San Diego

After a few days in Anaheim we drove the couple of hours to San Diego where we were able to enjoy the beach and Sea World. Olivia found that life doesn't get much better than sitting on the beach eating Dorritos with a swim diaper on your head!





We're not entirely sure how many starfish Sea World lost on the day that Olivia decided to visit since she thought that the best way to put them back into the touch pool was with a quick throw!

Disneyland

This June we decided to grant our children's wishes and take them to Disneyland. The experience was all a little overwhelming for Olivia who was scared to death of all the people running around in costumes. I think that next time will be better! Thomas had a great time though. He wanted to ride every ride that he was tall enough for and found the Buzz Lightyear Astroblaster ride to be his personal favorite. We were on the go from morning till night and only wished that we had been able to spend one more day!

It's always quite difficult being able to resist those silly hats!

Mount St. Helens

We took a trip up to Mount St. Helens, the site of the 1980 eruption.

Deception Pass and Oak Harbor

The Rasmussen family descended upon us for another summer vacation and so we thought that we better entertain them a little although they were mainly here for the free dental work!
We decided to take a trip an hour or so north of Seattle to a place called Deception Pass which has some beautiful views.





We then stopped off at Oak Harbor for a picnic, rock skimming, and some time to stretch our legs before the drive home. It was a little chilly but worth the drive.
