Jackson LOVES getting anything in the mail! Even if Shawn gets a package for work, Jackson gets so excited! He especially loves getting "packulars" in the mail when they are for HIM! And let me tell you, his grandparents do not disappoint! Thanks to them, our mail-lady knows who we are! Here is Jackson when he got a package from Grandma and Grandpa ...

One day when Jackson was on the phone with Grandma, he asked her to send him a cake! We have no idea where that came from!!! So, of course, Grandma sent him a cake in the mail. She sent frosting, candles, and sprinkles! It was perfect! So, we had a little un-official birthday party for Jack! He absolutely LOVED it!!
We found one of the coolest parks ever! SEWARD PARK, in South Seattle. We found it by accident and fell in love with it! It's amazing! And because I want to catch-up on my blog, I'm not going to give you any details. You're welcome! :) Besides, the pictures speak for themselves. When Shawn first started on his project, they had people come in and take down A LOT of trees so they could clear a place for the new building. Shawn was always telling me how good it smelled there and I was always saying I was jealous and that I wanted to smell it. So, Shawn brought this home for me one day. I wish you could smell it through the computer, because let me tell ya ... it smelled sooooooo good!
Shawn and I celebrated our 8-YEAR ANNIVERSARY on March 15th! We were nerds and didn't even get a babysitter for the night. We just didn't really know anyone well enough at that time to ask anyone to watch Jackson for us. We decided it was okay to share our anniversary with our little guy. And it was! We went out for Mexican food and had a fun night!
The guy sitting at the table across from us kept talking to us (okay, mostly it was to Jackson) throughout the meal. We could tell he was missing his own children being Jackson's age. He kept telling us that it goes by so fast and before you know it, your kids are all grown up. As he was walking out he gave Jackson this $1 bill and told him to go buy a treat from the store. Jackson loved the dollar and tried putting it everywhere! It was great entertainment even though I'm pretty sure Jackson didn't eat another bite of his food after he got his dollar. :)
Jackson's first BUZZ-CUT! I did NOT want to do it but Shawn talked me into it! :) I always cut Shawn's hair so I just assumed that I would be cutting Jackson's too and I really didn't want to. I told Shawn that I didn't want to do it and he told me that was fine because he actually wanted to give his boy a buzz-cut! Hahaha! So, he did it and he did a great job! We didn't go very short at all for his first time but it still looked adorable! Here are some before pics!

Jackson was amazing during all of this ... much better than I thought he would be ... and Shawn would say he was much better behaved than ME! The ring pop helped to entertain him. I should have bought one for myself! :)

Jackson just adores all of his cousins and he misses them so much! He brought these rocks in from outside and asked me to write on them and MAIL them to his cousins!! Hahaha! One for Bella, one for Grant-boy, and one for Saley.

Hahaha! This picture makes me laugh so much every time I look at it! Jackson loves his animals and likes to line them up. I'm pretty sure he was watching Lion King at the time he did this.
