Dallinisms

Ok, so over the last few days Dallin has said some pretty cute things: I just wanted to share one we found hilarious.
A couple of days back, I was sitting at the computer and completely ignoring the chaos upstairs when Dallin starts screaming and crying. I make my way over to the stairs and ask him what happened. His answer is completely unintelligible and so he finally makes his way down the stairs where he explains. "Kylie's drum came flying at me and I forgot to move!" Now how did the drum start to come flying at him?? ...I'll probably never know.

Mother's Day and Beyond

Well, I have been remiss in congratulating my kiddos for making my mother's day non-eventful (sort of). I realize that doesn't really make sense, but if you review last mother's day you might get a nice little recall. :) Ok, well it was fabulous! They brought me breakfast in bed and tons of the cutest gifts ever! Then we went to Church, got roses and cake and came home and I actually got to take a nap! Now, my sweet husband set out on the daunting task of taking care of the kids and making a wonderful steak dinner including homemade blueberry pie. I don't think he'll take on quite so much next year! We did, however, get a screaming Kylie starting around 4pm. My bliss didn't last and I spent a little bit of my time cursing the day...j/k. She got a fever around 7pm and I was so mad as I pictured us once again heading to an urgent care clinic on Mother's Day, but all was not horrible. Tylenol quickly broke the fever and despite the screaming it really was a wonderful day. We got to stay home and we didn't have to see one person in a white coat!!

FYI: I took Kylie to the doctor Monday (while David stayed home and painted the kitchen--Wahoo!) and turns out she had another ear infection. Anything beats a UTI!

In other news: I know I keep saying this, but Kylie is amazing us constatntly. She is crawling more and more. We are so pleased! A few days back we walked in the kitchen and found her
like this...

She was stuck and screaming about it, but we thought it was hilarious!
Well, I am off! Emily lost her lens in her glasses and then new ones came in so we have to go them and Kylie is now starting liquids (Yea!) so I have to go buy some canned fruit. (The juice is a thicker liquid until she passes the next swallow study.) Busy busy!

For Me

Alright this is entirely out of laziness. I don't want to pull out the baby books and I am cleaning out the study right now and found Dallin and Kylie's 4 and 2 year check-up pages. By the way, getting 4-year-old shots followed by 2 year-old makes for one of the most hideous moments possible. Ok on with the stats so I can throw away these papers:

Stuff

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the last few days with the mornings cool and the afternoons warm. We won't mention that the mosquitoes came out and my legs are covered in bites...Anyway, Friday night I made homemade pizza packed it up and we got on our bikes and rode down the trail behind our house to the park and had a picnic. The kids ran around, we ate, it was delightful. I just love where we live!!! Well, the next day the pool opened and our kids begged and begged. I got halfway in and it was way too cold for me. I don't like being cold. Dallin, too, hates being cold, but for him it's because there is no meat on his bones at all. He is super thin, so after about 45 minutes his lips were blue and his teeth were chattering. We sat on the side and I held him close. This is a huge rarity to hold my little man, so I was looking at him and noticed he had some freckles on his face. I told him this and he starts screaming, " I don't want freckles...What are freckles???" I told him that I, too, get freckles in the summer. That did nothing. So I told him Daddy is covered in freckles. His reply, "I want to have more, get me more!!" I love that kid.
