Singleness in a Growing Family

So I generally make it a point to not complain about my singleness because a) I truly believe complaining about it is not going to change the situation. And b) i don't feel any better after doing it. Tonight I thought I would share some thoughts I have had.
As many know I come from a big extended family that is really close. It is always great when we get together and that we enjoy doing so but sometimes it is hard as well. When I go to these events nearly every time I look around and see those who are younger then me who are married and are welcoming babies into their little families. I guess I have always thought or worked out in my head that everything follows an order and the order of marriage always started with the oldest and just worked down the line. But as life goes I have come to learn that is not so. Which is just fine. Sometimes watching these young families I wonder they look so happy but when is it going to be my turn? When I have my moments of doubt and I admit crying to my mom she is very good at pointing out women in the church who married in their later years to general authorities or who have yet to marry like Sheri Dew. Sheri Dew is a wonderful lady who has done a lot of good but, I DON'T WANT TO BE THE NEXT SHERI DEW!!!!
In the kindergarten class I work in I read a book to the class about this family of ducks and their duckings all hatch except one who hatches later then the rest. Then all the other ducks learn to fly before this duck . AS I was reading this book to the kids I wondered am I this duck? I know everyone has their own timing and it is their time for that stuff and it's not mine. But sometimes I think did I miss my time? It just requires a lot of faith everything will work out and in the Lords timing and not mine. And I will have my turn sometime but it will be at the time it is suppose to happen! At the end of the story I read to the kindergarten class the duck who is always behind is actually able to fly farther before the rest are able to.
And so my focus in life right now is to be happy where I am. I am happy to be where I am and will continue to work towards the goals I have. I have also been focussing on the blessings I have in my life, especially the blessing of great extended family who supports and loves everyone no matter what stage of life we are in!!!

Mormon Messages

Found this video tonight and thought i would share

I am so grateful for all the different websites that the church has put out to get our true beliefs out there. I don't share this with everyone but for some reason that i do not know February is usually a hard month for me. I think it has to do with I am ready for spring and the dark long nights sometimes feel like they are never going to end and what is technically the shortest month of the year feels like the longest month.
It has been better for the past couple of years and this year went pretty well although i did rejoice that the month was over. Well tonight for some reason I got the same feeling that i generally feel during February and decided to call it a night. I needed to get on the computer to do one thing and ended up going to mormon.org and watching several of the " I am a Mormon" videos and went on to look for the Mormon messages videos as well. I am so grateful for the spirit that has been brought into my room to help me feel my Heavenly Fathers love and not feel alone. I know that Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and what is going on in our lives and will support us as we go through life's trials. My name is Becca, I am a student, daughter, aunt and loved daughter of our Heavenly Father and I AM A MORMON!!!
