mid-autumn festival
Went to Shuian's house to celebrate Mid-Autmn Festival, actually just another excuse for us to meet up and celebrate Gabriel's birthday. LOL~ Thought of doing something different :P

When I was telling one of my friends that I was going to my friend's house to play lanterns and candles to celebrate mid-autumn festival, he was like: "oh boring~" haha~~~~

makan-ing... actually this pic, they are all PRETENDING to be natural... LOL~

But you know what, it's not about what we do, it's WHO we do it with. Frankly speaking, we didn't really play with candles and lanterns, we only used up not more than 10 lanterns and probably 2 packets of candles? We didn't light up lanterns and hang around the garden or what... We didn't have very great food for dinner as well, we only had pizzas, mooncakes and chinese tea? LOL~ But we had GREAT FUN!!! It's about the people we hang out with!

Pizza, Pasta, Chinese Tea & Mooncakes, a fusion of chinese and western food LOL

We celebrated Gabriel's birthday with mooncake! Yea, it's also a kind os cake right? haha~ and one candle for him! He's as perasan as he always is... When we were simply lighting up the candles, he was like: "oh now celebrate my birthday arh?" LMAO~!!! and alot more!!! But he's cute! and we just love him the way he is ;)

Seriously, I feel like the next time we must celebrate the birthdays more properly :P

We walked around Shuian's house with lanterns and we had to keep re-lighting the candles in the lanterns. Haha~ Everytime walking around Shuian's housing area is like some house exhibitions... cause there are really all nice and grand houses.

This is when I on the flash

And this is when i off the flash... You know what is it? It's a swimming pool!!!! LOL~~

We ate, we talked, we celebrated Gabriel's birthday, we played candles & lanterns, we walked around, we took pictures, we had a great time! Oh! and we learned a new word from Hua Chern! 'Pe Ce' in mandarin, derived from Hokkian 'Pik Cik'... Haha~ What kind of language is that?? LMAO~

Why did we still carry lanterns and walk around while we're not young for it anymore? Cause we LOA! "Lack of Attention"!!! haha~ While we were walking, one of Shuian's neighbours was like: "wah~ play lanterns arh? so fun!" We even asked his daughter to join us!

Actually, when we first graduated from high schools, we might want to try out many things that we couldn't do it while we're still under age. For example, go clubbing or drinking. Or what we might not have been exposed to previously. But when we slowly grow older, especially when we're reaching 20, we feel so old and then we want to do things that we can only do it when we're young, or you'll be laughed at for still doing it at such an old age. LOL~ So youngsters, treasure your youth and don't go too fast, enjoy your teenage time! My friend who said playing candles and lanterns is boring, apparently he's still too young, he has more time to waste than I do. LOL~

I wish we could do the same thing next year! Shall we? ;)

oh sexy... LOL~

Pineapple? LOL

Hua Chern's lantern is burnt!!! haha~

Defintely love this pic ;) <3

I do not only do latin dancing...
I started doing Latin Dancing since a year ago, I could still remember the date surprisingly, because that was during my exam period. It was 27th of July 2009, I attended my first class. Till now, it's been more than a year. Looking back to the 1 year, I think I've done quite a lot. I took part in 4 competitions, 2 Beginners, 4 Ladies Events. I did 6 performances for HELP's events, and I got the chance to get involved in a drama production because of dancing (though only a background dancer :p), I also took 1 dancing exam.

Seriously, it's only 1 year. I have only been doing latin dancing for 1 year, I personally think it's really short. But many people recognize me as 'the girl who dances latin'. Probably It's because I post many photo of my dancing events to facebook.

Many people have neglected the fact that I am also a tambourine dancer. Ok, it's not any common dance, it's a dance used in Church. Letz see this, I am still quite new in latin dancing, I don't call myself a latin dancer yet, I often say I do latin dancing only. But I call myself a tambourine dancer, not because I think I'm skilled in it, but I see myself as a dancer in God's kingdom, I wanna devote dancing to God. I wish to use dancing to worship God, I hope to worship God with my dancing.

Sometimes people recognize me more as 'a girl who does latin dancing', even people in the church. Well, I can understand people who are not from my church wouldn't know I am a tambourine dancer, but how about people from the church? They would have known that I also dance tambourine, and I started it even before Latin!

It seems like I have to announce and declare it once again, I AM A TAMBOURINE DANCER!!!

Well, after all, I sure know I wasn't doing a good job in tambourine dancing. The first time I got into tambourine dancing was like 9-10 years ago? When I was 11, if I'm not mistaken, in Assembly of God. I picked up some basics there, then soon I stopped cause I wasn't going to church anymore. In 2007, I started it again in Emmanuel Church, there I learnt more steps instead of just basics. Until 2008, when I left Emmanuel, I went to FCC, and I wanted to continue, so I joined the tambourine team. From there, I learnt even more advanced steps, well as compared to what I learnt previously I mean... still not very advanced, just more varieties.

Due to some issues, I stopped dancing tambourine in the church since 2009. Then I put in all my time for latin dancing. But I still dance tambourine occasionally. I actually miss tambourine dancing. Really... it's been almost 1 year I stopped. I always want to continue. I wanna continue to worship God with dancing, with what I have, with what God has given me. Everytime when we do praise and worship in sunday service, instead of just singing, I always feel like worshipping with dancing too. I wanna worship God with everything I have! I can feel that I've started to forget some of the steps... I can feel that I can't dance tambourine like how I did last time. I really wanna start doing it again!!!

Tambourine, I miss you!!!! >.<

Traditional dance by the tambourine team in FCC

we in our dancing costume... can't find any photo of me dancing tambourine yet, but I promise soon I'll have at least one!!!

