The Oldroyd Family

Hannah Lynn had her first bath at home today! She loved it and was so calm. She also had her first pediatrician visit. She's back up to 6 lbs. 8 oz.! She is perfect!

It's almost the end! I saw Dr. Adam last Thursday and I'm starting to spill protein and swell a little. But my BP is good! So we'll see what happens when I see her this Thursday. We may have to deliver early! I have mixed feelings about that because I really wanted to make it to 39 weeks, and my parents can't come until the 14th. But Sam is worried about my kidneys. So we'll see. Baby girl was 6.5 lbs last week. Even if she comes this week, she'll probably be about 7 lbs! Me on the other hand... I've gained 40 lbs! I have 5 lbs to go to be where I was with my other deliveries. Let's see if I get there! :)

Max is 6! We celebrated (both Sam & Max) last night at Grandpa & Grandma's house with the cousins. Max got some fun stuff! A new backpack, a remote control tank with army men, a lacrosse stick, a remote control helicopter, and other fun toys! We celebrated Sam turning 38 and Max turning 6 with an ice cream cake and donut pyramid! Earlier yesterday, Sam fulfilled Max's birthday wish I checked him out of school to go to Katy Mills Mall and play at the arcade. Max was one happy guy to have one-on-one time with daddy! Here's the birthday boy on his way to school. I can't believe he's 6! Stats from his Well-Check Height: 49" (96th%)  Weight: 48 lbs (66th%) Sam checked the kids out of school at 10am and took them camping for the night! They went to Garner State Park, which is more than 4 hours away. But they had a blast!

Lincoln had his first dentist visit today. He doesn't look too happy about it in the pictures, but he really did great! His teeth are spread apart, so much that I thought he was missing a lateral tooth, but the dentist says they're all there and looking good! We have about a year to get rid of the Binky... not looking forward to that!

I was 35 weeks on Sunday! It's definitely nearing the end. I'm getting huge and tired! I've also had a lot of back issues that is making it really difficult to get things done.  I had a doctor appointment today and she's 5 lbs 13 oz! Right about 50th%. I can't wait until she's here!

No school today and the weather was lovely. We went to Lupe Tortilla for lunch and after Lincoln's nap, we played at the park! It was fun having Elsa with us. What a great day!

Here's Mr. Lincoln in his happy place. He's not only watching the garbage truck drive down the street, but he's doing it with Grandpa John! Mondays are the best when I have a doctor's appointment. Linc gets to see the recycling and garbage trucks pick up early at our house, then he can see at least one of them at Grandma & Grandpa's! Little boy heaven! I also just love his new thing - putting his hands on his hips. He is 22 months old today and could not be any more fun than he is!

All 3 dogs have their spots for when I nap on the couch. No matter where they are in the house, when I lie down, they come running and settle in. Pepper behind my knees, Roxy on my side, and Hank in front of me. I love it!

Grandma came for the weekend and we're so excited to have her here! The kids have today off for Good Friday, so we couldn't pass up a chance to eat at our favorite place, Lupe Tortilla!

You know what they say about quiet toddlers... Lincoln and I were FaceTiming Grandpa and Grandma when he wandered away to play. I noticed that I hadn't heard from him in a while, so I went to check it out and this is what I found! So pretty, Lincoln!

My kids truly do have the best grandparents in the world - on both sides! Today, Grandpa and Grandma Oldroyd took all 4 of them to Brazos Bend. They got to see alligators (even pet a baby alligator!), explore, play and get really dirty. They had a blast! I loved hearing about their adventures when they got home. When I asked Lincoln if he had a good day, he said, "Yah! Papa!" The kid sure loves his grandpas!

These two have really been bonding lately... mostly over football. I think Max wised up and realized that if he wanted his big brother to play with him, Max was going to have to learn to love football almost  as much as Nathan does! We went to the library this week and 5/6 books these boys picked were history books about various NFL teams. They love playing football video games together and getting dressed up in their football uniforms and playing outside. Nathan has been a great big brother this week (Spring Break) but using their 20 minute daily reading time to read to Max, and then for the last 5 minutes, letting Max read his own books to Nathan. These two can sure get on each other's nerves, but I love seeing the bond they're forming and really becoming good friends!

