Scooby Dooby Doo!!

The annual Halloween Party is always fun. This year we decided we would be the Scooby Doo Detective Agency. By themselves, the costumes aren't too fun, but as a group I think it is quite cute.

New Wallpaper

So . . . we decided to wallpaper our walls! Okay, so maybe we didn't decide, but our creative son has decided. Actually, it is getting quite out of hand. Every time we go to bed at night, there are more and more pictures. He has also now started in his room as well. Mostly the pictures are of people, houses and hearts (which I have to make). Maybe it is all the HGTV he watches (okay, so I am the one watching the show) - the inner designer coming out.

Please do not pay attention to my pile of returns on the floor (some things never do change).

A Favorite Moment from the Past

So I was taking a rest one day while I was in my last phase of pregnancy with James (this happened awhile ago, but thought it was definitely worth sharing). Sam was at her friends house. I took a little snooze on the couch while Ben was playing. When I woke up, I didn't know where Ben was. I started yelling his name - panick running through my body. Then I heard an answer come from the kitchen. I went in to check and found him dead asleep against the recycle bin. He was out! My favorite was the plate of treats he had sneaked and ended up falling asleep somewhere in the process. These are the moments when you wish you had a video recorder to see how this happened.

I'm Sailing!

So, we are trying to cross off all of our things to do before we leave San Francisco list. Sailing was top on Steve's. It was a beautiful day in San Fran and so we took the opportunity.

Crawling already!

This is just not fair! Babies are not supposed to crawl at 6 months (especially when brother and sister do not clean up after themselves). Although it is just a commando crawl - he can get anywhere he wants to. He especially likes cords and paper.

Look what I did

Okay, for those of you who know how untalented I am with a sewing machine - I had to show you what I made! It is a baby sling to carry James around in. I have to admit - I am pretty proud of myself. The sewing machine does not seem so scary to me anymore. I did have a lot of help though - alot!

Finally - we make it to Yosemite!

So, after our fun adventures at Disneyland we headed off to Yosemite. The day taveling to Yosemite may have been one of the worst days ever. You should have seen our car - it was packed. Then we had to stop to get some food for camping and so the rest of the trip we were driving with the food on our laps. The kids were packed in the back. As we were approaching the gates of Yosemite, Ben threw up everywhere!!! Yuck! Steve started to pull over, but we decided to wait until we got to our campsite because we couldn't even get into the back where he was - we would have to pull everything out of the car. So, we rolled down the windows and anxiously drove to our campsite. We finally show up and Steve looks on the window to see our name on the incoming arrivals. He didn't see our name, but I assured him to just go ahead. Well, we reach our campsite and somebody else is in it. I am about ready to get out and chew somebody out, but first I pulled out our reservation info. We showed up a week ahead of schedule (don't ask me how that happened)!! I was honestly annoyed. Remember, our car was full of throw up and it was getting late - it had been a long day. So we decide to go to the condos where Steve's parents are staying (which took us forever to find and we had to double back for an hour after we had already come). Anyway, we got a place to stay for the night and ended up staying there for the rest of the time, which was nice because it snowed while we were there. So, after a long trip in getting there, it ended up being really fun. I was able to read Eclipse which ihad just come out from the Twilight series. We did some hiking and just took it easy.

An Emergency Trip to Disneyland

Well, for the two week break, we thought we would take a trip to Yosemite. We were very excited. Steve's parents were going to meet us there and Steve and his dad were planning on hiking half-dome. On Sunday we made a last minute decision and decided a trip to Disneyland needed to be added to the list. So we packed up our things (for Disneyland and camping) in a couple of hours and headed off.

First Day of School

Here is my baby - off to school! I can't believe it! I feel like I have raised her and now I am sending her off to the world. Hopefully, I have taught her well.
