A Sunday Morning

She has be come attached to Carson's monkey. When we get her out of her crib she has monkey in one hand and her blankee in the other!

Aubrey is sooo big! We gave her some whipped cream, she daintily made a mess. Not like Carson who slapped the cream and made it fly everywhere!

All done.. once she rubbed it in her eye!!!

Well, we had a quiet Thanksgiving dinner here. Uncle Ralph brought by a coconut cream pie! YUMMY! We haven't even dug into the pumpkin and berry pies I made!

The turkey was too done and a tad dry, but flavorful. I injected it with lemon juice, tabasco, water and garlic salt. The potatos had frozen so didn't make very good mashed potatos. Otherwise the rest was great. I carmalized the onions before putting them in the dressing, so you'd get a sweet taste here and there. We played a bit of Train with Carson. Trying to get him ready for when Grammy and Grandpa and Great grandparent Gonces come up. There is usually a marathon game of Train (dominos) going on. Carson's fever is gone, but now Danny and I aren't feeling so great......I guess it is round 2 for us. Ugg.

Boo Hoo

Well, Carson's fever hasn't gone away, so we made arrangements for Roc and Diann Ahrens to host Thanksgiving. I am really bummed. But I still plan to do the dinner but just for us sickos. =-( Maybe next year!

Cure all

I guess chicken noodle soup is a cure all. Since Carson has had a fever for the last 3 days and hasn't been wanting to eat, I asked Nana what would be best to fix if he did decide to eat. This was her answer. He did eat more than he has in the last couple days and Aubrey ate 3 times as much as I expected! Hopefully Carson is on the mend. I will be bummed if he is still sick and we have to have someone else do Turkey day. I guess disappointments are good for us though. So we'll see!

Quick pumpkin decor....wrap a toilet paper roll with a fallish fat quarter. Insert sticks or cinammon sticks or twisted brown paper bag for stem!

with me and the kids a bit sick with colds, I didn't leave the house yesterday and got a bunch of sewing done. Most of my x-mas projects are done. I'll post them after x-mas so as not to spoil the suprises.

Aubrey and Arik Koverdan....Their older siblings (Carson and Ania) are 5 days apart. Aubrey is 6 weeks older than Arik. He is a cutie!

Carson wasn't quite big enough to pull her, but he sure tried!

Most of the snow is hardened and the road is mostly ice, so we won't be sledding again till there is more snow. The snowman melted and is a pile of frozen clothes. We'll resurrect him when we get fresh snow! It is cold and clear, wonder if the northern lights will be out?!? I'll have to check when Aubrey gets me up tonight.

get away!

We had a nice time in Juneau (4 1/2 hr ferry ride south) Nice to get to eat out at real resturants and to shop at Costco and Walmart and Fred Meyers! We don't do this very often so it is always nice to have a bigger selection to choose from. Now back to the small town. We are looking forward to having all the folks that are here for Turkey day...about 17 or so. I am probably crazy to try it with little ones, but oh well!

Sew around and clip corners, turn inside out and iron.

PS. does anyone else have trouble uploading photos? It took me several tries for each photo and about 40 min to make this post! I don't have the time to do that often! I think I will try it on Sat am and that may be my only time to blog. UGG!