It's always a good day when I get to spend some time with Max at school! On March 1st I got to volunteer for teacher time out, where parents volunteer to do recess and lunch duty to give teachers a break. I loved surprising Max and he was happy to have mom there with him! Kindergartners are hilarious - they were AMAZED by my big belly and asked a lot of questions. It was so fun! Here is my good citizen with his Student of the Month award for March! So proud of you, Max! And lastly, today was Go Texas Day and Max had the Kindergarten Rodeo Parade. He makes such a handsome cowboy! I love this kid. School has not always been his favorite, but he is learning to love it and does really well there. His teacher loves him and he has a lot of friends! I love seeing how he learns and grows now that he's in school.

I love everything about this boy. He is so much fun to hang out with every day! He is silly and almost always a happy camper. And when he's not happy, he's easy to make happy! I am so grateful for this baby boy. He is a joy in our family!

Lincoln has found his true love - garbage trucks. He loves standing out on the porch and waving to the garbage men each Monday and Thursday morning. He also would watch YouTube Kids videos of garbage truck for hours a day if I'd let him! I can bribe him to do almost anything if I tell him he can watch his videos. He is one funny boy and I can't get enough of him!

Yesterday was a fun day! I pulled the kids out of school and surprised them with a trip to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.  It was military day at the Rodeo! The kids got to climb in a real Army tank.  We spent most of the time at the carnival. The kids all loved the fun rides and games! Then we headed to the livestock show. The kids planed sunflower seeds, saw the mama and baby animals in the birthing center, and the highlight was the petting zoo. We definitely wore Lincoln (and mom) out! It was a fun day. Can't wait to do it again next year... with FIVE kids!

3rd Trimester, here we come! This is the first belly shot I've taken for this pregnancy, but I had to get some documentation! As usual, I feel huge and can't imagine being pregnant for 11 more weeks and gaining weight for 11 more weeks! I've gained about 30 lbs, so it looks like I'm right on track to gain as much as I have with the others.  But I'm feeling pretty good, so that's the good news! Nesting is starting to set in and I've gotten a lot done this last week. Like it did with Lincoln, my tailbone area hurts a lot when I've overdone it, but I've started seeing the chiropractor again and that helps. I'm feeling pretty impatient and just want her here! But I've still got a lot to do before she comes. I'm really enjoying my last pregnancy as much as I can. I know mid-May will be here before I know it! And here's the comparison shot for all 4 pregnancies!

Nothing like snuggling up on the couch and watching YouTube videos of dump truck and puppies with babies with your big brother!

Lincoln LOVES to brush his teeth. I'm taking advantage of his obsession to keep him occupied while I'm getting ready for the day. He's pretty darn cute!

Nathan and Alexa made George Washington and Abraham Lincoln for their President Project at school. They also had to do research about their President's life and give an oral report to their class. They loved it!

Baby girl is growing great! This is a picture of her waving. She's about 1 lb. 15 oz. and in the 43rd%. Just 3 more months to go until we get to meet her! I am still feeling pretty good but definitely slowing down. My reflux hasn't been as bad but I just feel huge and uncomfortable already. I think it might be a long 3 months!

We've had some fun Kindergarten projects in the past couple of weeks.  First was his 100th day of school project. A little monster for my little monster! Next came a Valentine's box. Nathan & Alexa have never had to make these, so I was pretty excited when Max came home with this assignment. I loved making these when I was in Elementary School each year! We settled on a shark and with a little help from Pinterest, this is what we came up with. It was one cool shark, sure to eat lots of Valentines!

I decided that in my new house, we would have wreaths. I made my first one for Autumn at Jenae's in October. For Valentine's, it was my turn to host! It was such a fun night with yummy snacks (chocolate themed of course), fun friends, and wreaths!

It was the purple party today and this is how Max came home. I can't even talk to him without laughing! I love this kid and his silly personality. He loves to have fun!

We didn't make it in to Dr. McDavitt for LJO's 18-mo well check until today. Here are Lincoln's stats: Weight: 23 lbs. Is a busy boy and gets into everything Has always been a great sleeper, but separation anxiety has hit hard and he now needs Mom or Dad to sit in the room with him while he falls asleep. We're working on that! Has gained no wait since before his 1st bday. He keeps growing taller though! We love his little pot belly. We have a darling new neighbor named Alicia, and she has a hobby of fostering puppies! This litter was just a few weeks old and their mom needed surgery. Alicia had 2 that she let the kids and I hold & feed bottles to. It was a dream come true for some animal lovers! I think I see foster puppies in my future!
