K.J. spoke in church last Sunday so he was sitting on the stand. In the middle of Sacrament meeting (after K.J.'s talk) Eva stood up on the pew, waved her hands above her head and yelled, "YAY DADDY!!" Hey, she's a supportive daughter. And K.J. did a good job. :)

Yesterday, went a little something like this:

Eva's apple juice runs out. . ."Dang it, Mommy, Dang it!"

Eva drops her baby doll. . ."Dang it, Mommy, Dang it!"

Oops, my bad. I guess I learned my lesson. :)

Random Rantings

I'm going to be 26 tomorrow! That means I'll be closer to 30 than I am to 20. Weird.

Eva went potty (#1) on the bathroom floor today. I said, "Eeek, we don't go potty on the floor!!" She looked at me like "Oops, sorry mom, I can't control it." I was planning to mop the bathroom floor. I guess now I HAVE to!

I took Eva to the library to check out books. She didn't really care about READING the books, she just wanted to pull as many as she could off the shelves onto the floor. It was hard to keep track of where the books were supposed to go. I feel bad for the poor librarian who has to reorganize the books I put back in the wrong place.

KJ has been gone all day. For his work he goes to Republican conventions throughout Utah. Today he had one in Nephi. We miss him when he's gone.

I washed our sheets today. As I went to put them on the bed I knocked over my cup of Diet Coke and it spilled all over my freshly washed sheets. Bummer. Now I'm waiting for them to be rewashed before I can go to bed.

Eva knows some really random words. She has recently added socks, princess, stuck and oh well to her repertoire.

We celebrated Earth Day by recycling water bottles at the Disney Store and empty make-up containers at the MAC counter. We got a hat and a new lipstick in return. Did you know that if you take 6 empty MAC containers to the the MAC counter, you get a free lipstick? You do. And it can be on any day, not just Earth Day!

Well, that's enough randomness for one night. Now I'm off to clean the bathroom and then paint crafts while I watch Everybody Loves Raymond! Goodnight!

Double Dose of Disney and an Easter Dress

On our way home we stopped in Palm Desert to have "brunch" with Grandpa Herb & Grandma Susan. It was Grandpa's 85th birthday!

We took 2 trips to Disneyland! The first one we went with our friends Matt & Lecia and their little girl Kennedy. The second was with my family. We had to use our annual passes before they expire in May! We also got to visit our favorite LA Thai restaurant, It's Thai and see our old summer 2009 stompin' grounds. We love Disneyland!!

Aunt Ky-Ky's Wedding

My sister Kylie got married on Feb. 25th. It's still weird to me (she's my little sister, isn't she still 5??) but we love Zach so we couldn't happier for them! The night before the wedding our families drove to Manti and stayed in the Manti House Inn, a bed & breakfast right across the street from the temple (just like we did before my wedding day!). I didn't get a lot of pictures that day. Isn't that temple picture gorgeous?

Girly Girl?

Eva has needed her nails trimmed for a long time. Unfortunately, she would never sit still and I'm a wuss and didn't want to risk cutting her finger while I trim AND try to wrestle with her. Well, today I got sick of being clawed to death and I had a stroke of genius.

Me(in the most enthusiatic voice I could muster): "Eva! Do you want to play beauty parlor with mommy?!"

Eva: "Yeah!!"

Me: "Ok, I'll trim your nails and you can brush my hair."

Eva: "Yeah!" (Excited laugh and clapping)

Then she sat perfectly still while I trimmed her nails. I kept my promise and I sat on the floor and let her brush my hair (her new favorite thing). Brilliant.

Sweet Eva Kate

We frequently sing the chorus of Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline to Eva, but we change "Caroline" to "Eva Kate." Now when we sing it she adds the "bum-bum-bum" to the end!

Apparently Eva has KJ all figured out.

When a cell phone rings or makes noise she stops, looks around and says, "Da-da"

While at the distribution center, she saw a picture of a man reading the scriptures. She looked at me then pointed to the picture and said, "Da-da!"

Whenever she sees any of the Muppets she points and exclaims, "Da-da!!"

She certainly knows what he's all about! :)