My tambourine ;) I actually have two sets of ribbons, but I'm thinking to DIY another one :P

OutBac Broga Retreat
We went to OutBac Broga at Semenyih, it was an outdoor adventure campsite. Though not very big, but it's worth going. All the facilities and activities there are great. The committee of Anglican Central Archdeaconry Chinese Speaking Youth Fellowship (wow what a long title~) organized this trip, as a retreat and also fellowship. Realizing that the bonding among the committees is not strong enough, we decided to have this trip which was not even 24 hrs long. LOL~ But I think it was enough for us to have much fun and fellowship.

Seriously, it's been almost 10 months working with this group of committees, but everytime we come for meeting, we discuss the important matters and then we leave. Then when the next meeting comes, we do the same thing again. We did not really have a good relationship that's neccessary to work together in God's kingdom. We are not any organization, we are bro and sis in Christ.

But this trip brought all of us together, getting to know each other more and creating the bond. I really felt good spending time together with them in this trip. It was so relaxing and carefree. All of us came together with an open heart. Especially when we were sitting down and singing the song of praise together, I could feel the stream of joy and peace flowing in my heart. It's been sometime since I last had this kind of fellowship with other bro and sis in Christ.

Though I experienced body aching while doing some of the more aggressive sports due to the car accident few days ago, but they were so caring and looked after me very often. Thank you so much!!!

The experience was so undescribable. All I can say is I enjoyed the trip so much and I wish we could have more of that. Thanks God for bringing us together and giving us such a good trip :D

my face was wounded, thus throughout the camp, I kept covering the wound on my face when there's camera :P and Eddy couldn't miss the chance to make fun of me >.<
BBQ time!!!

Then fellowship time... If you notice, yea, I was trying to cover my wound again, and again Eddy imitated my action >.<
These camp rules are fun... Guys are not allowed to stand and pee... LOL

Team building game

Last group photo before we leave :D

car accident again
Last night I had a car accident at KESAS Highway. My face and knee are wounded, chest, neck and back are injured. But Thanks God, nothing more than that. Doctor said it will take 2 weeks to recover. At the moment, I can't laugh too hard, or I'll feel great pain in the chest. Breathing and coughing give me the pain too.

My car is perfectly ok, don't worry. Cause I wasn't driving... Haha~ It's actually my friend driving and the car was really serious. Hope everything will be fine.

I have to cancel a lot of activities. Tonight and Tmr night I'm supposed to have dancing lessons, then Thursday and Friday I have to attend a camp, Next Tuesday I have to do a dancing performance. All the aggresive sports... I really don't know how to handle it...

But I'm feeling better after taking the pain killers. No worries :D

just update
Quite alot to update actually...

Reanne's farewell party, Crystal Dancesport and HELP performance... I believe you can see all the pictures in my facebook. So no point I upload again? Though I normally do... LOL~ Ok yea, admit it, I'm just too lazy...

Reanne's farewell party was a success, she was indeed surprised. It was a fun and memorable night, hope she enjoyed it. What her dad had done for her was great. To be frank, for my entire life I have never expected or desired any fatherly love, but for once in the party, I felt touched by the love and care from her dad for her and even envied for that. That really showed how loving is Reanne's father.

I joined 8th Crystal Dancesport Championships 2010. My fourth competition, fourth ladies event but second beginners. I was hoping to enter at least final for beginners, unfortunately I didn't make it. Rumba, Samba and Paso Doble died in first round, Jive I still managed to enter 2nd round, Cha-Cha only got into Semi-final. I was a little disappointed with myself, should have worked harder. But it's ok, it's only my second time joining beginners, some more this competition was really a big one. Thanks God, I got 2nd in Ladies Event. But I knew it was luck, not that I really deserved it. Anyway, it's my last competition with Reanne, hope our result was enough to give her a good memories. Tow Guan and I still have a long way to go... haha~ Seriously, I think I'm too used to victory (generally), thus when I fail, I would get disappointed. Though not very badly, but I think I should have taken failures more easily. Well, it's ok! I know I can take whatever that comes :D

Oh and the HELP Merdeka Celebration Performance? When it was about time, we still couldn't see a single audience. haha~ Then we went to have dinner first, half way Jovita called and said it's our turn to perform! We rushed back to do the performance. It was funny because I did the guy step. I bet not many people have seen a lady-lady couple before in a show dance performance. I tried doing stunts and all that. Very good experience for me :) Among all the performers, only me and Aevent were a lil more experienced in dancing, the others were super new and raw. Hope we could do better next time.

Hmmm... let me see what else... oh yea, Max's farewell party and Royce's birthday. They had them two nights in a row, seriously it exhausted me so much. On friday night, we had a surprise farewell party for Max in a private K-room like that, owned by Thomas' family. We ate, we drank, we sang songs, we danced. We had fun till 4am ++? Then I went back home and slept at around 5am, until the next day 4pm. haha~ Woke up, ate something, got myself prepared and went for Royce's birthday again. That was crazy! Dinner in KL, then went to have a drink in a bistro in Sunway, then McD. I was having really serious flu, but I didn't wanna miss the fun. LOL~ yes, young and playful, that's me :P

Tmr gotta attend Ms Winnie class again, which is well-known for hard to catch up. Today I had a nap till 9pm++, woke up and felt like eating something. I text-ed so many ppl, it ended up no one could come out, so I stayed at home and makan sendiri. LMAO~ I better go take a rest, I have been sleeping real late recently. New sem is started, should get myself back on track again.

Till then... c'ya ^^
