sunday while investigators searched for at least one vehicle-theft suspect involved in a shooting with a police officer.Police swarmed the area near 19th Avenue and Grant Street after a sergeant shot one of the gunmen outside a Circle K.

It was unclear how many shots were fired.At least one other suspect fled and was at large as of 6 p.m.Police believe the gunmen stole a green van from an AM/PM convenience store at Seventh Avenue and Broadway Road around 2:20 p.m. The sergeant who would become involved in the shooting was on patrol when he spotted the van on 19th Avenue. The suspects crashed the van at the Circle K at Grant Street, and the shooting spilled over into the street shortly before 3 p.m.The wounded suspect was in police custody at a hospital, Detective Bob Ragsdale said. At least one gun was recovered at the scene."There was an armed confrontation with our sergeant, but the officer was not hit," Ragsdale said.Residents of the Sherman Park neighborhood huddled in the drizzling rain on 19th Avenue to watch the police search."I heard at least six shots," said Jack Sagarnaga, 21, who came out of his home with a pair of binoculars."It sounded like they (the officer and the suspects) were shooting at each other," he said.Phoenix SWAT officers and investigators searched for the missing gunman between Buckeye Road and Jefferson Street, east of Interstate 17 and west of 17th Avenue.

PHOENIX — Police killed an 84-year-old man Monday after he fatally shot his granddaughter and a teenage friend who was staying with the family, authorities said.
The shooting began after the suspect got into an argument with his 20-year-old grandson about the grandson's teenage friend, police said.
The gunman shot his grandson in the leg and fatally wounded the 16-year-old friend, according to investigators. He then shot and killed his 18-year-old granddaughter after she confronted him about the attack.
Police surrounded the suspect in the home where the shootings occurred. An officer opened fire after the man raised his gun, Detective Bob Ragsdale said.

A 10-year-old boy also came outside.The grandfather was shot multiple times after he refused at least three commands to drop his gun and then pointed it at an officer, Ragsdale said. Police said they weren't sure what triggered the shooting. Often, Ragsdale said, "the motive dies with the person."

Birthday Boy!

This was a crazy, busy weekend. My baby boy turned SEVEN! Where have the years gone? Friday morning started out with Grumpaw delivering chocolate long johns for Derek's entire class, followed by Burger King lunch delivery at school by mom and then cupcakes with his class and teacher, who actually shares a birthday with Derek. Friday night we experienced our first slumber party with 5 boys. Boy they eat a lot! We went to the skate park, which allows BMX bikes, and that was a huge surprise to Derek! We ate pizza, each boy decorated his own cake, played video games, had a pillow fight, told ghost stories and ate and ate and ate. The boys were all so good. Saturday morning mom woke and made a large homemade breakfast. Then we went to a rock climbing party for a couple of Derek's friends and had dinner at Derek's favorite Red Lobster. We enjoyed pie with Anth's parents and opened a couple gifts. Derek was spoiled with a new Tony Hawk skate board and new BMX gloves from his grandparents. Could anyone ask for a better birthday?

If they want (more) beer...they run into a Circle K...grab as much as they can carry...and run like hell..!!

They want more dope...they go into innocent people's homes and beat them, rape them, steal their possessions and their money & then run like hell...

If they want a new car...they steal one...they need a car to commit a crime in...they steal one...they want the 20" rims off the mom mobile...well...if they do...you will find your dream car up on blocks sitting in your driveway...

Illegal immigration is a problem..!! For people and business' like Desert Schools that want to profit off of America losing a tough battle...ta hell with 'em..!!

And for the record...I don't want to push a friggin' button to hear ANYTHING in English..!!! We are AMERICANS..!! We speak English...We work for our money...We flush the toilet paper in our indoor bathrooms...We send our kids to school...We don't wear alligator boots that match our alligator belt...We don't think it's OK to drink "ocho" or more beers & then drive to an unknown location because you only know your cross streets and can't find them because you can't even see straight...We pay for our beer (food)...& We don't beat/rape/kill people for drugs..!!

I LOVE PIZZA!

Today I was tired and PMSing so I needed a little pizza to make myself feel better. I have tried to order pizza for the last three weeks and I have been vetoed by the rest of the family. Today I was not giving in so I dialed up Sardellas and placed my order. We were outside with our nice, non-nosy neighbors so we invited them to have a tailgate party with us. I went inside and grabbed my purse and as I was driving out of the driveway, Tre told me he had a coupon for a free medium. He asked if I would get it for him. Being the nice neighbor that I am, I said yes. While he and his mom went in to grab the coupon I called Sardellas and added a medium FREE pizza. I waited and waited and there was no coupon to be found. I refused to call back a third time change the order. Needless to say, 9 of us enjoyed 2 large pizzas (8 extra slices), 1 medium (no extras) and 40 wings (21 extras). I felt much better and really enjoyed chatting with our friends. I love pizza, it heals the soul.

When they point the gun @ you...

Although I have NO idea what all cops are doing at any given time...(i know i know...how can one cop not know what every other cop is up to..??)...for example...when random DPS officers are doing high risk stops on the highway and I have been:

A) asleep for a couple of hours

and

B) working for a different agency for some length of time

...I would obviously have NO idea why this was happening...I can guess...it was probably a stolen vehicle or someone that failed to yield or they had info that whomever was driving the vehicle was a threat/dangerous blah blah blah...

(& for a quick side note...we pull out our guns a lot...it's normal...it happens almost everyday...and a lot of times we could/should shoot a lot of really stupid people that

A) Don't listen when we tell them to:
1. stop
2. put there hands up
3. drop the weapon
4. anything else...

and

B) Do stupid stuff like:
1. won't stop beating the crap out of the girlfriend that already has 2
black eyes & is bleeding from the mouth, nose, ears, etc...
2. hit us/spit on us 3. tell us to "F$&# OFF" when we tell them what to do...
3. Anything else...like pull knives, try to run us over, etc...

...but we opt to use other means to settle the situation...

But...when the GUN is pointed at you...(esp the one that goes on the end of a tank)...it's okay to

A) shoot back with your attached missiles on the James Bond conversion style suburban

or

B) call your prettiest sister and tell her that the Sheriff's department just pointed a very large weapon at the mom mobile sportin 20's..!! If your head gets nearly blown off because some jackass decides he'd rather blow his brains out...it's worth a phone call...

Because if it's for a good cause...phone calls can be made to find out what the hell is going on and why tanks are on the city streets...

Hopefully it was marked with a pretty picture of Sheriff Joe...everything else is (including the jail...yes the jail has pictures of the "great leader" on the walls)

Lastly...were you armed..?? We need to use that 2nd amendment right and bear arms...not that your Gloc can fight off a tank...but what if crazy suicide man gets lose..?? If he has a gun...he isn't afraid to use it...so blow his brains out for him...(he clearly needs to die if he ever points a gun at any cop or at any child that gets in his way...or you...)

Now THAT would be something the tax payers would be proud of..!!

p.s. Oh yeah...& Ryan...we never said you weren't a great dad...great and cheap have nothing to do with each other...(& I can't believe my Camaro landed you a wife (that actually likes you)...maybe that's what I am doing wrong...I need that Camaro back!!)
