Fun Times at Legoland!

So, since we've heard such great things about Legoland, we decided to take Beckett (...and Skylee). Oh what fun it was...better than Disneyland for sure. We went on a Friday and we pretty much felt like we were the only ones in the park. Needless to say that Beckett had loads of fun and we'll probably be going back there again. Sam and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Beckett having so much fun.

Funny story, our good friend, Lindsay, lives in Laguna Niguel. Well since Legoland is close by, we stayed with her. Since her house isn't very "kid proof," we took some of Beckett's toys to keep him occupied. On the ride there, he insisted on holding his Car toy set, which is what you see pictured below. About 30 min. into the drive, he fell asleep and when I tried to take the toy off of his lap, he woke up and wanted it back there...lol.






We had to make sure that we got a picture of the kids with "Santa" since he may be the only Santa that we see this Christmas.

Beckett's 4 year stats...

40 lbs and 40 inches (95 percentile for both)

AND

Skylee's 4 months stats...

17 lbs 7 oz and 26 inches (95 percentile for height and off the charts for weight)

Boy oh boy do I have a little chunker on my hands! I looked up Beckett's stats for 4 months and he was 17 lbs, but was an inch and a half taller, which explains why Skylee has lots of rolls and Beckett didn't. Not only is Skylee growing like a weed, but she continues to sleep through the night (10-12 hours) like Beckett did. I have been VERY blessed with good little sleepers! She smiles all the time, loves to "talk", and has even started giggling. Beckett recently sang his ABCs all the way through by himself. He is also 100% potty trained, even at night. Everyone said that it would happen overnight...that everything would just click with him one day and it most definitely did! I love my kids, I love being a Mom, and I love being home more with them (I went back to working 12 hours shifts, 1-2 a week).

In case you were wondering, yes I made Beckett's robot costume (many many hours went into it) and yes, his arms at one point went into the robot arms (dryer tubing) but that lasted about 10 min. I was pretty impressed with myself on making this one...it turned out awesome!

Skylee's Special Day 10/10/10

Skylee was blessed today by her Daddy. It was such a sweet, tender blessing. I bought her dress before she was even born, not realizing that she was going to grow as fast as she has, but I somehow managed to fit her in it. She looked adorable in it too, I must add. We had lots of family from both sides there for the special occasion and are so thankful for their love and support!

train + beach = FUN

Metrolink has an awesome weekend family deal... 4 tickets, all day use, for only $29 ...so we wanted to take advantage of it. This past weekend we took a train ride down to San Clemente to hang out at the beach for the day. Beckett is fascinated with trains so he was in heaven. We met my sister, Ashley, and friend, Lindsay, down there. The weather was perfect, the waves were huge, and we even got to eat Cafe Rio for lunch! Here are some pictures of our fun adventure...

Skylee had her first haircut the other day, given by her Daddy...or should I say her first buzz!?! I can't stand the patchy hairdo thingy, so it had to go. She's so cute with her little fuzzy head now!

My little Skylee has spent 2 of her 8 weeks of life camping at San Elijo State Beach...and she did great! I SO wish we lived closer to the beach!!!

Gotta watch what I say...

The other day Beckett tells me that he wants to draw a picture. So, I get him a piece of paper and a pen and tell him to "draw his hand." A few minutes later I checked to see how the picture of his hand was coming along and this is what I saw... I couldn't help but laugh!

...He must have thought I said "draw on your hand." I love this kid!

Beckett loves his baby sister!

Today was Skylee's 2 week check-up and the little chunker now weighs 9lbs. 10oz! My doctor summed it up as... "now that's what I call effective breastfeeding."

Welcome Baby Skylee!

She made her grand arrival on 7-10-10 at 5:09pm weighing in at 7lbs 10oz, and was 20.75in long. Everyone has been asking me if she looks like Beckett, so I pulled up a picture of when he was born and to my amazement...they look A LOT alike.
