Well the past couple of days our Family Dog Shilo has been less active and has not been eating her food. She laid on her pillow and would not move. Even to get her outside to use the bathroom was a chore. I called the vet on Saturday and told them of her condition and they told me to watch her until Monday and if she didn't get better to bring her in.
This morning I woke up at 3:30 am to check on her. I got to her pillow and discovered that our faithful pet had passed away. I'm still trying to rid my mind of the image of her when I discovered her. I woke Stephanie up and told her of the news, we were both shocked and saddened that she had passed away. We placed Shilo in the back of the truck and took her to the animal shelter with the help of my Dad and Brother. Her body was taken by the animal services people to be disposed of.
Kaleb woke up looking for Shilo and went to her pillow. Kaleb loved Shilo and especially loved throwing his food on the ground to watch Shilo eat it. Kaleb enjoyed pulling on her tail and climbing all over her. Shilo was extremely good with Kaleb. She loved playing fetch with Kaleb.
Shilo, Kaleb loves you and will miss you.
My Brother Todd got Shilo while I was serving my mission from 2000-2002 in Chicago. I took ownership of Shilo in 2004. Shilo was 10 years old and lived a good life.
