Ashton's Birthday Party

Ashton's birthday was in January, but it is HARD to entertain boys indoors.  So we waited until June and watched the weather forecast for a hot afternoon to host a water fight party.  This was his invitation:

I LOVED this party.  We set up barricade boxes that they could hide behind.  We got a bunch of coiled Velcro strips to measure and cut pieces off to wrap around their wastes.  They stuck squirt guns and water balloon sling shots in that.  We provided cheap party squirt guns and sling shots and had a ton of water balloons filled for them.  They were asked to bring water guns.  The boys were on teams.  We used the soccer goals for team base and gave each team a kiddie pool full of water to fill their weapons with.  They were so fun to watch.  An absolute blast.  I couldn't leave any pictures out of this post because they all made me smile.

Random Early Summer Pics

Our friends own a bouncy house company and they threw a free neighborhood party with one of them and invited us over.  So cool of them.  It gets hard to find things to entertain the kids with in the summer in a small town. 

This was a pic from Ashton's YMCA basketball camp.  His friend, James, carpooled with us every other day to the YMCA in Eagle for it.  It was 5 week days and he loved it.  He had a really cool counselor/coach that paid him a lot of compliments to me.

Had a girls night up at Rachel's Cabin in Council and took a hike up to Warm Springs.  I tried to slide down the natural water slide (algae covered rock in the warm spring), but it was filled with little leaches.  After taking them all off of my legs once, I was done!  But it was a fun slide!

I snapped these of one of our summer electrical storms.  Kind of fun.  You never know where to point the camera!  And you have to take a lot of shots in hopes to catch a lightening bolt.
