Do you smell cheese?

I was trying to get the house back in order before heading out to a baby shower.  I was upstairs doing laundry and had just started a load.  I went into the hall and smelled a weird sort of cheese smell.  I went into my room and the smell went away.  I thought that was odd.  But in my busy state I was trying hard to finish getting laundry done. 

About 10 minutes later, Ben comes up.  “Umm mommy….Eli is downstairs spraying parmesan cheese everywhere.”

Yes, the weird cheese smell was parmesan cheese.  Which now covered pretty much my entire wood floor.  From the front door, across the wood path, throughout the kitchen and dining room.  And let me tell you that stuff is hard to sweep up.  Just moist enough it sticks the broom, but fine enough that it is hard to get it all.

Christmas 2010

Well obviously I’m still catching up.  So here was our last Christmas brought to you in March. 

Starting with the “RUN” to the presents!

This may be as close as Sariah ever gets to a real pet.  Sad I know!

I have started the new pj tradition.  So each year we try to get new and fun pjs.  This is the one present we get to open on Christmas Eve.  I must say that I think Ben’s were the cutest this year!  I especially love the part where they say “I ate Santa’s Cookies.”

Sariah took the biggest present award this year.  Santa was quite the big spender this year getting her a complete set of Princess Barbie Dolls. 

My momma was there to celebrate the day with us.  After presents, she started texting everyone Merry Christmas.  She’s so techy! 

And since mom was there, we were able to get some great morning family photos!

And now for what we truly look like in the morning!

The fort

Okay first of all I need to get better at staying up to date otherwise everything on my blog is out of order.  Hmm will I ever stay ahead. Probably not but at least I am still posting so let’s just pretend that I post on time. 

The following is from Feb 24, 2011

I’ve decided I don’t have very good fort making skills.  Thankfully my children are small and don’t really know what a good fort is .  So this little one off the edge of table was good for them. 

All three of us had fun climbing in together.  Although I could not get a picture of that.

The Missions

James’ dad took us around to a couple of the old Catholic Missions in CA.  He knows a lot about the history of them and used to take James and his siblings to them anytime they visited CA together.  So it was a fun day to do together.

 

Sariah LOVES fountains, so this is where she spent most of her time.

 

The little details and the beautiful architecture caught me.

We had to put Ben in Sariah’s coat because he soaked through one of his shirts with his bottle.

Halloween fun

So yes I'm posting my pictures of our Halloween craft in July. That is just the kinda girl I am...

I got 4 of the mini pumpkins and we made a night of it. We decorated one for each of us.

New moves

So Ben's got a new move these days. Okay really he only did it once yesterday but still he did it! And he did it when I had the camera in hand no less. He pulled himself all the way to standing...

And what was so tempting to cause him to do this new move.... well sissy was downstairs and her glorious princess dolls where out on the table...

Apparently Belle tastes really yummy!
